Backstory of the Blind Eyes (PART 1)

The war of Stars

It all started with void in which two Gods named Rand and Doom were born. Having spent a lot of time in darkness, they decided to create knowledge which could help creatures to reach their level of enlightenment. They created a star race and put great hopes on them. The creatures were leaded by five Star Ladies.

Wisdom of Gods was divided into five types of knowledge (Cognition – познание, процесс познания!) which were placed in stones and given to Stars for studying.

But disagreement between Ladies led them to a quarrel and later to a war with each other.

Disappointed with their failure Gods decided to try again.

They created a small planet far away from the war and settled different creatures on it.

As time went on, one species started to dominate over others. The world was gradually split into humans and monsters (beings that remotely resemble humans). Feeling superior to monsters, a group of people formed the cult of the rise of the human race. Many didn’t take the sectarians seriously, but some were attracted by the speeches about the extermination of the monsters and the fulfillment of desires.

They decided to sacrifice a monster child to attract God’s attention. And they succeeded. Gods were furious. As a punishment, leaders of the cult and their subordinates were turned into horrible beasts and sealed under the ground.

(Subordinates were turned into parasites and leaders became parasite Queens. Queens feed on human souls, while parasites bring them to be devoured. Parasites get into a human’s soul and consume it until a human dies, and then they bring the soul to the Queen).

Gods decided to separate humans and monsters. Humans were left on the Earth and monsters were exalted to the heavens. To relocate and to protect monsters Gods created five Guardians and their helpers.

Guardians (summary)

1. Milady Earth.

Even though she looks like she’s the youngest of the Guardians, Earth is the oldest. She’s very fun and positive. Despite her foolery, she can be kind and wise. She was made from soil, grass and sakura. Her subordinates, the Grey, were made from stones from a Japanese garden. Their feature is speed, they run and do everything rapidly. Most of the time they work in a garden and on plantations.

(Earth’s kiss grants a monster magic and turns him it into a Spirit, a guide to another world)

2. Duke Air

The smartest of the Guardians. He has high self-esteem and leadership skills. Despite his cold nature and causticity, he loves his sister (Countess Water) and cares for her very much. He was made from the clouds from the top of a mountain, and his subordinates, the Light Grey, were made from the mountain peak itself. It’s worth noting that most of the Light Grey are women. Men are a rarity because Light Grey women are capable of autogamy. All the Light Grey are great merchants and engineers.

3. Countess Water

The most kind, gentle and passionate (of the Guardians). Some call her “the Mother of the monsters” because of her altruism, tenderness and empathy. She has a quiet and calm manner of speaking. Countess cares about her subordinates a lot and she helps them in taking care of children and old people. She was made from the depths of the ocean, and her subordinates, the Dark Grey, were made from the underwater cliffs. Since they are the strongest, they build and carry heavy items.

4. Lord Fire.

The most emotional of all the Guardians. He is a very windy person, and he often doesn’t think about his actions, what makes Duke Air very angry. Nevertheless, he has a kind nature. Lord was made from lava taken from the volcano mouth. His subordinates, the White, were made from stones covered in ash. They’re all very sensitive and are interested in culture; they write, sing and dance.

5. Baron Death

The most mysterious and the laziest of all the Guardians. He is filled with knowledge and power, but he almost always spends time in his room. He doesn’t move a lot and always smokes his pipe to support his body. Also, Baron doesn’t speak much, and even if he talks, he speaks up to the point. He likes to spend time with his friend Milady Earth. He was made from monster’s bones, and his subordinates, the Black, were made from tombstones. Blacks can use magic and communicate with gods through prayers.

Story of the Guardians

The main task of the Guardians was to take all the monsters to heaven. The meeting point was Atlantis. Some monsters didn’t want to leave. Their families tied them to this place. Guardians warned them that after they leave for the sky it will be very dangerous on Earth and all the monsters will be turned into beasts. However, some decided to stay on Earth, and regretted doing it in the future. Guardians gathered and moved monsters with Atlantis to heaven. Some people remember how land disappeared underwater.

But this is only the beginning.

In heaven monsters helped Guardians to build the Cloud town. The work went well, but after the town was built, somebody unexpected appeared. One of the parasites made it to heaven and asked for shelter from the Queen parasites. He didn’t want to devour souls, so he was banished. Guardians immediately decided to kick the unpleasant guest out, but Lord Fire defended him. He promised that he will house him into a forest near the castle and that no one will ever see him.

He fulfilled his promise. The house was built, and the parasite started to live with the spirit that led him in this world. Everything was calm again… until a human turned up in heaven. It was impossible. A child appeared in the clouds and came into the town. The Guardians were terrified. Duke Air suggest killing him before he does anything terrible, but Lord again defended the human. He said he’ll take the child away into the forest and settle him with the parasite. Air was furious, yet he let him take the child. Since then the kid lived with his foster father (the parasite) and played with his new friend (the forest’s Spirit). 

After everything died down, Lord noticed his unfamiliar attraction to Countess Water. She was the only one who treated him with compassion and love. He was scared, yet he decided to confess his feelings to Water… The answer didn’t satisfy him. Countess understood what would happen to Air if she agreed to be with Fire, and the Lord himself was too young and impulsive for her. The Fire was in great sadness, and gradually his condition was getting worse. He started to drink and didn’t spend any time working. His subordinates tried to help him, but Fire wouldn’t listen to anybody.  Somewhere under the ground a disturbance occurred - Queen Parasites decided to get outside. Gods, having spent too much energy, decided to send one of the Guardians to Earth. They chose Baron Death. Death heard the voice of gods and told his subordinates they’ll go through the forest portal in the nighttime. He dispersed ash from his pipe to erase the heaven’s inhabitant’s memories of him and the Black. 

He was getting ready to go away when he heard the Earth’s voice. She was confused about where her friend was going to. Baron tried to calm her down, but she wanted to know, and when he explained, Earth tried to stop him. He said that he’ll be back and kissed her on her forehead. Because of the kiss, Earth fell asleep right on the castle’s stairs. When she woke up in the morning, she realized that no one remembers her friend but herself. Earth started to wait for the Baron’s return. The time went, and one day the parasite took the kid with him to the town to buy some goods. Monsters looked at the child dreadfully, and he didn’t understand why everyone feared him. He asked his friend, the Spirit, and he said that he only knows that the kid appeared in the clouds. Human asked the Spirit to lead him out of the forest and went into the clouds to find the truth. Having found nothing, he was off to his place when he heard a voice. It was a voice of a small white parasite. He told the child that he got to the heaven with him and he mustn’t be here. He answered his questions angrily, he was insulting humans and made the child think of himself as of an awful beast. The child started to cry - he didn’t want to hurt his friends. Then the white parasite offered him help. He just needed to get into the boy’s soul. The kid trusted the small parasite and that was his fatal mistake. Parasite took advantage of the human’s body and went to the town to satisfy his hunger. The Guardians wanted to stop the parasite that was a great danger, but only Lord Fire was missing for the defence. Lord himself who was drunk yet again went to the forest to his friend parasite. They couldn’t have a heart-to-heart conversation. Dark parasite predicted the death of the Guardians and told Fire to get back and help them to defend the town. Lord was running through bushes and trees as fast as he could, but he realized that it was too late when he arrived. Half of the Cloud town was destroyed. Monsters gathered around the only savior and the last Guardian. He just stood, trying to get himself together. His friends were dead and everything they created was wiped out. In this very moment Lord’s soul became cold. A new era of the heaven world began - the era of the cold fire.
