Derekâs DLC is launching on September 29th, 2022 đĽłď¸. Weâve fixed up the beta bug reports, added final touches, and are finally ready to share Derekâs story with everybody. He is a great guy and I hope people will love getting to spend more time together, with Derek and his family. His story can be played as a romance or as a close friendship.
Iâm not sure the exact hour it will go live, but it will be pretty early in the morning based on Pacific Standard Time.

New Chapter Released!

I know I said the public release would be September 19th, but technically itâs already the 19th in my timezone so I thought, why not drop it at midnight?
With the public release of this new chapter weâre diving into courtly intrigue as the Crown becomes accustomed to their new day-to-day life:
Meeting the Imperial Court, as well as the different factions and political agendas at play
Choices that will influence the Crownâs reputation, and one that may even be locked off depending on previous decisions made. Did you prioritize the public, or forget about them among all the commotion?
Variants of how your chosen love interest will react to your Crown, depending on previous relationship choices your Crown has made. Do you have a low relationship, or a high one?
Two branching routes that each have three different variants depending on what your Crown chose with regards to security and safety. Will you get the best outcome and save lives, or the worst outcome and see casualties? Perhaps somewhere in between?
The love interests are also on the move, some of them quite literallyâŚ

Changed the name mentioned by MĂŽr LĂŽlan during Aâs Chapter 7 romance scene, if you choose to eavesdrop on them. I wonât mention it here to avoid potential spoilers.
Due to issues on mobile and the itch.io app, renaming your saves manually will no longer be possible if you use the in-game save menu. The game will automatically save with your Crownâs name, the chapter youâre on and the LI route youâre on if applicable.
Existing saves may show âCH0â if you load one up that was made in the middle of a chapter, but once you pass through the start of a new chapter, it should correct itself. In other words, itâs not a bug!
Of course, itâs still possible to rename your saves if you Save To Disk, which is what I always recommend over using the in-game save menu.

For those that are unfamiliar with the game
A Tale of Crowns is a high fantasy romance story, told in the form of a text-based interactive novel with choice mechanics. The setting is inspired by Kurdish culture as well as other historical settings in the Middle East such as Ancient Persia, but it also draws heavily from other cultures and countries in the region.
Your character is native to Arsur, a vast empire overseen by a single ruler known as the Crown. Unlike traditional monarchies, however, the title is not inherited through blood. Whenever the Crown dies, their famed golden eyes pass on to the one chosen by the Spirits of this world to be the new Crown. In this story, your MC takes on that role.
There are four different love interests to choose from, whose genders will be customized to suit the preferences of your Crown. You can find more info about them on the blog page!
Also note that this current version of the game is safe for those 16 years and older.

Hi everyone.
The Chapter 3 update is the biggest in terms of wordcount, and frankly, it's also the most disappointing and depressing update ever.
I've included a whole bunch of secrets (complete with a guide), new character art, hidden links and references to IAC... all in an effort to get a crumb of interaction.
It's been a week now, and besides a few survey responses and bug reports, I've received virtually ZERO asks here in Tumblr, or comments in the forum thread about what happened in Chapter 3 itself.
I'm not gonna lie. I'm very much tempted to keep future updates limited access. Because why share it publicly when I get ZERO engagement anyway? If every sneak peek, new idea or even a whole NEW UPDATE I have is met with silence, I might as well keep it private.
If you all want the next update to stay public, please, please send me some asks. About the update, the plot, the characters (including spoilers about IAC), your favorite scenes, anything really. Go ahead and tell me how stupid or dumb my story and characters are.
I don't want any praises or compliments, I want to talk about my story. That's how DDWCaPH! came to be today. Without me talking to other people, this story might have been long forgotten at the bottom of my documents folder.
I'm not overreacting here. The same thing happened when I first updated Chapter 2 as well. I expected this to happen. Doesn't make it hurt any less.
Tell me, am I asking for a lot here? Because seeing all these other IFs that I also adore get comments even without an update, and me getting none when I worked hard for it even while I was sick multiple times, I don't feel like I exist.
So much for writing a slice-of-life story.

DC is releasing a new take on Harley Quinn's origin story in the upcoming The Strange Case of Harleen and Harley young adult graphic novel.
Announced as part of DC's young adult line, The Strange Case of Harleen and Harley comes from writer Melissa Marr (Wicked Lovely) and artist Jenn St-Onge (Bingo Love).
The synopsis for The Strange Case of Harleen and Harley reads, "When Harleen signs up to participate in a clinical research trial with her girlfriend, Pamela, the most she can hope for is extra cash in her wallet and a chance to get her anxiety under control. But what she gets instead are increasingly larger gaps in her memory and stolen mementos from some guy named Jack sheâs never met.
