i feel so distant from everything

I am weary of life.

If death were sold, I would buy it,

longing for Allah, yearning to meet him.

They asked, are you sure of your deeds?

No, not at all.

But I love Him, and I think well of Him.

Would He punish me while I love Him?

Fuḍayl ibn ʿIyāḍ (رحمه الله) said :

‎By Allāh, it is not permissible for you to harm a dog or a pig without just cause, so how can you harm a Muslim?

Truly this is a way to attain khushoo’ in ibadah
