I'm living off of hcs about them, and I already have a bunch to make up for the lack of context ಥ⁠‿⁠ಥ Like Zerum being an expendable on the few Fishbun art I have, I thought of that before her ref sheet came out but I think I'll stick to my hc (as an AU perhaps) of Zerum somehow becoming an expendable and finding Sebastian, so now they're just keeping each other company until she has to leave and try to retrieve the crystal 🫴

The fact Sebastian kept his wedding ring post-UrbanShade experimentation makes me feel unwell because oughgjgh,, , He still thinks about his wife and is a devoted husband despite everything I'm gonna throw a brick at him,, ,

I was being FED when they dropped his Regretevator lines (for those who haven't seen it, he basically said “my wife is going to love these” when you threw flower petals at him) like WAAERSESSDSAYG I bet he’d give Zerum little gifts and be like "I saw this and thought you'd like it” 🥹

Hiii! Thank you for the sweet words 🫶 I do have some headcanons for Pressure but they're mainly fishbun hcs (and a lot of people either don't like fishbun or are just straight up hostile about it), and sometimes character design hcs (⁠・⁠∀⁠・⁠)

I haven't interacted with Pressure as much lately so I don't have any designs to show yet, so here's a little meme 🫴

I'll give you three short little stories, totally not because I lack the creativity for this-

1- Before they started dating, they were in a "inseparable friends who occasionally did something romantic without thinking" phase. One night, they got tipsy at a royal party and were particularly clingy, Marshall Lee turned to him and straight up asked: “Don't you want to be my boyfriend or something?”

He asked this in a (half) joking tone at the time, Gumball just laughed and said “I'll think about it” as a response. The next morning, Marshall, now sober, was a little shy around Gumball all day.

2- Gumball created two types of candy bats while thinking about Marshall Lee, red jelly and marshmallow, and they used to call them "our children" for some time. The candy bats can still be found in dark places around the Candy Kingdom.

3- Marshall Lee once shapeshifted into a monster and started wreaking havoc on the Candy Kingdom just for Gumball to struggle trying to capture him and then complain about it endlessly to Marshall Lee once he was back in the castle, wearing his usual pretty boy form and pretending nothing happened. Gumball was pretty pissed at him when he found out that this was all just a big prank, while Marshall Lee was having the laugh of his life.

Well, in many comics and even episodes of AT Fionna was shown having a crush on Gumball.

I wonder if he ignored her or just didn't understand her somewhat obvious signals.

How did it end? Was it like Princess Bublegum with Finn? She gave up when she found out he was gay???

I imagine Cake as the good friend who is trying to help, but fails miserably lol

Honestly I haven't put too much thought into that, mainly because I tend to forget that Fionna also had a crush on PG lol Her crush on him just seems to be less intense to me idk (⁠・⁠∀⁠・⁠)

I did think about keeping that aspect of their relationship tho, just because I thought it was sweet. My version of Fionna isn't a child so I don't worry too much about their age gap

Gumball is just... Gumball. I think he'd be oblivious at first and compare her behavior to the candy people's, they're also kinda clingy and cherish his attention, so he thought she was just seeing him as someone she can rely on.

Not sure how she'd put out those feelings.. Maybe Gumball starts gently rejecting her advances once he finally realizes she might have a crush on him and Fionna just accepts it (aka she cried on her pillow later but she's good), maybe she drops the idea after Gumball temporarily becomes a child (Tiny Gumball I miss you) and she spends enough time with him while she's a young adult for her feelings to change direction, or maybe Gumball says something that makes her see him in a different light, whether it's about his sexual orientation or something she didn't know/didn't realize about him in general.

Cake trying to help is really funny, she'd basically do what she did in the first Fionna and Cake episode, but after failing so many times and almost pulling her fur out at how oblivious Gumball is, I like to think she'd take a better look at him and go "this guy is definitely not straight". Gumball can be pretty private about his life so he wouldn't clear it up right away, nor would they ask right away, they'd just go back and forth with their own assumptions while Gumball is just there making pastries.. plus Fionna's gaydar sucks

And Marshall Lee… This dipshit is looking her straight in the eye and going “yeah you go girl you can do it 😁” just to have a laugh. He actually used to feel jealous, though. I hc that before they became friends, Marshall didn't really like Fionna because of how close she was becoming to Gumball, but Fionna hated his guts too back then so they're even 👍

Now that they're friends, he just finds this situation hilarious

My Gumball doesn't have blood because he's just gum, so if Marshall bit him, he'd just drink his color (does that count as blood to PG,, , idk) I think it'd be like only eating the filling of a Bubbaloo, and since it's just pure sugar and not that nutritious, Marshall Lee wouldn't drink it that often.

But he does bite Gumball just for fun a lot of times, it's like his love language at this point lol Gumball doesn't really mind because he wouldn't feel the pain or become a vampire if Marshall's fangs sunk too deep (don't ask me why i'm still thinking of a reason for that), so neither of them are intimidated by the act 🫴 If anything, Gumball just finds it funny because Marshall bites him at random, sometimes he'll bite Gumball's cheek after kissing him or have a quick chomp of his knuckles while they're holding hands and he has nothing else to do.

Sometimes Marshall will also have a nibble of his neck when they hug, Gumball's reaction is always something like "Did you just bite me? I felt something >____>" because, again, he can't feel the pain of his bites. I think he'd feel something like a painless pinch, but wouldn't be able to tell if Marshall actually bit him and was about to make him go out in public with a bite mark he didn't notice or if he's just messing with him lol

I was thinking about what costume I would draw for Fionna this Halloween and somehow I ended up landing on Gothic Princess Peach, it's gotta be one of the greatest things I've ever found so here she is

In the comics, Fionna and Cake thought that Gumball and Marshall were going to come out as a couple.

I wonder how they acted around each other to think they were a couple before they even started dating...

I mean, think of this: You have two friends who are older than your entire family combined who seem to have known each other for much longer than you have known them, spent/still seem to spend a lot of time together, and one of them even uses nicknames to refer to the other... It would be hard not to think they have something going on 👁️

They're always together, you can just sense that they had some history by the way they interact. They put in so much energy when they argue too, only for them to turn around and start discussing something more personal, something you have 0 context for but you can just feel that they have a lot of feelings about it. Fionna and Cake must be so used to seeing them behave like this that when they decide to come clean, their minds automatically go to whatever relationship they have lmfao
