for some reason 'wait for it' from Hamilton gives me such Kaz Brekker vibes. both the bits describing Burr and Hamilton. Like:
Death doesn't discriminate
Between the sinners and the saints
It takes and it takes and it takes
And:
I am the one thing in life I can control
I am inimitable, I am an original
I'm not falling behind or running late
I'm not standing still I am lying in wait
And:
He has something to prove
He has nothing to lose
...pace is relentless he wastes no time
Changes the game
He plays and he raises the stakes
These are just Kaz in a nutshell to me.
So I had a dream that Kaz and Inej were living in a house and then the Darkling turned up to kill them so they had to escape and they did of course and they ran away down a mountain and at the bottom of the mountain that kissed. Yes they kissed. My dreams are crazy actually
It will never stop being funny to me that after days and days of hard travel and fighting, most of the Fellowship are covered in mud and blood and dirt and their hair is an absolute mess.
And then there's Legolas. Who somehow is looking as perfect as he always has. And he has the nerve to tell Aragorn he looks terrible after the man fought a load of wargs, fell of a cliff, nearly drowned and then rode for a few days? I think he has every right to look terrible Legolas with your fancy hair.
watching Granada Holmes im only four episodes in and this is amazing also Holmes and Watson are so married
so I have a headcanon that Remus Lupin is actually a really good singer. he didn't like to do it in front of people, just for himself, but sometimes if Sirius begged enough he'd give in. he'd sing with Lily too, ABBA, but insisted she kept it a secret because the others would tease him till the day he died. and he'd sing to baby Harry, lullabys that always worked so whenever the baby was crying he'd be given to Uncle Moony for a song.
then... then he stopped singing for a while. for twelve years, to be precise.
but finally, finally Tonks persuaded him to sing for her. just a little. and he'd sing to her and sing to Teddy and almost be as happy as he was with his old friends.
'“How about I push you in the canal and we see if you know how to swim?” Wylan said with a very passable imitation of Kaz’s glare.'
This is so funny to me. Like imagine if behind Kaz's back the crows have a death glare competition. Just for fun. Jesper cannot manage it in the slightest, Nina is just laughing, Matthias looks slightly ill when he tries and not particularly threatening, Inej is pretty good but Wylan? That boy knocks it out of the park! He's got the Kaz face almost perfect! So they're all staring at him terrified when Wylan himself suddenly looks petrified and they follow him gaze to see none other than Kaz himself, trying to glare at them but he can't hide his smile.
the Quilin (might've spelt that wrong) bows to Dumbledore??? This makes no sense to me. Isn't it supposed to bow to someone pure of heart who can handle power and not be corrupt??? Dumbledore has already shown that he can be corrupted from his dealings with Grindelwald, why would he be chosen? He's a good man but he certainly has a capacity for evil. I propose that the Quillin should've bowed to Newt. I am certain that that man is literally incorruptible and he is so pure and wonderful, all he wants to do is help creatures he does not and will never have plans to use power for ill, so isn't he perfect??? Idk I just thought it was odd.
