Happy SAW day everyone 

I don't think many people realize how much they've been turned into a bunch of casually cynical jerks.

Someone may come to their parents and say "I want to write a book" and their parents will say "it's really hard to get published".

Someone might confide in their sibling and say "I want to sell my art on "x" platform" and that sibling will say "do you know how many people you'd be competing with? Do you know how many shops are even on that platform?"

I know a kid who once told his best friend "I think I wanna start a dnd podcast" and the friend was like "do you know what the word "oversaturation" means?"

Personally, I don't know why any of that matters? And even if it did, perhaps your response should be "Do it! Do it and see where it goes!"

it's so fucking frustrating to be in college and know everyone uses chatgpt and to be tempted by it constantly while also knowing intellectually that it doesn't work and it's a bad idea. like, i hang out in the library a lot, and i see people using chatgpt on assignments almost every day. and i know it isn't a good way to learn, because it's not really "artificial intelligence" so much as it is an auto text generator. and it gives you wrong information or badly worded sentences all the time. but every week i stare down assignments i don't want to do and i think man. if only i could type this prompt into a text generator and have it done in 10 minutes flat. and i know it wouldn't work. it wouldn't synthesize information from the text the way professors want, it wouldn't know how to answer questions, it just spits out vaguely related words for a couple paragraphs. but knowing my classmates get their work done in 10 minutes flat with it while i fight every ounce of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in my body is infuriating.

- When looking for new names, she definitely looked on baby name websites for ideas LMAO

- she had no idea if she should stick to something similar to her original name or pick something completely different

- Contrary to popular belief, she didn’t go with the name Lauren. But Lily instead

- it reminded her of bunnies in a way

- trust me, she went through an entire list of flower names

- Lily is still on a LONG journey of figuring out herself. The only things so far that she’s really changed is the way she has dressed.

- which, in the long run, has helped her self esteem. She’s hoping it’ll help her be brave enough to take the next step

- I think Lily truly realized she was trans, was probably after the third movie? After all this time, she kinda realized how hard it was to put up this façade of being really “masculine.” Which, also made her realize, she didn’t like being masculine at all!

- Which really was an issue for when she was a kid. Because, Lily was a very affectionate child! But she had to pretend and push it down, because it wasn’t seen as “masculine” enough.

- And that lead to many other problems in Lily’s adult life that I would love to get into in another post.

- For a while, she thought she had gone insane until Sam (god bless Sam) stepped in. He didn’t know much, be he had an idea of what was happening.

- And like the bestie he is, he helped her out. Even went clothes shopping with her. HELL— wore a skirt for Lily just to make her more comfortable.

- I love Sam.
