Terra I gotta know... why is everyone hating on Milk Cookie now I don't understand
Tbh from what I’ve been told and what I’ve seen Milk Cookie was hated from the start and suddenly that hate is making waves again.
There’s the misinterpretation of Milk being based on a Christian Crusader, when in reality he’s based on a Cleric from DND. However that hasn’t stopped people from continuing to use it as a basis to hate him. They see the use of crosses on his outfit as offensive and will censor them out.
There’s the fact he’s shipped Purple Yam and/or the fact the two are treated as a kind of dynamic. People rushed to the conclusion that Milk and Yam are “White and Black-coded” characters and that Milk was a colonizer meant to glorify whites while Yam portrays blacks as aggressive “thugs.” Which is just about the biggest reach you can think of. Milk Cookie’s been accused of being a racist, a white supremacist character, and even a straight up depiction of a n*zi.
And more recently people have begun to slam milk cookie and ONLY milk cookie for the events on Pinapple Island where he and Sour dug holes despite Mango’s pleas. They think that this is an unforgivable act and that Ananas was too easy on him. And while I DO think it was a little OOC of Milk, nobody is bashing Sour for encouraging it, and milk wasn’t even doing so to be malicious. He was just a little too excited if anything, and in the end still saved Mango and Pinapplemur from the cave in.
People might try to argue but just looking at the Milk Cookie Tag you can see that these are the top three ways the fandom trashes him. I swear out of all the Cookie Run characters, Milk Cookie is the MOST bastardized and vilified simply for being white colored and having crosses on his design. It’s seriously so fucking stupid and is based on people’s own prejudices rather than actual fact.

You can make whatever pronouns you like but please for the love of GOD don't shit on other people who use different ones. I use the pronouns that's the most common but it's fine if others say different ones.

I have no words for how fucking upset I am with jnj for this fucking BETRAYL of an episode.
This episode was funny, I genuinely liked that.
But the moment 2 showed up.
It all went to hell.
They fucked us over. They fucked EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US over.
X left 4 in the dust. I don’t like 4x, and I think it’s toxic as hell. But even I think X leaving 4 is out of character. This is the same person that literally could not function without Four. You’re telling me this is the same person that would just get up and leave his ass in the dust?
They separated 4x and Losercake, TacoBook and a couple other ships.
But kept fucking FIREAFY.
They were sucking Fireafy dick SO MUCH to the point where they were too big of PUSSIES to separate them.
Despite them arguing is not funny.
Despite Firey being responsible for loneliness.
Despite Leafy almost getting fucking EXECUTED.
But they really went ahead and separated MOTHERFUCKING 4x and Losercake.
They treat this shit like a joke.
They treat EVERYTHING. Like a joke.
And I’ve fucking had it.

I posted abt this on twitter but Two + TPOT might actually turn out to be really interesting and it’s a shame to see people so upset about it! I think it is way too early to be worrying about anything imo.
I think TPOT is going to be temporary and BFB won’t be split permanently, and I don’t think the characters in both shows are gonna be barred from interacting with each other ever again just bc of the split. It would be really weird to have Four w/o X and X w/o Four.
My main theory is I think Two has an ability to divide things in two and their presence is whats causing this. So far we’ve only seen them showcase a couple (very strong!) powers, and if theyre anything like four that means they’ve got more we haven’t seen yet.
Two’s presence might have also cut Four’s strength in half. I wouldn’t be surprised if different algebraliens have different effects on each other depending on who they’re around. Unless Four overexerted themself in previous episodes, he’s definitely acting a lot different, and he’s weaker too. Maybe it’s because two is half of four and that’s just what happens if they’re near each other or maybe Two does have a split-in-two power. Where would the rest of four’s power go? Maybe Two absorbed it? Who knows!
IDK!! hopefully I haven’t missed anything like JNJ saying something that completely debunks this post. But I feel like BFB + TPOT have a ton of potential to play off of one another and deliver some rly cool stuff so I’m pretty excited to see what happens!
