Ok this is very random but it has being bothering me for a while. The stans use the “you’ll marry a king” line as foreshadowing for Queen @rya but even if it were...here’s the thing: when you marry a king you are a queen consort. No power, you are only there to provide heirs and your standing hangs on your husband’s will. Ask Anne Boleyn how much her position as Queen protected her once her husband got tired of her. Heck, even in universe we see poor Ellia completely vulnerable once Rathgar humiliated her in public.
Married to a king would put @rya in a similar position to Ellia Martell or Cersei. The only power Cersei has right now hangs by the thread of Tommen’s life. Her kingdom is falling apart already and when he dies she will fall like a house of cards. Wives of kings do not rule on their own.
Sansa on the other hand will rule on her own right as the oldest sister of King Robb, the last King in the North. Her position as Queen does not depend on any man, her power comes from her Stark name and not a marriage, therefore she can marry -or not- freely.
So, you know, that foreshadowing is not exactly what they think it is.
> not exactly what they think it is.
Arya fandom in a nutshell.
Let em know @minitafan! Bravo.
That fandom forever clinging to that passage is the most hilarious thing I’ve ever seen. Can you imagine how hard they have to work to look past her father talking about one of his children sailing the Sunset Sea sentences before? That has to be a struggle, I don’t envy them.
Sailor Moon is going to sail the ocean blue, and they can die mad about it.
Oh yeah, I forgot about him. No excuses there...
I like to think Conquest always whispers his darkest secrets to people he's about to kill because he has nobody to chat with. "I love rainy days, fluffy kitties, and double rainbows. Take that to your grave." *CRUNCH*
I don't have an issue with the believability of Cecil's dumb hubris nearly as much as I do with the fact that in the Invincible universe, not only can you survive after your head's been shattered into a literal pile of goo, but you can also still talk to request medical assistance.
They really don't know how to support female characters without pitting them against each other, and it shows. Its not impossible to like *both* Stark sisters, you know.
Ship girl stans like to talk how she is the champion of the smallfolk and the trash talk Jeyne Poole an actual commoner for calling Ary@ "horseface'' way back in the book one, i swear to God some of them did not move from the AGOT and it shows
That's pretty much all Sansa antis, not just the shipcels. They're mentally stuck on book 1 and never left (it also explains why they all still think Ship Girl is an oppressed underdog and Dani is still being victimized).
The thing is, yes, we saw Sansa at her worst there (though that's not saying much when other characters' worst is murder or rape) but we also saw her at her most innocent and sweet. I never had a problem liking or empathizing with AGOT!Sansa and it's weird to me so many people do.
Also, if they wanna judge the Starks in book 1, they should talk about Jon's moodiness and Ar.ya literally beating Sansa up. They're lucky their faves don't get negatively judged by first impressions.
Reading the article, Nick's complaints about the film are:
The cartoonishly over-the-top greedy and selfish middle fingers to Big Pharma and "philanthropists" are poorly written and have no depth... because they are cartoonishly over-the-top middle fingers to Big Pharma and "philanthropists"
Ridley is unsympathetic and ungrateful for not being 100% with making billions off the corpse of an innocent mystical creature, can't she see her Dad just wants what's best for *her*?
The plot is tooootally predictable and therefore loses points for originality and impact
And his one bit of praise is that Shepard was magnificently fun to watch, and all because Will Poulter put his soul in it, but you know what, that's valid.
Holy shit, this was scathing.

Food for thought:
The Furies of Greek myth, in order to not be directly named to draw their unwanted attention, were referred to as *The Kindly Ones*
I *thought* he looked familiar! Well, I've had worse excuses to see movies twice in theaters + string together a double feature
If I had a nickel for every science fiction/comedy movie Stephen Park was in in 2025 I’d have two nickels which isn’t a lot but it is funny it happened twice
(Head of security in Mickey 17 and medical lead in Death of a Unicorn)
There is so much going on that I don't know what to comment on first...
Here. A bunch of cursed images and memes redrawn as dp characters
Well spoken sir/ma'am.
As the only girl who was of mixed ethnicities on her white mother’s side of the family, and who had up until now been forced to largely ignore any other side of her, the story of Sal Walkerton (and the drama from the internet) strikes home. So many people are saying “How can Walky be ‘whiter, they’re twins!” and it’s just… a little offensive to be honest, because it’s suggesting that racial traits have no bearing on racism, just skin color. That two people who look alike wouldn’t be treated differently if one acted differently than the other. Even worse, people are using their last line of defense and saying, “Well how can they be racist to their own children, they’re their parents”, which just erases the concept of parental-child abuse.
Because people are being… either ignorant, or oblivious when it comes to subtle plot hinting, here some of the moments where it’s been made pretty clear that Walky has at least considered himself different than Sal in terms of the whole race issue. I actually dug into the archives SPECIFICALLY because people keep saying “it was never made apparent,” or that Sal was just making a low jab to get at Walky. And, well… I found even more evidence than what I originally remembered going into it.
It starts to become noticeable around a year ago:
