does anyone have any recommendations for a batfam or similarly themed discord server?
i feel like it would be fun to talk about comics/fics/whatevers with other people because there is only so much my irl friends can handle lol
this is terrible. fabulous, and terrible.
now can someone recommend me some good angsty jason & tim tics? lol i need to be cleansed
OH GOD OH FUCK
this is my first instance seeing robin-jason todd. this is horrifying

I wrote another Timbit. It’s over 4k words and I am incredibly proud of it!

“ Tim takes photos of his family while they work as vigilantes during his two week bar from scouring the streets. It’s goofy, then emotionally difficult, then heartwarming, and the best part is that Steph keeps stealing Duke’s french fries to knock him down a peg. “
If this prompt isn’t your thing, stop by and suggest something new! I only write centered around Tim Drake and I don’t do crackfics, but that’s it! :D
thank you! i appreciate this a bunch, i dont want to just blindly hate on steph because someone told me to.
my reply to them before i sent the ask was actually “ if you dont like steph, wait until i tell you about bruce wayne “ and someone gave me a wholesome award so i consider that a win in my book lmao
god i sound like a redditor; i was just defending tim drake in the post this was under
hey! how knowledgeable are you on stephanie brown? because i got in a bit of an argument with a dc fan on reddit who claims she's all these awful things, but im still relatively new to steph and i want to see what was true and what wasn't. link to screenie right here: https://ibb.co/vh6CYCJ
these may be matters of opinion, but even then, i'd like to know your take. i haven't read her firsthand often enough and i trust your judgement over this random redditor who seems to have some sort of blonde-woman related trauma left untapped.
I'm not necessarily the most knowledgable on her in the world, but I do know a decent amount because she's one of my absolute faves and I love her
But ohhhh boy that screenshot is a lot.
I will say that several of the things this person brings up are based in canon but are taken in the worst faith and framed in the way that makes her look as bad as possible, if that makes sense? It’s ripping things away from any context, because there's a very clear bias against her here.
I'll go through it point by point under the cut

Could anyone tell me how old at least one of the Batboys (jason, tim, dick, duke, damian) were when Alfred died, or if any of them didn’t exist? I’m blending new and old comics for my writing and I’m having continuity errors.
batgirl, work your creepy magic
some more okay-dad!jack drake for you
i dont know if anyone finds jack drake as interesting as i do, but his relationship with tim really draws me in.
even without tim as robin, there is still something drawing them apart, like a mutual misunderstanding between the two. jack acts boarderline selfish in his raising of tim, but he's also grieving in the same way bruce and tim are.
instead of solving the root of the problem (even if tim would have nearly never caved), he sends his son away to cause trouble out of jack's sight. obviously, the writers had to do this for the sake of the story, but its still very sad.
people who blindly hate jack drake either see him hitting too close to home or haven't truly read him enough, and that makes me a little sad.
luckily theyre just comic books lmao

an ill tim gets carried by batman. i always see screencaps of bruce carrying an injured dick or jason, but THIS deserves some credit too.
i like to think that even though bruce is still really distancing himself from tim, he still cares. i don't believe in bad people, and i certainly dont believe in bad bruce.
anyways, look at that height difference and tell me tim isnt destined to be short.
tim got feverish stress dreams about failing bruce, EVERYONE WRITE THAT DOWN.
tim drake and jack drake interactions for your viewing pleasure
the flash picking on tim drake, and tim drake being defensive of his age.
if fanon got one thing right, it's that tim doesn't like people insinuating that he's young lmao
tim is such a lover-boy. he gets all the men and ladies. you are down here, and tim is up here.
everyone, batman & dog.
they really like to show that batman is a dog person. i love it.
personally, im a cat person (this is my boy)
not to get anyone's hopes up, but keep your eyes peeled for the next ~10 years because my life goal is to take some creative role in a dc movie or tv show containing tim drake as a major character.
is this incredibly cocky? absolutely, but im making this post so that it will either age poorly or fantastically.
listen, i have to work for something big in life, so let me be cocky this once.
