I’m No Angel [Hunter!Gabriel x Fem!Reader] - Pt. 1

Pairing: Hunter!Gabriel x Fem!Reader, Hunter!Cas (Mentioned), Sam, Dean

Warning(s): slight blood, profanity

Summary: You were researching for the Winchesters at the bunker, helping them out on a case when a portal opens up in the library, shooting out a stranger driving a motorcycle.

A/N: I really enjoy the AU idea of Gabriel and Castiel being hunters instead of angels, now I have the inspiration to write them as hunters, your very welcome 😊😊😊.

You were just reading up on several supernatural beings that had any similarities with what Sam and Dean were dealing with on their hunt, finding the monster they were facing was a Vetala, at least to what you could pin it down to be, in that moment, deciding to call up Sam to tell him the news, 

“Hey (Y/n), what do you have for us?” 

“Hey Sam, I have what I believe the creature your hunting is a Vetala, which explains why people are turning up dead in the woods, going off the trail and into the Vetala’s territory,”

“So we’ll need to gank the bastard with a silver blade, got it? This is great, and we’re going hiking too? What fun this will be,” you smirked at the sarcastic voice of Dean from the other end of the line. 

“I wish I could be out there hunting with you guys. I can take care of myself and kick the ass of whoever stands in my way.”

“We know how capable you are, but with everyone out on cases and Cas looking into how to bring Jack and our mother back, we need someone there to monitor things, someone has to be there in case they come back somehow,” Dean spoke, his voice lacing many truthful excuses of the reason you couldn’t hunt, but knew that it was only half the reason you couldn’t hunt. 

Sitting in what it felt like eternal silence only being five minutes, knowing full well Sam was giving him a glare to tell you a nice way of saying ‘No way in hell are you hunting’. Sam knew how much you wanted to go on a hunt, even just to stay in the motel room and research. Dean’s answer would never budge. 

“Thank you (Y/n), if we need any more help...” Sam was cut off by you speaking. 

“I’m right here to help in any way I can.” Saying your goodbyes before the call ended, you let out a sigh, how much you wanted to go on a hunt, how much you wished you could adventure with the Winchester to hunt a monster causing trouble, even if you were confined to the motel you were to stay at.

You knew Dean only kept you from hunting due to you being a part of this life that had not died yet, and Dean intended to keep it that way. You were suddenly pulled out of your thoughts by the light fire crackling, looking up to see that a golden portal had opened up, the golden slither you were all too familiar with when Jack was being born, now only on the other side of the table. Getting up from your seat as cautiously as you could, not knowing what exactly would pop out of the portal before you as you took slow steps around the left side of the table. Picking up your gun from beside a pile of books as you walked passed the end of the table,

A motorcycle came bursting out through to the front area of the bunker, causing you to jump back from the portal. Witnessing the person fall off it as the bike continued, slamming into the stone bunker wall.

THUD! CRASH!

You of course had all of your wits, not knowing how dangerous the person would be, keeping your gun in your (right/left) hand as you rushed towards the person, jumping slightly when the man moved to sit up, this causing your gun to be aimed at him as he reached for his gun.

“Don’t even think about it,” 

The man stopped reaching for his gun, looking up at you wearing his dark golden helmet through the heavily tinted visor, raising his arms up, hissing in pain as he rested his right arm to his side. You hear the hiss, lowering your gun slightly, gazing over at the motorcycle, seeing the damage it did before looking back down at the strange man who you believed to be injured. 

Deciding at that moment to help the stranger, putting your gun’s safety on and placing the firearm in the back of your pants before helping the stranger onto his feet. Your arm wrapped around his back as his arm wrapped over your shoulder as you escorted him to the infirmary of the bunker, getting him to sit on the bed. 

“I’m going to get some things from the cabinets. Stay seated,” you rushed over to the cabinets, getting all that you needed from the cabinet. You walked back to the man. Looking. up to see that he began taking off his helmet, however seeming to struggle to take the thing off.

“Here, let me help,” You spoke as you quickly came back with all you needed, placing them on the bedside gently before helping the stranger with his helmet, removing it to place it beside the man. 

“Thanks,” 

The man spoke finally, causing you to look at him, whiskey eyes staring back at your own (e/c) eyes,  briefly as you went back to the task at hand. Patching the stranger up.

“No worries, now, I need to remove the top half of your clothing to get to the route of the problem.”

A smirk flickered onto the man’s face before you

“What? Not even gonna offer me a drink first? I think that’s just extreme...”

“Do you want me to help you or not?”

The man became silent, nodding in compliance as you pulled the zipper down off his jacket before helping him pull the jacket off by starting with the arm that was perfectly fine before slowly yet surely pulling the article of clothing off him.

“What’s your name?”

You asked, hoping to help the man focus on something else besides the excruciating pain he felt shooting through his right arm.

“Gabriel,”

The name caused you to look at the man with a furrowed brow.

It can’t be…….Dean said he died

“I know, weird name, right? That’s my dad for ya, weirdest man in the family, also one of the most egotistical people you’ll meet. He gave myself and my siblings' weird names,”

“It's not that. It's just not what I expected it to be. Your dad must’ve been into the bible,”

Gabriel tilted his head to the left, confusion riddled all over his face at your statement, wincing slightly as you continued to sew him up. Once you were done sewing up Gabriel, you placed disinfectant on the wound before wrapping it up in bandages.

“There we go, all done,”

You put all the medical supplies away, put them back where you found them in the infirmary, and put what you cleaned the wound in the bin.

“Why would Gabriel be in the bible? From last I checked, it was Dean, Samuel, and Adam who were the three archangels.”

This statement had you baffled, 

Sam and Dean were archangels in Gabriel's universe? Oh dear.

“Well, ‌maybe in your universe, but here, they’re very much human. I only said that you were in the bible because in this universe, you’re an archangel,”

You, of course, left out the part about the archangel being dead, not wanting him to be too freaked out. Gabriel sat before you, completely speechless. His jaw had gone slack from the information as his mouth hung ajar. To you, this reaction seemed more or less calm than you expected it to be. You swore you would freak the fuck out at the information you just gave to the man before you. 

“I know this is a lot, trust me, when I found out about the supernatural, it was terrifying, I was completely freaked out at the idea of more to one universe, less so when I found out that this wasn’t the only version of reality Chuck created,”

“What? Pffft, nooo! I can handle this sort of information, not overwhelming at all. Not even when you just said my dad is the creator of the universe, that doesn’t frighten me, no way,”

Gabriel’s voice sarcastically spoke to you, hints of fear lacing his words as his face went from snarky to freaking out in mere moments. You eyed him with a worried expression.

“Do you need anything else? I really have little going on,” you spoke to him, hoping to get him distracted from his thoughts.

“I think…”

He trailed off for a moment before collecting himself, clearing his throat audibly.

“I think I’m just gonna crash here,”

“There’s a spare room that we have here in the bunker that I can take you to,”

And with that, he followed you to the spare room you mentioned, never uttering a word. Though you wanted to, he didn’t appear to really want to talk, not after what you had just revealed to him. 

Maybe I should have waited for Sam and Dean to get back.

Once you got to the room, you let him make himself at home, reminding him if he needed anything to come and find you, he simply nodded before entering the room, you walked down the hallway, back the direction you came, hearing the door click closed behind you as you walked back out to the library. Your gazed soon drifted over to the crash sight, seeing the damage easily from where you stood, letting out a sigh, knowing full well Dean would be pissed when he got back to see the damage that had been caused.

But there was the key problem that remained, a thought that had been brought forward once you could finally gather your thoughts. It was Gabriel’s wounds. They couldn’t have been from the crash, they had to have occurred beforehand.

“But by what?”

Or worse, by who?
