Kinda me on the right tbh ahah I think one of the reasons I do this is because I often see art where he's an overly sensitive, depressed crybaby, and that's just not how I see him at all and I'm tired of it. And that makes me want to make him more hostile and impenetrable. He's not actually heartless, he still feels guilty, but it's not enough to make up his stubborn personality for me

TW: the Watcher spoilers I'm digging through the game files and noticed a couple of interesting things in the names of the scene art. Nothing really important but just small things I guess everyone accepted the scags from the intro for Watcher's family? But we didn't know for sure, and they were all different colors… Well, they actually ARE his family. The parts with them are called "sibling" and "mom". Also, the red scag is called "enemy".
The other (and more interesting to me) thing I found is those echo's golden diamond things being called "chains". Good to know I guess

I never really understood what this Surv's dream meant before, I never really thought about it. But then I focused on it and... These are ghosts of slugcats. 3 slugcats. The Survivor's family had 5 members. The Monk is ALIVE at the time of the Survivor's campaign. So... These are ghosts of his parents and 2nd sibling? Does this mean that the rest of his family never make it to safety and died in that rain - that's what got me 'cause I've never thought 'bout it this way

Rainworld flora part. 3 Btw going to reiterate; some names are made up and just aligns with my headcanon!
A common trend in rainworld is being highly adaptable which is no hard task for it's flora. Specialized plants and animals tend to have a major color but for the sake of simplicity, all unspecialized plants are green here. Black is a common trend in the world as well to absorb sunlight and thus, heat.

Solar Fronds are a type of fern that favors high altitude environments (hence why they're only seen in one region ingame).
Brain Trees are a giant and ancient type of mushroom that has an incredibly long life. They are the main source for iterator mycelial anatomy due to their incredibly complex mycelium network. The inside of them is a bright electric blue.
Wild Bloodtrunks are the non-domesticated version of bloodtrunks, initially discovered deep underground during excavation efforts to the void sea.
