I don’t get akeshu / shuake at all.
Like I get it from a typical “fandom loves the enemies to lovers trope” perspective but in all honesty I don’t get the insane brainrot the persona 5 fandom has for this ship.
Like do I think Joker cares for Akechi? Yes.
Do I think he was genuinely conflicted/tempted by Maruki’s ultimatum? Yes.
Do I think they have a genuine relationship and see a lot of themselves in each other and actually somewhat understand each other? Yes.
That being said, I really don’t see how anyone can look past the fact that Akechi tried to kill Joker. And okie fine enemies to lovers, fandom’s favorite ship aside, I don’t see how Joker can actually want a full on relationship (like romantic) with this dude when Futaba, Sojiro, and Haru are like right there?
This may just be me but I reallllllllly wouldn’t be friends with someone who is friends (hell forget even in a romantic relationship) with someone who horribly hurt me.
And I don’t think Joker loves Akechi more than Futaba, Sojiro, or Haru. Especially Sojiro and Futaba. Those two are like his family, and Akechi is responsible for their suffering.
Like… it’s kind of one or the other. Joker can’t be friends/dating Akechi without horribly betraying Futaba, Sojiro, and Haru. That’s just how I see it (but I’m open to hearing other perspectives!)
My Queen... 😍
Here is a cute Asriel. I will color this in eventually. Also, I’m not DEAD! Okay, so I’ve kind of been in a writer’s block for a while and I actually have been drawing. i just keep forgetting to post. Sorry to whomever it may concern and I’ll try to do better. To the people who have stuck through for me even now, thanks. ©Undertale by Toby Fox
I can't believe nobody is in Hades 2
oh my god the Scylla song SO DELIVERED LIKE I THOUGHT IT WOULD
Okay so I’ve seen a lot of people being like “oh Eurylochus is not a hypocrite bc he didn’t intentionally sacrifice the crew with Circe like Odysseus did with Scylla”
And while yes it is not the same, uh…….. here’s the problem from my perspective and why I still totally think he’s a hypocrite.
He was the one who had those men under his command. Odysseus gave him a mission and for that mission, Eurylochus was in charge of those guys. Then he LOSES (yes it is his fault, he was responsible for those men) the men to Circe and then runs back to Odysseus and immediately is trying to leave. He in a way is actively choosing to ABANDON those men without even TRYING to attempt a plan to save them. Like he doesn’t even think about it.
Yes Odysseus and the Scylla situation are messed up and it is not the same as Eurylochus and the Circe situation, but sorry guys this man is absolutely still a hypocrite. For his own self preservation he was about to abandon a bunch of men HE LOST to a supposed evil. The only difference is that Ody did it deliberately while Eurylochus’ incompetence caused it.
And here’s the thing, we can argue that Odysseus bc of the Scylla situation is more of a monster than Eury. I’m not even saying the mutiny is not justified. IT ABSOLUTELY WAS. The crew absolutely should have mutinied and Eury was right to challenge Ody.
However, these characters are complex and like yeah, Ody is a monster and a conniving schemer, but he is ultimately just a man trying to get home. And Eury is a fool and a hypocrite that would abandon his men for his mistakes but he is also just a tired man who is starving and suffering.

So I’ve been paying Dragalia Lost lately, and I’ve only had Euden for a day and a half but if anything else happens to him I will kill everyone on Tumblr and then myself. i love him so much stop making him suffer cygames
Rough Sketch under the cut (curse you tumblr for the potato quality of my art)
Okie look, I’m not a huge fan of Eurylochus, I’ll keep it a buck fifty. I think the man is a hypocrite and a fool.
That being said, OH MYGOD this man really tug at my heartstrings man. This saga especially I felt so bad for him???! Him genuinely sounding so tired in Mutiny and so regretful in Scylla and so broken and defeated in Thunder Bringer.
Just… Jorge and the team did such a good job of writing these characters man. That is how you know a piece of media is well done; you see a bunch of debates from many people about the characters and their motivations and each side makes very valid points. It’s just so good!
hot take: Miles and Gwen should NOT end up together during or at the end of Beyond the Spiderverse.
Hear me out, this is not anti gwiles at all.
I think as the audience we get to see the nuances of Gwen’s situation in ATSV and we sympathize with her and understand (well most of us). However, try considering it from Miles’ perspective.
Honestly, if Gwen put me through the crap she put Miles through (intentionally or not), it would take a LONG time before I gave her the chance to be close friends again, let alone dating.
I’m not saying gwiles shouldn’t happen. It can (it is a very cute ship) but it requires a lot of time and healing for both of them, time that honestly I don’t think BTSV is going to have. While I think the movie is probably still going to rush gwiles, I personally think honestly it would be better if at best it was hinted but not outright. But hey, we’ll see.
