“Yoongi-ah,” You tucked your hands under your chin, elbows leant forward as a summery smile graced your face. The effulgence of the burning candles illuminated both your faces, the dark surrounding filling your vicinity but the boy with the soft blonde hair gazing back at you with the same reflection of love and devotion was the only thing that mattered. “What did you wish for?”

Yoongi only smiled foolishly, his gummy smile showing you couldn’t help but flip at the light chuckles that fall from his parted lips before looking back at you with an intense gaze.

“I wish,” Yoongi dragged on, his teasing tone making you pout slightly and god, he wished he can just shove the cake aside and press his lips against yours. “I wish to have a forever with you.”

“Forever?” You raised your brows, smirking at him behind the thick soft smoke of the flames.

“Yeah,” Yoongi replied back nonchalantly but his sincere tone catches you off guard. “I want to walk this earth, age through my years and explore all the opportunities in this world. But as long as you are on my side, I will gladly take on this world.”

“You’re so cheesy gosh,” You giggled, soft fingers reaching out to pinch the milky supple cheeks. “But I love you too.”

The dimness of the street lights gave a luminescent glow along the streets outside, ghost of strangers brushing past by the closed cafe and they took little notice of the romantic scene that played behind the stacked chairs and clean tables where both you and Yoongi sit. A strange place for a mini celebration, but Yoongi got his wish - a cake, candles and you.

He wasn’t a firm believer of wishes and that those childish things will be granted before their very eyes. But when you graced your way into his life like a God gifted wish, he starts to think magic does exist because here you are in his arms and he loves it that way. Wishes aren’t as bad after all. It becomes a tradition, a ritual, a hope that blooms in both your hearts as you pray that whatever wish was made, it would come true with love, handwork and devotion.

Yoongi gazed into your eyes a little longer, a silent blessing he repeats in his head as he skirts the blush that dusts your cheeks and the galaxies that swim in your eyes as you await his declaration of affection. He slides his fingers in yours, a perfect fit, he thinks, before his mouth parts in shades of soft pink. Its enough to remind him that he wishes for a forever.

“I love you too,”

TRIGGER WARNING: anxiety mentioned in detail

Yoongi was awake. His body felt heavy as lead, his limbs practically melting into the mattress and yet his brain refused to dull. Thoughts flickered across his mind in time to your breath next to him, memories of forgetting words on stage or messing up in interviews resurfaced and seemed to drag him down. Yoongi was meant to be sleeping.

The white curtains fluttered in the slight night wind, revealing a navy shade that looked like someone had thrown a blanket over the usually bright town. Yoongi tried to focus on the splattering of stars, a smile spread on his face as he imagined someone poking holes in the navy blanket that covered the bright blue sky.

But his mind could only be distracted for a bit before it began to wonder, and he became restless, wanting to get up and scream from the top of his lungs. There seemed to be a lump in the back of his throat and just as he was sure he was going to throw up, you rolled over.

Pairing: Jimin x Reader

Genre: Another attempt of angst.

Words count: 2461 words.

Summary: While arguing with you because of his girlfriend, he accidentally made you fall down stairs. Now, the truth will come up.

You should have believed me: [Part.1]

“You should go and rest Jimin” He quickly denied, without hesitation, he was not going to leave you, he could not, all the guilt was eating him alive and only calmed down when he was with you.

Your best friend looked at him sympathetically. So ignorant of what had actually happened.

Had he told the truth? No, he didn’t have the guts to do it.

Sooyoung’s thin hand took Jimin’s hand. She gave him a small smile.

“I insist… You’ve been here since she came and you just go out to eat when we force you, you sleep in that awkward chair and you refuse to leave her alone for a minute” Jimin bit her lip, how would she react if she knew you were in that bed because of his fault? He looked at you, since a few days that you were lying on the hospital gurney, you wore the hospital gown and many cables tied you to life.

Although your condition was not very serious, it was a bit delicate. You had not awakened, since that day, you had not opened your eyes again. Eyes that Jimin was dying to see again.

He wanted to tell you how regretful he was, how miserable he felt for what had happened, for how he had made you suffer. Jimin stood by you all the time in the hope that you would open your eyes so he could beg for your forgiveness.

It was all he wanted for the last 3 days.

Jimin turned his gaze to Sooyoung and taking your hand, caressing your fingers, smiled sideways and without taking your eyes off your face, said:

“I’m going to stay until those eyes open again, Sooyoung” And with that, your friend smiled happily.

"You’re a good friend … I swear she’s lucky to have you” And Jimin could not help but feel like the worst shit in the world, Sooyoung looked at you too, paying close attention to how your face had some bruises “How did this happen to you, darling?” He asked, still knowing he was not going to have an answer “You say it was an accident?” She asked to Jimin.

He remained static, he had managed these three days to evade the subject of your “accident.” Because yes, he was so unashamed that he said that what happened to you was an accident, and we could say that it was, but Jimin omitted a small and important detail, the accident, indirectly, had been his fault.

Not knowing what to say, he began to bite his lip, it was his end, he could not think of anything to say.

And he almost burst into tears, when the sound of the door opening and a voice saved him. When Sooyoung’s gaze went from being above him to the door, he sighed in relief.

He turned to look who was his savior. He smiled as Jungkook walked through the door with a bag of what appeared to be food.

“How she is?” Leaving the bag on the table and rummaging in it, he pulled out some bottles of soda that he gave to both of them, he looked at your body inert on the bed and smiled with pity.

“Same as always” Sooyoung replied, Jungkook nodded.

Jimin opened his bottle and drank from it, he was not going to lie, he was exhausted, he did not eat or slept, he could not, he tried, but every time when he closed his eyes, all he saw was you falling down the stairs, and your eyes, your eyes looking at him with a mixture of horror and hope, your hand trying to take his. A nightmare that he refused to happen trough again.

“Glad you’re here Kookie” Sooyoung said, breaking the silence that had been created in the room. Jungkook raised a eyebrow, confused “And maybe you can persuade your friend to go home and rest”

“Hyung…”

“No” Jimin said firmly “I will not leave her” Jungkook nodded, knowing how stubborn his hyung could become, so he simply closed her mouth.

“Oh, I almost forgot” he whispered, remembering what he had to say “Seulgi says you have to call her, says you has not answered her calls for more than two days” Jimin froze at the name of his girlfriend. He had turned off his phone because he knew she would go crazy to see that from the day you entered in the hospital, he had not had contact with her.

A pair of eyes looked at him curiously, waiting for an answer. He evaded both of them and stared down at the ground, he whispered.

“I’ll go see her later, thank you” Sooyoung saw his chance. She knew Jimin would not leave your room for anything in the world, but maybe his girlfriend could do something about it.

“Oh, Jimin?” At the call, Jimin looked at her “Can you do me a favor?” Jimin hesitated for a second, but after Sooyoung’s eyes looked at him with supplication, he had no choice but to accept.

“Sure”

“Can you go and get more blankets for YN?” It’s getting very cold and the ones she has are not enough. “And she knew that if it was about you, he would accept without a doubt. And she hit the spot. Jimin stooded after nodding quickly as the idea made sense in his head. When he left the room, Sooyoung set in motion the second part of his plan.

"Now, Jungkook” The younger man frowned “Do you know Jimin’s cell phone password?” A little confused, he nodded" Perfect, look, I appreciate Jimin being worry of YN, but I’m worried about his health too. He is exhausted I know and refuses to leave. So I thought that if neither you or I made him come to reason, maybe Seulgi can” And with all the innocence of the world, Jungkook nodded, thinking that his hyung was too good for worrying about his best friend.

He walked to his partner’s coat and took the cell phone, unlocking it with the password he knew. Fortunately Jimin had not changed it. He looked among the contacts and when he found the name of Seulgi. He call her.

“Jimin?”

Jimin finished arranging the extra blankets he’d gotten for you, even though Sooyoung and even Jungkook had volunteered to do so, he refused. With each of his actions he was only trying to kill the guilt he felt.

When he turned around, he could see how Sooyoung and Jungkook hurriedly left the room, the girl beckoned that they would be back at once, so he just nodded.

Turning his gaze to you, his chest began to weigh when he saw the bruises you had, pressed his lips to stifle the urge to cry. His fingers caressed your hair delicately.

“I’m sorry” he whispered to the edge of tears “I’m so sorry” The first sob “I’m an idiot” The first tear rolling down her cheek “I’m a big jerk, I know, I don’t deserve you, you were always the best friend, you were there for me, always for me and only for me … And look what I did to you, look how I paid you” He freed himself in the hope that you could hear him.

He did not hear when the door opened, or when a person’s footsteps stopped behind his back.

"Jimin” Seulgi whispered.

Surprised, Jimin turned around to see her, he was planning not to speak to her until things were solved with you. Jimin wiped the tears with the sleeve of his sweater.

“What are you doing here?” He asked, trying to normalize his breathing. How had she found out where he was?

“Sooyoung called me and told me what happened” And it all took its place, when she asked him to go for some blankets was when she did.

He was not yet mentally ready to face his girlfriend.

“Look, I know it’s terrible what happened to YN” Your name in her mouth just did not sound good, it sounded dirty “But who I care about it’s you.” Jimin looked at her in disbelief. What did not matter to her how you were?

“I didn’t ask you to do it” Jimin replied.

“You do not have to, I’m your girlfriend and I don’t need you to ask me to worry about you.” Jimin rolled his eyes.

“If you came here to ask me to leave, I’ll tell you what I said to Sooyoung and Jungkook, I will not leave here until she wakes up, and maybe even not after that” Seulgi’s eyes widened in surprise.

“Are you serious?” She asked indignantly. Jimin looked at her.

“What?” Seulgi pursed her lips angrily.

“Are you really going to care more for her than for me?” For real? After what she did to me?“ And there it was, the dilemma that had been spinning around Jimin’s head. And the problem that had led you to be in that bed: The lies of Seulgi.

Now he was sure which side he was on, now he was sure who to believe, now he was sure who was telling the truth.

It was time to face and unmask Seulgi. He would do it for you.

"Tell me something, Seulgi, and I want you to answer with the truth” Jimin looked straight at her and in her eyes, Seulgi felt intimidated by the unfeeling look her boyfriend was giving her.

“W-what?” She asked uncertainly.

Jimin sighed heavily.

“Did YN actually do what you say she did?” And it was better for her to answer with the truth, or Jimin would be mad.

The girl was instantly nervous.

“How can you doubt it?” When I told you, you were sure of what I said. Why do you doubt now?“ She became indignant, and Jimin’s lips tightened with anger.

"Because now I don’t believe you, Seulgi” Jimin approached to his girlfriend, she stayed in her place.

“It’s incredible, what did she say? I bet she told you I was lying, didn’t she?” Jimin growled. He would not let her talk about you like that.

“That’s right.” And with that, Seulgi giggled incredulously.

“And you’re going to believe her more than me?” I’m your girlfriend, oh my god Jimin. She was the one who hurt me! She’s the one lying here, not me!“ She chuckled angrily. Jimin sighed, and she still had the nerve to get angry?

"I used to believe you, Seulgi, because I was blinded by the love I felt for you” he said.

“You felt?” She asked.

“But not anymore, I’ll never believe you Seulgi anymore. I’m not going to fall for your lies anymore”

"Are you going to let her to do this to us?” Are you going to let her get away with it? She told me she would to whatever on her power to get you away from me. What did she tell you to put on her sid… “Jimin was losing his head, even after seeing you unconscious, she was still lying.

"Stop pretending Seulgi” Jimin roared interrupting Seulgi, she shut up instantly, astonished that he had raised his voice to her “How can you continue lying after seeing her like that, Seulgi? Do not you have a bit of shame?”

"Alright! Yes, I lied! She didn’t do anything to me” Jimin stepped back, the pain on his face. You always told the truth. It was always like this.

“But I did it because she was a threat, she was always over you!” Jimin closed his eyes when the guilt had finally hit him hard “But I don’t lie when I tell you that she hates me, I would do anything to separate us baby” Jimin was disgusted to be called like that by her “I would be not surprised if she caused that to herself only to make you feel pity for her. And her theatrical worked, because now you’re already against your own girlfriend” And with that, Jimin exploded.

“And who is in that bed is my best friend Seulgi!” My best friend since 5 years! Whom I hurt to defend you! Because I loved you!“ Seulgi opened his mouth in surprise "And you know what she told me before she fell down the stairs?” He approached dangerously, but he was not going to touch her, in his life he was going to touch someone again in the way he did it to you “She promised me, she promised me Seulgi, that she was telling the truth. And that’s all I need to believe her” A sound surprised both of them.

They turned to look, and Jimin paled when she spotted Sooyoung at the door, her eyes watering.

“You … did you do that to YN?” She asked, Jimin didn’t know what to do. He was fucked “Answer!” Sooyoung cried, Jugkook was standing behind her, looking at his hyung hoping he would tell her it was a lie, that he had not done that to his best friend.

“I-It was an accident” she whispered, his eyes starting to fill with tears again. Sooyoung gasped in disbelief. So you were on that bed because of his fault.

“How can you say it was an accident? How do you dare to lie? My God, I’m such a fool! And I thought she was lucky to have a friend like you” Jimin didn’t stop himself and started to cry “Now I understand why you were not sleeping, why you refused to leave her. Guilt was killing you, right?!” Sooyoung walked inside the room.

“Yes … But I also worry about her…”

“Don’t you dare!” Sooyoung pointed his index finger at Jimin. “Don’t you dare say you care about her! How could you worry about her after what you did to? "Jimin denied. He was sorry.

“Sooyoung…”

"Out, now” She cut him off, pointing at the door. Jimin denied in alarm, he was not going to leave you. He would not do that.

“No…” She whispered, her crying growing louder.

“I didn’t ask you, I told you to leave”

"Let’s go, sweetheart” Seulgi tried to grab Jimin’s arm, but he pulled away long before her fingers brushed against his body.

“You shut up damn crazy!” Sooyoung shouted “I want you both out, but I’ll call security!”

“Hyung, let’s go” Jungkook said, walking to Jimin and took him by the arm, but Jimin began to struggle, but he could not against Jungkook. He could never.

“No, please” He pleaded, Sooyoung averted her gaze and hugged herself as she sobbed “Please, Sooyoung, I swear I’m sorry. I swear if I could do something to change what happened I would.

"You should have believed her Jimin! You should have trusted her and none of this would have happened”

What do I start with if I am starting Korean and how to I find out how to speak the basics. Can you help or give tips on how you started out??

안녕하세요! There are some great sites to help you get started on your Korean journey! The best way to study a language is to expose yourself to it everyday for at least 30 minutes to an hour. If you watch some Korean dramas, you can pick up some phrases. When I first started out, I learned how to write my name, then I got a white board and wrote down the alphabet multiple times until I memorized them all. When I would watch dramas, I would write down simple vocabulary that I heard. 

Here are my tips for you:

Make sure you master the alphabet. I don’t recommend just reading how each letter is pronounced but to actually hear it being pronounced. Here is a good video.

List to KPOP and read the lyrics in Hangul. You can learn new vocabulary and how things are pronounced!

Practice your listening and speaking skills. This is the hardest thing to do but many neglect doing this and find themselves only studying vocabulary and the grammar. Don’t make that mistake! From the very beginning you should force yourself to speak it EVERYDAY no matter how awkward and bad it might be. So how can you practice if you don’t have any Korean friends? Here are some tips!

I would recommend recording yourself and posting it on HiNative and/or HelloTalk. People can give you feedback and tips. (Don’t be discouraged if they can’t understand you at times, keep working hard!). 

If you have Netflix, there are some Korean dramas that have Korean subtitles. Watch the drama with… Korean subtitles!!! NOT English subtitles. When you put English subtitles, you aren’t really active listening anymore. BUT when you watch with Korean subtitles, you see how the sentences are pronounced, and you learn new grammar and vocabulary. You’re probably not going to understand much at first, but you should try to write down SOME (NOT all) the vocabulary you aren’t familiar with. These are bound to come up again in the next episode or even other dramas. 

There are reality Korean TV shows on Youtube. They usually put some Korean subtitles. 

Lastly, listen to Korean fairy tales on Youtube. Not only are they interesting, but they put Korean subtitles as well! So, after each sentence, pause the video, read the sentence, and repeat what the narrator said (You can also do this with Korean dramas). Learning Korean is going to be like a roller coaster but you can do it! Enjoy the process and don’t get discouraged. Don’t give up! You’re going to need confidence in yourself, and you’re going to need to be okay with making LOTS of mistakes, speaking awkwardly, forgetting vocabulary, and MORE. If you find yourself becoming discouraged because other learners are doing very good and you feek behind, don’t watch their videos and try to only watch videos of native speakers teaching Korean and giving tips. ^-^ Good luck and I hope this helps!
