Use the forest app to keep you off your phone, your phone is a distractions you face when studying
Try making a to-do list to plan out how much time you take to do each task so you keep track of time
Set rewards i.e. if I finish this task at 9am instead of 9.30am, I’ll watch my favourite tv show for 1 hour instead of 30mins.
How to be disciplined
I guess this is pretty much like a habit. So try to maybe start small, i.e. study 10 mins each day and gradually increase the time limit if you feel comfortable doing so. The reason I chose 10 mins is because it seems like a very short period of time so it’s easier for you to get to work.
How to manage studies with social media
Always set a time period for your school work. For example, after 30 minutes of browsing through your social media, force yourself to do a piece of school work. That way, you will still get work done instead of browsing through your social media all day long.
If you realise on tumblr, I don’t come up with an original post every day and I tend to reblog my old post or queue others posts so don’t stress too much on coming up with a post. For instagram, you could try to take pictures all during the weekend, so you don’t have to stress taking them after school, etc. But it is important to always put studies first before your social media.
Consider switching off your phone or even deleting your social media apps or deactivating them during exams period if they are really getting in the way of your studies.

Simplified version of Dopamine’s dose-dependent MAJOR effects:
low doses - activates D1 receptors (Gs) - vasodilates renal blood vessels*
med.doses - activates B1 receptors (Gs) - increases heart rate/contractility etc..
high doses - activates A1 (Gq) - vasoconstricts,

Quinolones
bind to bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV after DNA strand breakage

Fluoroquinolone is particularly useful against
Gram +ves: Staphylococcus aureus, streptococci

many applications e.g. UTIs, prostatitis, gastroenteritis, STIs
Adverse effects
Relatively well tolerated
GI upset in ~ 5% of patients

Macrolides
in 1952: Erythromycin was isolated as the first macrolide (Streptomyces erythreus)
Newer macrolides: clarithromycin, azithromycin
Structurally they consist of a lactone ring (14- to 16-membered) + two attached deoxy sugars
Mode of action
bind reversibly to bacterial 50S ribosomal subunit
causes growing peptide chain to dissociate from ribosome → inhibiting protein synthesis

Macrolides’ spectrum of activity
good antistaphylococcal and antistreptococcal activity

There are more than 300 species of Bacillus, which is a whole whopping load of microbes. Just to wrap your head around that number, if you talked about each one for 1 minute you’d be talking nonstop for 5 hours! Take that TedTalks!
Starting with the basics, these organisms found all over the world, predominantly in soil but microbes go where they please, so they have been found in undersea hydrothermal vents as well as in the stratosphere. They are rod-shaped and form spores.
Just to list a few of the most noteworthy and awesome Bacillus species:
Abyssalis: found more than a mile and a half down at the bottom of the South China Sea.
Anthracis: causative agent of Anthrax, the disease, not the band; death, disease, toxins, yahoo!
Azotofixans: fixes nitrogen.
Canaveralius: StarFleet Academy space bacteria living on the walls of the Kennedy Space Center!
Cereus: you get to play with this in General Microbiology, a pathogen causing foodborne illness.
Decolorationis: for you art history majors, isolated from decaying parts of a mural in the Roman necropolis in Carmona, Spain.
Megaterium: it can consume cave paintings.
Stratosphericus: found in high concentrations orbiting the Earth with satellites around 6 miles up!
Subtilis: the grass bacillus; used for industrial enzyme secretion.
Thuringiensis: absolutely famous for producing the BT toxin used as a natural insecticide.
Bacillus cells are Gram positive rods that measures about 1 micron wide by 4 to 10 microns long, but with more than 300 species you will see a range of sizes.
