Painting Silco in process
Me: I need a library card, but I just moved so I don’t have an ID with my address or any mail with it.
Librarian: -slides me a blank library postcard- Write your address on this like it would be mailed to you.
Me: Sure?
Librarian: -takes it back- Great! Now we have mail with your address on it!
Me: …does it really work that way?
Librarian: the rules don’t say it DOESN’T work that way. Here’s your new library card!
in another life, i would’ve really liked just doing laundry and taxes with you

i haven't been very active here, so i'm gonna try to upload all my recent works to fix that! i'm currently in my jayvik era so i have a lot of them to share
One thing I could never understand about parents is how you could associate your child's worth with their exam scores. You're supposed to be their safe place, the people they run to when they need help, and yet you make them feel unworthy of your love because they fail to meet your expectations. You've taught them that they're only worthy of affection and appreciation when they obtain good scores or achieve something. Do you have any idea what it does to them? The fear of disappointing, being scolded, compared, and punished eats away at their mind 24/7. They think about the consequences they'd face if they failed. How could you make your own child hate themselves? How could you only be proud of them when they're winning and not when they've lost, even though they tried their best?

That's the thing about people who haven't been loved much..They think about every kind gesture, a slightest touch of fingers, kind smiles, random acts of love, intimacy in every small thing done. They find that love wherever they can cause it was never given to them freely. They don't ask for love, they search for it everywhere.
made dinner for my family today. they said it was good but the garlic flavor was too strong. learned today that i am a garlic freak
i think a sweet treat & a hug could've saved him
God I love how Donna and Ten at the start of Unicorn and the Wasp are like “1920′s party! HELL YEAH” and then they spend 99% of the time just gossiping with each other instead of, like, interacting
They say love is salvation.
I disagree.
Love is judgment.
It sees into the corners of your soul you thought were safely hidden.
It forces you to confront not only who you are, but who you could have been.
And in that confrontation, something breaks and something is born.
So in English class we had to draw a scene from The Great Gatsby. After the drawings were done the teacher was showing them to the class, and one drawing was a pic of Gatsby reaching towards at the green light, but in the drawing Gatsby didn’t have hands. So my teacher starts saying something like how this picture has hidden meaning and portrays the helplessness Gatsby feels, and the kid next to me just casually says “I can’t draw hands.”
sorry for the low quality :’)
