Sonically, Caramel is incredible (I'm a sucker for music boxes in songs, lol), but lyrically, it's devastatingly personal. I think this is their most straightforward song, with not much room for interpretation. It's not as riddled with cryptic metaphors.

And yet, I feel like the message will not reach those it's really aimed at. People are already coming up with excuses when the man so clearly said, "Leave me alone!"

I hate how harassment is so normalised with the excuse of "that's the price of fame."

Like the man is scared to open his damn door because he's constantly doxed because people can't respect basic boundaries.

He's clearly been through shit and people think it's funny to yell out his real name, DURING a song about attempted suicide. Why would you do that?

I wish a lot of people who call themselves fans of anyone in general finally learned some basic respect! These people are not puppets just there for our entertainment.

The song is incredibly ironic when you look at all that happened with the riddles leading up to the release.

And yet it's incredible how Vessel STILL invites us to sing with him, despite everything.

One of the lines that caught my eye in Emergence was "So tell me what you meant by 'living past your half life'?" In chemistry, a "half life" is the time it takes for a substance to decay to half of its original mass.

Further, half lives are also prominent in physics, specifically, nuclear physics. It has the same definition—amount of time taken for a nuclei to half itself—but is, as its name suggests, focused on how much useful energy is produced via the decomposition.

This also links in with the later lyrics of "space dust for your fuel rods." Fuel rods are used in the control of a nuclear decay reaction within a nuclear power plant. This could be interpreted as either Vessel's lack of autonomy, or Sleep losing dominion.

If it's anything to note, "space dust" can also be radioactive.

So, with this all in mind, living past a half life is, in its basics, working towards rot. Existing as a dead man walking and overtly aware that you are.

To me, this could be in reference to Sleep. It's been emphasised that, while Sleep is one of the oldest Gods, He is a forgotten one; kept alive by rituals and those who are beckoned by song to follow Him. Aka, kept alive and powerful by Vessel.

Sleep has long since lived past His so called "half life," and, in toe, He is, therefore "well versed in the afterlife."

While I don't think it works as well, mainly because I consider the majority of this song to be Vessel having a go at Sleep, instead of vice versa, this could be applied to Vessel as a mouthpiece, too, posing the question of; how long until your humanity disapears? How long does it take until you pass your half life, and begin to speak and see only that which bloodless and broken creatures do?

How long until you aren't even you anymore?

And, when that change happens, which it will, eventually, will you emerge and become "someone new," or stay as you were?

Vessel and II looked at every genre and took that as a challenge

Sneak peak at my Julian Devorak fanfic.

As mentioned a couple posts back I'm working on a 'The Arcana' fanfic with Julian and the MC/your character, who is something like a vampire in this au.

Here is just a little look at one scene (which i'm initially writing it out in Google Docs on my computer cause I prefer it like that), the word count (which I get from Wattpad, though i will not be posting the story on there, I just have what i've written sf transferred over into a file there to see the word count lol), and how many pages i've got of the writing according to my Google Docs.

I've technically written and posted fanfic before, but, of the one that got posted, they never got finished and were, by me, eventually taken down when I revisited it a year later. BUT, this one will absolutely be posted on here and AO3 (curse pls spare me or at least give me the bare minimum) cause god damn it I wanna start getting my writing out there for once even if it's with a self indulgent fanfic first.

Anyways, hopefully SOME ppl with an equal love for TA, Julian, and vampires find this and are intrigued.

Thought it was very important to share that i had my first canon event of crying in the shower while singing along to/listening to a/some song(s) the other night and it was to the newest Sleep Token songs. (Caramel and Damocles)

The fact that it was Sleep Token I first cried to singing in the shower feels very special and is certainly something i will never forget.

Gods, I love this band sm it hurts. 😭

A bunch of silly little edit I’ve made and posted on Pinterest I thought I’d share here as well. I also have some Obey Me! ones I’m gonna post after this.

Something quick I made bc the second I saw that on Pinterest I immediately thought of the fic I’m writing. Which I might post on here and possibly AO3 because I need to get over my fear of the curse. /gen

Anyways, the fic is very self indulgent, but I’ll edit it so it’s not strictly about my specific character. That version I’ll have for myself.

Also, I would post TA related things in certain community’s relating to it, but since I’ve started the game a little over a year ago now, I’ve been trying my absolute darnest to avoid spoilers like the plague 🫠(Pun very intended). This is mostly because, well I don’t wanna be spoiled, but in more detail, I’ve been spoiled so much before when say, making a board for something on Pinterest or simply liking tiktoks of it. So uhm, yeah no sir, I’m not letting that happen with TA. I am getting the full experience, even if it results in me loosing my mind when I see it mentioned out in the wild as if it’s some niche thing when it rlly isn’t and indeed has a fandom.

So until I either finish the game or give in, simply posting them under their appropriate hashtags will have to suffice.

First post of my art on here, and it’s featuring me and my stupid, evil child Rixzen/Rex.

Wont go too in-depth with his lore, considering how silly this drawing is and doesn’t perfectly reflect him as a character, but I will say the basics.

Rixzen is his deity name, Rex is his human incarnation of his deity self. He’s basically the embodiment of human evil/sin. She has no exact gender, but mostly presents male as a human. (Ig you could say intersex as well.)

As Rex, her human self, he’s a mix between a Gladiator and a Jester, which they are known as ‘The Jester Demon’ for it.

That’s about it for know, but I am 100% willing to share more about this menace in the future.
