If you think “cishet invaders pretending to be LGBT” is a real problem that justifies discouraging people from reaching out to their local LGBTQ+ communities, we can’t be friends.

anyway, the idea of “the one” is so innacurate and outdated. there are literally so many people that you could be compatible and share a really strong emotional connection and healthy relationship with. like if you think about it... even in platonic terms, friendship. how many best friends have you had throughout your life? your childhood best friend? high school best friend? college best friend? these were all people you were very in tune with emotionally and shared a meaningful relationship with. did they not understand you? did they not see you for who you were? did they not love you unconditionally? and you did the same. in a world w 8 billion people, one person was not the end all be all. remember that if a relationship dissolved it was for a reason; it wasn’t meant for you. there are plenty of people with whom you can form bonds with. who are willing to meet you where you are, and do what is necessary to earn a place in your life through consistent effort and actions. the “one” doesn’t exist, and they’re not out there for you to find.

shout out to my fellow aromantics! especially anyone who has ever felt guilty about not reciprocating someone’s feelings! here’s your reminder that:

you don’t owe someone a relationship no matter how kind they, are or how much they like you

you aren’t broken or missing any pieces

there are so many beautiful types of love in the world; the way you love is just important as anyone else’s

i love you (platonically)!

[ID: The Scooby Doo ghost meme. In the first panel, Fred looks at a ghost, labelled “"aces and aros don’t need to be included in anti-discrimination whose intent is to prohibit discrimination on the basis of orientation"”, and says “Okay gang, let’s see who the ghost really is.“ In the second panel, Fred pulls off the mask and looks at a man labelled “"I think it should be legal to discriminate against someone for being asexual or aromantic"”. End ID]

Think that discriminating against someone for being ace or aro should be illegal? The Inclusive Equality Act Coalition is trying to make sure that’s the case.

I’m tired of being nice. either you will use my correct pronouns or you will die by my sword.

Neopronouns are not a “tumblr fad”. Gender neutral pronouns other than they/them have existed in the English language for actual centuries. They are not harmful to the trans community.

To those who are against neopronouns, you’re acting against the evolution of a language and acting against something that’s been around for far longer than you’ve been alive.

To those who use neopronouns, your pronouns are not harmful. You do not deserve to be made to feel ashamed for your pronouns.

clenches fist. neopronouns are so fucking cool.

I used to be really against neopronouns and felt it was a "making trans people look bad" but like now I realize it really doesnt matter. Let people express themselves how they want and use whatever pronouns they want.

Hello, welcome to my blog. It doesn't have a specific theme but it is mainly queer centered. This is a safe place for everyone inside the queer community including asexuals and aromantics.

Read my DNI, as I don't want anything to do with exclusionists and everyone else listed in the post.

About Me

Hi, I'm Ace or Kaito- whatever you prefer! I use it/its and star/stars/starself. If you *absolutely* can't use those, just use they/them or he/him. (Otherwise I will ask you to call me either 'it' or 'star'.)

Examples of those are:

It went to the clothing store and it really enjoyed the wide selection there.

Star went to the clothing store and star really enjoyed the wide selection there.

I am fluidflux, it is similar to genderfluid where my gender may change frequently-except the intensity of the gender changes as well.

For example:

One day I am perfectly fine as a bigender but then it may shift into a demi-gender or I may be completely agender for a bit.

I'm not neurotypical, I have ADHD and MADD (Maldaptive Daydreaming, which is a dissociative disorder.)

Gender can be an extremely confusing thing for me because of the way my brain operates so I may associate with some MOGAI genders to cope. If you don't support MOGAI, kindly get off my page and block me while you are at it! :)

People Will Scream Socialism The Second Someone Proposes Better And Cheaper Healthcare. They'll Think

People will scream socialism the second someone proposes better and cheaper healthcare. They'll think that somehow black people being lifted up out of their oppression means less rights for themselves. Most left policies are about basic human rights and I can't believe some people aren't okay with that.

I’d like to anonymously coin the term Hydrangeaflux, it’s definition is: Having multiple masculine, masculine aligned, and or nonaligned genders all at once but how prevalent each one is fluctuates! I also made a flag for it! Which I'll submit in a second but if you have any suggestions about changes to make to it (especially if it looks too much like another flag!) that's cool ^w^

how will asexuals enrich the lgbt community with their inclusion?

image

Okay, so let’s get this through your thick, exclusionist skull. (I’ll use small words)

How does anyone “enrich” the LGBT+ community?

Enrich, according to the dictionary, means a number of things.

1. to supply with riches, wealth, abundant or valuable possessions, etc.

In this way we bring the same thing you do: Some of us are able to donate money and resources to things like the Trevor Project or our local LGBT+ offices and their outreach programs.

2. to supply with abundance of anything desirable, such as knowledge.

Hi! I collect lists of websites and books and groups that portray and/or teach about different LGBT+ identities so that I can give them out to people who have questions. There are a number of us (asexual, aromantic, and agender individuals) who do similar things in order to enrich our communities.

3. to add greater value or significance to.

More voices = louder communal voice. You want people to listen to you about issues and struggles that our community faces? You’re gonna need more voices.

4. to adorn or decorate.

There are a good number of us who are artists. We design your posters and t-shirts and murals. We don’t just create art for our own identity, but yours, too.

5. to make finer in quality, as by supplying desirable elements or ingredients.

Every person has something good in them that they can bring to the table. By denying a whole group of people, you are denying their ideas and their resources and their personalities. You are denying all desirable elements that could build your community.

Now, this is slightly off-topic but it connects: The rest of the LGBT+ community (including you aphobes) talk a lot about how being gay isn’t just about sex… And yet you exclude us because some of us don’t like sex.

Kinda seems like you’re just shooting yourself in the foot there…

Living for all this tea! Anyway; exclusionist culture is gaslighting and threatening aces/aros (and to a lesser extent, their allies) in order to "prove" that aces and aros are the Bad Guys for fighting back.

Exclusionist Culture Is...

claiming that ONLY “cishet” aces aren’t LGBT, but then getting pissy when gay and trans aces so much as even MENTION the concept of asexuality or their ace identity while in an LGBT+ space
