yaboy-robin - Boy Blunder

Two sketches I didn't feel like lining/coloring that I did while thinking about very minor characters I never talk about,

Helvetica having a "who broke it" moment. (His mug says: "Drink Coffee: Do Stupid Things Faster with More Energy".)

Tutorial smokes. Both tobacco and weed, though mostly tobacco. His tail wags automatically when he's very high. The broken heart cloud is cause I'm thinking Tutorial was betrayed and abandoned before he was given his role in the Land of Legends, which has worsened his descent into not trusting others and refusing to get close to anyone.

"You smoke?"

Tommy looked over at Schlatt. He was shaking a cigarette out of a pack and into his hand. Where he'd gotten it, Tommy didn't know. It was the afterlife; he didn't expect drugs to be in the afterlife.

"Fuckin'... no, I don't smoke," He huffed back, "What do you fuckin'..."

Schlatt shrugged, brought the cigarette to his lips, produced a lighter, and lit up. "Your loss."

Wilbur had warned Tommy that occasionally they'd fade in and out. The afterlife wasn't a concrete plane to be in, he'd said, so Tommy should prepare for him to pop in and out occasionally.

Tommy had thought he was ready. He was not.

He'd clung to the man ever since he'd died. He was the only person he had left who cared. At least, the only person he had left who cared and he could still talk to. And even if Wilbur was only going to be gone for a little bit (though time worked so strangely here, who really knew?), Tommy wasn't ready for that separation.

And he sure as hell wasn't ready to be left alone with Jschlatt.

He didn't like kids, that much was obvious. Or anyone, really.

Apparently he and Wilbur had talked quite a bit before Tommy's arrival, which Tommy couldn't blame him for; Wilbur had to talk to somebody, and until now the afterlife didn't have any options except for the previous tyrant. But the moment Schlatt had seen Tommy, palpable disgust had formed on his face and he had fled the scene.

That was fine by Tommy. He didn't like Tommy, and Tommy didn't like him.

But now that Wilbur was gone for a while, being around Schlatt was better than being alone.

Schlatt coughed after a drag. Tommy eyed him uneasily.

Schlatt didn't have scars, Tommy was noticing. Wilbur did. He had a big ugly one in his chest from where Phil had stabbed him, gaping and hard to ignore. Schlatt, having not died to something so physical, had no such thing. But his eyes looked vacant, tired, and bloodshot, and drool seemed to constantly drip down his chin. Disgusting motherfucker, Tommy thought.

It did get him thinking, though. He hadn't seen himself once since his death. When he'd asked Wilbur about his gash, Wilbur had confessed that all the injuries they'd received subsequent to their death would probably remain and hurt forever. Tommy himself had aches all over his body; Dream had done a number on him. He was left with a head that pounded almost constantly and a body that throbbed with every movement.

He wondered how he looked.

He cleared his throat and called, "Oi, bitch."

Schlatt looked to him, unimpressed. "Hm?"

"Ey, uh... so we're all a bit ghost-y now, yeah?"

"Sure."

"You gots your little... red... devil horns, 'n Wilbur's got his scar..." Tommy crossed his arms, "... What do I look like?"

Schlatt took pause, pulling the cigarette from his mouth. His lips fell to a frown as he scanned Tommy up and down, his eyes filling up with something that was almost, almost pity. Tommy's stomach sank; that didn't bode well.

Schlatt tore his eyes away from him and shook his head, gaze cast down.

Tommy swallowed nervously. "Well?"

The only thing Schlatt said after a long pause was, "Stay away from mirrors, kid."

Smoking, Azazel pulled his cigarette from his mouth, glancing out toward the drive-in as something started to happen, he scrunched his nose, “Well, things could be worse… I guess.” He muttered with a stream of smoke drifting out from between his lips, with little enthusiasm in his voice. After a moment, he blew out the rest of the smoke trapped in his lungs, turning away. Then dropped the cigarette, flicking it toward the ground, staring down at it as he stomped on it. Just at relatively the same moment, someone bumped into him, making him stumble a bit. The next moment, gaining his balance once more, he turned to face who it was as they spoke.

Staring at their hair a moment, then looked to her face, “I'm fine--” Though, he stopped himself from saying more as she spoke on, “Well, if you're any good at Frogger, the streets might be one of the safer places.” He suggests. Before waving out his left arm, staring after her from behind his sunglasses. Then turned his head, looking over at the masked men, and their dogs. No extreme reaction on his face or in his actions to what was going on at the drive-in, because he really couldn't be bothered to care much about it, it had nothing to do with him, “You first?” He offered, not really sounding like he was in any rush to get out of there. Perhaps he was just being too confident.

Cassandra couldn't have devised a better excuse to wander the strip freely if she tried, beyond thrilled for the evening crowds to get lost in during her clandestine evenings out that weekend. But even despite the comfort she found in the surging throngs of people spilling out of fluorescent establishments, she still donned her usual disguise, the blonde wig firmly in place, lest she run into any of her family's associates during the festivities. The last thing she needed was any of her father's lackies reporting back on her whereabouts and movements, which would no doubt prompt a barrage of questions she would rather not answer. So you can wander around Vegas at all hours, but you can't be bothered to leave your apartment during the day? Instead, she opted for anonymity, anything to find some answers. But it seemed that she had underestimated the reach of the Weiss family. Her eyes catching on the commotion brewing over at the drive-in across the street, of vaguely familiar figures clad in dark clothes and masks (accompanied by dogs that would surely pick up her scent), Cassie swiftly turned on her heel towards the opposite direction. But not before she collided with an unsuspecting person on the sidewalk. "Shit, are you okay?" she blurted, shooting a paranoid glance over her shoulder towards the masked guards, hoping to get out of the area as soon as possible. "We should probably get out of the street, yeah?" Anything to keep from being recognized.

Lighting up a cigarette, Azazel takes a few puffs from it as he lets the end burn for a moment in the flame before cutting the flame off and tucking the lighter back into a pocket. He was currently standing outside the gas station, not a fan of driving, he usually walked around wherever he went. Which he wasn't much of a fan of that either, here lately.

Taking a long drag off his cigarette before he casually moved his hand away to adjust his sunglasses, hiding as much as he could, the dark circles that currently made him look like he hadn't slept in a century or more. Exhaling as he toyed with his glasses, smoke loomed over his head. Securing them more onto his face as he scanned the area. He had no real destination, he didn't even like being out like this, in the open. But it was the middle of the day, so he figured that the worst that could happen at this time was-- Okay, well, a lot of things, yes.

But he imagined that most of those things he'd manage to survive long enough to get home before night hit. But even then, he didn't think he was safe. His breathing picked up for a moment, and he had to calm down. Closing his eyes, he told himself it was all just in his head, and he was overreacting to his own imagination. Yes. That was all it was. Or all he wanted to believe.

Checking his watch, he started to walk away from the gas station, only to get a cold chill up his spine. Turning, he looked around, not seeing anyone even looking at him. Though, a few people were walking to or from their cars. Maybe he should start driving again, it was too nerve-racking to be out in the open like this. Even still, he couldn't help but to feel like someone was watching him. But he felt like that a lot lately.

If there was one thing Zahra excelled at, it was listening. Sure, her neutral expression could make her seem indifferent or not all that engaged, but she truly did listen, intently and without the need to interrupt. "You're good. Don't worry about it," she assured. It was clear they were going through something and she didn't want to pry. She would've hated it if she had been in their position. "I hope you find what you're looking for. That feeling of home." She had always been good at adapting to her surroundings and finding little things that made her feel like a part of something bigger than herself but that didn't necessarily mean she knew what made a place feel like a home. Still, New York City had treated her well and now that she was back, she couldn't imagine leaving any time soon.

"We're here," she announced once they reached their destination. "I think it's more of an Irish place, but certainly closer to a British pub than the last place. Good beer, too."

If There Was One Thing Zahra Excelled At, It Was Listening. Sure, Her Neutral Expression Could Make Her

Theo blew smoke away from her after sucking in some from their cig, listening to her carefully, their eyes trained on her as she talked. "Home can be a lot of things. Not necessarily a place. Something or someone you want to come back to. That can be a house, your family, a significant other." They shrugged as they explained. "For me, it would be a person but right now, I don't feel like I have a home to go back to." Theo paused for a moment before they let out a chuckle. "Shit, sorry, that got too deep. Anyway, I'm here for work and yeah, I don't particularly like it, honestly."

They took another drag from their cigarette as they walked next to her, their other hand slipping inside the pocket of their jeans, looking around the city around them that people seem to fall in love with so quickly. They weren't that impressed by it.

"Not really. They had the best program and I got in. Made sense," she answered, flicking the ashes from her cigarette, "and I had already moved to North Carolina before that. Equally far from Minnesota. Although I guess Durham wasn't as wild as New York City." She shrugged at their question, carefully considering her answer. "I don't know. I guess it depends on what you mean by home. It's been, what, sixteen years since I've lived in the Midwest." She studied them for a moment, full brows knitted together. "You don't seem to be the biggest fan of the city. What brought you here?"

"Not Really. They Had The Best Program And I Got In. Made Sense," She Answered, Flicking The Ashes From

"Only if you don't share." Theo gave the other a playful smirk as they both walked in tandem through New York. "You came all the way here for uni then? That's bold." They said as they offered to lit her cigarette and then lit their own, making them stop walking for a moment. "What does feel more like home, here or your hometown?"

They both resumed their walk soon after their cigs were lit. It was a nice night in New York. Theo wasn't used to that type of heat yet but they didn't mind it all that much. They'll mind it less when they get that cold beer.

Zahra couldn't count the amount of times she had been chastised for being too direct or straightforward, but she honestly could not understand why it was such a problem. She had just saved herself precious time and energy by deciding they would leave at that very moment and head elsewhere. Somewhere with better beer, no doubt.

"No. Midwestern. Went to university here, though." Explaining she had done her doctorate in the city sounded awfully pretentious and she didn't care to discuss the subject in the slightest. She reached into her pocket for her cigarettes, holding one up in the air. "You mind if I smoke?"

Zahra Couldn't Count The Amount Of Times She Had Been Chastised For Being Too Direct Or Straightforward,

Theo was pleasantly surprised that the other took their offer so quickly so they flagged the bartender, pulling out their phone to pay for both their drinks and jumped down from their stool. "Lead the way, love." They followed after the brunette out onto the New York streets they are still so unfamiliar with. Manchester is far from a small town but nothing compares to this, not even close.

"Are you a proper New Yorker, then?" they asked, curious.

not knowing what else to do, nolan sat in the sand. they scooped some into the bucket, methodically making sure it was wet enough that it would stand tall once he flipped it over. the cigarette he had lit rested between his lips as he worked. the movements were so easy, something he'd done a thousand times as a child, that he needn't think at all about it and yet, it still kept his mind from all that had been troubling him. once he turned it over and pulled the bucket off, however, the sand slipped down, so what was left was just a simple mound of wet sand rather than a castle. "fuck." he took a deep drag from the cigarette and blew it out as he allowed himself to fall back to lay flat on the beach. when he opened his eyes, he noticed a figure in his peripheral. he turned his head to look at them. Cooper Elias Hawkins was born on October 31st back in 1984 to two loving and hardworking parents named Thomas and Heather (nee’ Cooke) Hawkins. The Hawkins clan was very well known and well liked in their town of Southport, North Carolina which is where they resided and where Cooper had grown up. Thomas & Heather are very successful owners of a diner that’s family owned. It’s beloved in their town. It was a small town and one of the hot spots for tourists to always go to.

Ryan Hawkins was the first of the Hawkins clan, then Ethan, then Annie, then Cooper and finally the baby Megan whom they all called Meg. Growing up Cooper idolized his older siblings, his brothers were his best friends and his sister Annie was someone whom he admired and aspired to be like. Meg was someone Cooper always took care of and adored and wished to protect with everything he had. He made a promise to himself to always watch out for Meg. The Hawkins siblings were well known and well liked by the town and could do no wrong.

They were one big happy family. They were fun and successful and everyone loved them. That was until one 4th of July Annie and Cooper had decided to take their family boat out onto the water alone, without their parents permission. Thomas and Heather were too busy at the diner to notice they were gone. He was eleven at the time and Annie was a little bit older. They drove it illegally, neither of them having a boating license but Annie really wanted to go and she always had a way of making Cooper follow in her footsteps. So he did, because all he cared about at the time was if Annie was happy.

They were having a good time and being safe until Annie decided to jump into the water after Cooper had told her and begged her not too. It was a while until Cooper had realized she hadn’t come up from the water. Panicked and scared, Cooper illegally drove the boat back to shore for some help. Once reaching his parents & some cops, they ruled it as a drowning accident. This nearly destroyed not only the family but the town. They always said that Annie held the family together and her death tore it apart.

His father was furious and devastated and wrongfully accused & blamed Cooper for Annie’s death even though he knew it wasn’t his fault. Growing up for Cooper wasn’t easy anymore. He wasn’t the happy go lucky kid he used to be. His father mentally, and sometimes would physically and emotionally abuse him . It went on for years, and his two older brothers followed in their fathers footsteps. Cooper closed himself off and didn’t talk to them until he actually needed too. The only ones who truly cared about him and were worried about his well being was his mother & his little sister Meg. He was thankful for them even if he didn’t show it often.

He kept to himself and got into reading and writing. Cooper found that he hid himself away in his room, and only had a couple of friends. He felt exiled in his own family and in his own town. Excelling in school Cooper kept his grade average high, he graduated high school with honors and had decided to move as far away from Southport as possible to get a fresh start. Choosing the city that never sleeps, Cooper was accepted into almost every New York City College but ended up choosing Brooklyn College. He majored in Criminal Justice, and minored in Florescence Science.

However that wasn’t what he wanted to do in life. After graduating college with honors again, he decided to go into the academy and become a police officer. A couple years of being a cop, he took the detectives exam and has been in the homicide unit ever since. He was in Brooklyn for a really long time, up until he fell in love with his partner who also happened to be his best friend which was rare for Cooper. Though he wouldn’t of wanted it any other way. It wasn’t good being together while being on the job, and they hid their relationship as best as they could. Though their Sargent soon found out, it placed a toll and a strain on their relationship. A beautiful blossoming one ended and it crushed him. The man had a ring and was ready to settle down and start a life with her. Though after the brake up, Cooper had decided to transfer to move to another state so that this way, he can officially start over once again. Another place where no one knew him. A place where no one knew his story or what had happened to him and his family as child. Or what had happened to him within his young, adulthood life. The one spot he chose was Los Angles, California.

He essentially transferred so that his ex girlfriend, the love of his life, Noora Freeman wouldn’t have too. Cooper was trying to not only protect her but protect her career as well. Their brake up was unexpected for him and it took him a while to get used to living here by himself. However Cooper realized that this is where he was meant to be, that this is where he was the happiest.

Though the death of his sister that still haunts him, Cooper has finally found peace within Los Angles. Sometimes when he can not sleep at night, he’ll sit out on his front porch and smoke cigars to make himself feel more at ease or write in a journal to Annie to make him feel at peace. Though he’s happy, he’s happy in Los Angles. A new state and a new town where no one knows who he is, where no one knew what he had to go through in order to get here.

Just Because You Said The Magic Word Anon~✨

-2p China-

You first caught Xiaos attention by giving a speech at one of the meetings that he rarely ever attended.

But this time he was glad he went to the stupid meeting. Just to see your eyes flare with passion and with such purpose that the drugs in his system couldn't even block it out.

It felt like the first time he tried drugs, the feeling of losing yourself under its control, though it dulled over time the more he took it which led him to looking for more harder drugs, which too, dulled over time.

But you, you had awoken that feeling of it back inside of him which he thought he had lost long ago.

It was something he couldn't lose, he had to must get more of it.

Just like if you give a racoon food,

it's going to come back for more.

Just Because You Said The Magic Word Anon~✨

~2p Russia~

You first met the intimating Russian was when your two countries were doing a public announcement that the two of you had to attend.

Something about having y'all be side by side while your bosses sign papers was to show how close y'all were supposed to be.

Politics politics politics...

He had been through these type of meetings before with many different countries, it wasn't that important to him, still, it was majorly just to look nice and pretty for everyone to see.

Making a few adjustments to his outfit outside the doors waiting for you, (even pondering if you were even going to show up once) but when he saw you in your best outfit walking to see him, all his thoughts vanished.

Something about you had made him stop momentarily before he regained himself (though with his resting bitch face it was hard to tell on your part) to properly greet You.

He had a habit of judging people when he first met them, seeing if they were worth his time to talk too, but when he looked at you he couldn't tell what made you so special to him. It almost scared him.

maybe this meeting wasn't going to be as dreedful as he had thought.

~2p France~

Let's just say when you first met the Louise, it wasn't in the most ideal place.

Not behind a Building smoking a cigarette, trying to calm your nerves before a meeting.

When you threw open the back door and hitting a certain Frenchman causing him to drop his own cigarette, you knew you were screwed.

When you were about to get cursed out in French you quickly apologized even going as far to try to not get even more beat up as you thought you were, by trying to say sorry in French.

He just kept staring down at you with a blank exspression as you quickly excused yourself to go to the meeting. You felt like you were going to accend when he walked into the meeting and sat right next to you, just your luck.

Afterwards you went back behind the building (making sure to not hit anymore) to see that you were alone, much to your relief. It wasn't until your back got smacked by the door did someone join you saying "Thats payback for earlier.."

Softly you chuckled and offered him a cigarette saying "Even?" Which he let a sign out but took one.

As the two of you just sat in the ally in silence when he casually looked over at you, feeling a tiny bit irritated that you were still nice to him even after he purposefully smacked the door with you and even went as far to offer him a cigarette.

it confused him to find a genuinely nice person.

And as you went back inside, leaving him, he couldn't help but feel like he wanted it for himself...

and only for himself.

oooohhhhh boy did you mess up-

So stupid for you to procrastinate on delivering papers, now you gotta act like a delivery boy today, running around with a stack of papers and putting them in their correct place.

Didn't make things better when you ran straight into someone, causing all your papers to fly

e v e r w h e r e

Not even adding onto the fact that the dish of cookies that the brightly colored Brit was carrying got frosting and crumbs all over them.

Just your luck...

Trying to hastily gather all your papers and try to get the icing off some of them(more like smudge it into the papers more), you didnt notice how the Brit was so close to you before you looked up, staring right into his colorful eyes.

"You have a bit of frosting on your cheek poppet!" Wiping it away with his hand.

The odd gesture left you feeling a bit touched but you couldn't stall, you still had to get the papers delivered.

Excusing yourself you quickly got up and continued on your way, making it a point to repay him later and to be more mindful of who's around the corner.

Oliver continued to stare at you as you left, the feeling of Butterfly's in his stomach being replaced with a stinging pain with seeing you disappear behind a corner.

He made it a point to see you again,

he just had to.

Just Because You Said The Magic Word Anon~✨

~2p America~

You had decided to go to one of the local bars to celebrate your countries Independence Day.

The whole city was booming with fireworks, dancing, and of course, drinking.

It was a day that you looked forward to for the whole year, a day filled with joy and being proud of what you represented.

It felt nice to unwind for day (since it was a national holiday your boss let you have the day off), you sorta lost yourself when you started dancing to the music that was blasting in the streets, merging in with all the drunks as fireworks lit up the sky.

What happened next happened so quickly that it took your drunken mind a minute to process.

You had tripped over yourself bumping into a stranger, and if it hadn't been for them catching you, you would have hit the hard pavement of the road.

"I've seen you've fallen for me, dollface!"

Was all the stranger said with looking at your confused and drunken face. All you could do then was just burst out laughing as the two of you started dancing together.

It was then that Allen knew he had fallen for you, your laugh. It was like nothing he had ever heard before, and it was the only thing he wanted to hear!

He only wanted to see you happy from that day onwards.

He would do anything to just see you smile and laugh.

~~~
✨hope you like it anon!
Richie smiled up at his friend and reached up to grab the cigarette, taking a drag from his mouth before reaching back up and putting it back in hers. This was reminiscent of all the nights they’d had growing up, the ones where they couldn’t help but be together for. The days where they skipped school and smoked in the janitor’s closets, the early mornings where they would get together after a bad night and smoke until the sun came up. As much as he hated Derry, it had given him 6 wonderful things and Bev was absolutely one of them. And truth be told, he needed this here in Ivywood. Her words brought him back and he rolled his eyes. “Oh come on, Beaverly….this is serious.” Which it was. He didn’t get serious a lot, only really with three of the losers, but when he did it was usually important. “I was just thinking about it and I mean…you know we both have fucking shitty pasts and we’re here and we’re stuck and do you…I mean our parents can’t get to us here right?” he asked, curiously. “I mean we all love my dad, good ole Wentworth Tozier can come any day but I mean my mom…and your dad.” Richie could handle his mom showing up if it happened but Bev’s father was a whole different story.
                    if it weren’t for already knowing richie && for the unfortunate circumstance of henry bowers’ knife meeting ben’s skin beverly wasn’t sure she’d have ever been a loser ( well, a loser yes, but not a member of the club ). strange how strong a friendship could become off of bumming a cigarette, a mutual addiction turned into unknowingly needed company. the TRUST between the two young adults splayed out on the bed indescribable. bev’s nightmares had gotten worse — the morphing of her father && the clown now joined by another man. unnamed, but just as horrifying. ‘ no one will love you like me ’  — a constant echo. as expected, with richie those words were easy to push out of her mind, the bright memories of shared ice cream cones && yo-yo tricks at the forefront. his words brought on beverly’s usual smirk. “pretty sure that’s already a question, tozier.” but she caught onto the slight shift — expression solemn as she tilted her chin down to look at him. digits softly tangled in his hair, massaging scalp comfortingly as fresh cigarette dangled from lips. “what’s up ??”
Out of everyone in the loser’s club, it was weird that he was closest with Beverly. Sure, Stan and him had been the closest growing up but things were different. Richie loved Stan, and the same with Mike. He loved them and so in a way they had a piece of his heart. But his closest friend in the group was hands down Beverly Marsh. He would kill for that girl and he always dropped everything whenever she needed him. Including tonight when she had texted him to come over for a smoke. Which led them to laying on her bed, his head in her lap, smoking and just talking. Richie was dramatic and energetic but even he liked these moments. The quiet ones. They had been talking about old things, memories that they’d had, when things had gotten quiet for a moment. “Hey, Bev, can I ask you something?”
“Excuse me.” Immediately came out before Bev could even finish her sentence. “Beverly Marsh, I will have you know that I am the best looking man to ever exist on this earth and that I am not annoying at all. In fact there are a ton of people who would line up to have me and yet I choose to spend my time with you. You should be honored. I take offense to your words. Maybe I need to rethink this reunion.” Richie was the most dramatic person he knew and his friends knew that he blew things out of proportion to make them laugh. He could see the slight bit of confusion in Bev’s brow and he knew what was coming so he figured better to blow it up than have her focus on the bad too much. How would they get through this if they did? It’s what he told the rest of the Losers and he’d be a hypocrite if he let Bev do it too. Once she agreed to the smoke break, he let out a sigh of relief and led her out the back door and into the cool of the night. He let her light hers up and then caught the lighter she threw, lit his and threw it back. He took a long drag as he sat down on the steps and patted the space next to him. “Mike’s the same way too. Something to do with this town. A lot happened in those 27 years and we all went through shit but….we’ll help you remember. Ask away and I will grant you the answers you seek.” He said, using one of his infamous voices. “At least you remember who you are and your childhood. Some people don’t even remember that.”
                    a knowing smirk crossed her lips as gaze went from his hand patting the stair to his gaze. “guess even ‘ the best looking man to ever exist on this earth ’ isn’t opposed to BEGGING for my affections after all.” bev managed to quip, plopping down beside him as she straightened out the soft fabric of her dress. knowing mike had the same issue was both a relief && a dread. so many whys to ask that couldn’t be answered. bev offered up a soft smile of APPRECIATION, even chuckling at his voice ; the familiarity was comforting. “look — i’m just gonna say the thing that you’re not supposed to say && what totally makes me sound like the shittiest person alive but — what if i don’t wanna remember ??” a pause as she took a long drag, letting the smoke slowly billow out into the late winter air before expression softened. “not the bad stuff anyways. i’m glad i remember the good stuff from before now, && i’m sure there’s some good later too,” she added, knowing full well the losers were the good. words trickled off, flicking some of the built up ash from her cigarette. despite what she said, beverly knew she in fact was lucky in a way. even if she knew it wouldn’t be easy to remember certain things from what bill && richie had mentioned so far, she didn’t want to RUN AWAY from it, not really. running had never done her much good. another slow drag && her usual smirk was partially back. “can we maybe just start with you ?? when did you leave derry ?? what’d you do ?? i have a feeling it was GOOD, even if you seem like you’re still kinda an asshole,” smirk easily widening once more.
As soon as he left her arms, he was right back and it felt like home. How many nights had they spent together cuddling under the stars? Strictly platonically of course. How many times had they snuck off together when things were rough? The other loser’s were Richie’s world but having Bev back felt like he was complete again. He kissed the top of her head, dramatically but genuine, and finally pulled away to look at her once more. “Beverly dear, you’re lucky I noticed you at all.” he said and poked her nose teasingly. The entire room felt like it was missing now as his only focus was on his friend. “Do you prefer this version of me or the 40 year old one then because i can’t decide. Although, I will say that missing you guys for 27 years and forgetting was fucking shitty so having us back and being able to grow old with all of you, knowing what we’re capable of in the future? The best fucking luck we ever got.”  Richie knew that them all showing up here was strange and they probably needed to figure it out but he wasn’t in a rush. He just got his friends back, he wasn’t losing that again. Richie took his focus off of the redhead in front of him and went to look around to see if Stan was around before turning back and pulling a pack of Marlboro’s out of his pocket. “What d’ya say? Stan won’t let me but now that you’re here I have a reason to sneak off and smoke. You free now or are you looking for that husband of yours?”
                    it had always been easy to smile around richie yet this time his words caused it to falter. “perhaps both versions are equally annoying, rich.” a forced smirk remained, slowly beginning to warm her eyes once again at the sight of his pack of cigarettes. richie’s choice of words was CONFUSING, but what wasn’t in this new home of theirs ?? “well richie darling, consider yourself lucky. you can jump to first in line out of my long list of suitors.” tone dripped of sarcasm, finding relief in the much needed smoke break. "i won’t tell if you don’t.” she teased with a quick wink as she flashed her own matching pack of Marlboro’s. just like old times. beverly wanted to pretend, desperately wished she’d suddenly recall her future, but she couldn’t. && the more she snuck glances at richie she knew she couldn’t pretend to have either. their nights shared as friends were countless, considering days in their childhood households were more bad than good. the losers managed to get a VULNERABILITY out of her that she swore she’d never show. richie was one of the first of their friends to weasel his way in that heart of hers. “wanna know something funny ??” brow arched, cigarette dangling from lips once they got outside, lighting it up before tossing her lighter his way out of habit. “truth is i don’t really remember.” dry, humorless laugh escaped from her as she shrugged. “apparently i’m still in the remembering childhood phase, like some shitty back to the future movie. guess the world knew i’d be too powerful if i remembered everything,” she tried, but failed, to jest.
