You were currently sitting back on the couch with your feet propped up on the table, waiting for Loki to come in with your movie snack. He’d brought the tradition of Friday movie night with him when he moved out of the Tower and in with you. As he came over holding the bowl of popcorn, you moved the blanket a bit so he had room to sit. Loki rested the bowl of popcorn in your lap, freeing his arm to put around your shoulders. He placed a kiss to your temple as he hit play on the remote.

“What was that for?” you asked with a happy, but bewildered smile.

“Just because you look so adorable sitting there all bundled up, my sweet.”

Loki had been living with you for about a month now, and you’d been dating for almost a year. Still, you weren’t used to the little, unprompted signs of affection he was so keen on giving. The smallest things caused you so much stress. For instance, Loki had casually brought up an inside joke one of the lines in the movie had reminded him of. The joke was funny, sure, but the way he’d grabbed your hand as he said it made your heart beat faster than should be humanly possible. It was so different from what you grew up with, but you didn’t want to worry Loki with your problems. He’d either say you were being stupid like so many other people in your life had, or he’d want to murder anyone who’d ever hurt you. You weren’t sure which was better. That was why you brushed it off anytime he asked why you were so confused.

Mcgonagall, sipping some tea: the black one makes your eyes pop more, but you definitely need a scarf of sorts if you don't want to catch a cold

Sirius: *is crying alone in a hallway*

Mcgonagall: *turns into a cat and curls up on his lap to comfort him*

Y/N: Loki, what are you doing-

Loki: [typing at a quick speed for a God who doesn't use technology, reading it out loud] "She knew of the stories of how he had bed many a woman through the years."

Y/N: Wh-WHAT

Loki: [typing even faster, ignoring your confusion] "She knew there were tons of women around the universe, not just the world. She had resigned to the thought that she had no chance against the girls on their knees for him."

Y/N: I-I-I...

Loki: [taking a glance at you]

Y/N: [looks away]

Loki: [glances back at the screen]

Loki: [typing] "But little did she know, for him, Loki only had eyes for her."

Y/N: [looks up, eyes widening]

Loki: [activates voice typing, turning to face you] And he always had.

Loki: From the moment he graced his eyes on her, the moment he heard her laugh, the moment she smiled, the moment she had stolen his heart.

Loki: And to him, it was love.

Loki: Unlike the way some would describe the feeling, his world didn't slow down.

Loki: It kept on spinning and spinning until the only word on his mind was her name.

Loki: One he would remember.

Loki: One he would mumble in his slumber as he embraced his pillow tighter.

Loki: One he would call out as his body shook with pleasure, brought by his own hands, wishing they were hers.

Loki: One he would like to say with a sigh, with a smile, with a tear of joy in his eye as he made her his forever.

Loki: And that was just the beginning.

Loki: He needed her smile, he needed her touch, but most of all, he needed to hear her say she loved him.

Loki: [cups your cheek as he looks you deep in the eyes]

Loki: And what better moment than now?
