it's always so funny to me when arthur/uther says something like "i don't believe this, it's just a silly tale" when merlin/gaius warns them about some legend because like. my guy. YOU LIVE IN A LAND OF MYTH AND A TIME OF MAGIC.
It just occured to me that Stan technically canonically liked to draw, so here's my take of what Stanley's sketchbook would have looked like had he never gave up on art :]
Stanley first found this sketchbook left behind in a dumpster next to a library. The rings that once held the pages together were broken and warped, so he instead fashioned himself a jury rigged binder by weaveing one of his shoelaces through the holes in the side. In the end, it was essentially just a stack of barely held together paper, but he was still satisfied with it.
Pencils were easy enough to snag from the store since they fit so easily inside his pockets; but he had to settle for the shitty stubby pink erasers that barely did its job on the end of the pencils if he made any mistakes.
Stanley wasn't much of a poetic guy, and he didn't do the kind of art that had deep symbolism or meaning behind them. He was more the kind of artist that just drew what was in front of him, plain and simple. Had he been younger, he might have been able to fill in this cobbled together sketchbook in a matter of days, page after page filled to the brim with creatures and adventures of the wildest dreams.
Well, Stanley wasn't exactly a sprightly young child anymore with a boundless imagination to take inspiration from, but 10 years was a long time to be on the road and moving around, so there was plenty for him to draw.
(My primary goal was just to make these pages look as realistic as possible, but I did add in mini backstories in each of the pages' image description, if you feel like reading that :])
Dragonborns are just really big soul gems
Miraak cultist: Have you heard the words of our lord and saviour Miraak the True Dragonborn?
Local Farmer: Don't suppose I have. What's he say then?
Miraak cultist: No idea. None of us speak dragon or ancient Atmoran. But he seems very passionate about it.
I truly love and adore all the artwork depicting Terzo or any other Papa with a glowing eye.
But I do have to confess that everytime my immediate first thought, without fail, will be about Sans Undertale.
You’re laughing. This is my second form and the latin choir has started singing, and you’re laughing.
Dear diary,
today I spent all of my waking hours simping for the old man again. It was nice. Sadly, he did not show up to give me kisses. Will try again tomorrow. The yearning never stops. 😔✊🏼

Just some headcannons about dragonborn, the LDB, and Miraak :p (some might actually be cannon)
- Dragons can absorb a dragonborns soul
- No matter who they might’ve sold their soul to Akatosh gets the final say in where a dragonborn ends up if their soul wasn’t absorbed. While he doesn’t have an afterlife of his own to send them to, he decides where they end up. He’ll reward good/heroic dragonborn with Sovengard, and punish bad/villain dragonborn with either the void if they didn’t sell their soul, or letting the Daedra fight over them
- When two dragonborn come into physical contact with one another, they become a mated pair, unless one has someone they identify as a mate or is mated to a different dragonborn. Seeing as it’s rare to have more then one dragonborn on nirn at a time, almost no one knows about it except for Paarthurnax and maybe a few other dragons
- Dragonborn can’t die from natural causes. While they can still starve and die of thirst, things like old age, sickness, strokes, heart attacks, etc. can’t kill them, and they can only die if someone or something else kills them. This is also my headcannon for how Miraak lived for thousands of years. While others may say it was because he was preserved in apocrypha I believe it’s due to this. Though apocrypha did stop his physical body from ageing, and allowed him to go completely with out food, water, and sleep
- Those with dragon blood, like the septim emperors, and those with a dragon soul, like Miraak, are two different things. There can be a mix of the two, like Tiber septim, but people with dragon blood are different from dragonborn. Examples are: Those with dragon blood can’t absorb a dragons soul. They would learn Dovah Zul as fast as any regular person, unlike dragonborn who can learn it almost immediately. Those with dragon blood can still die of natural causes. Dragonborn can’t wear the amulet of kings and light the dragon fires that protect Tamriel from the Daedra. Again there are some cases where the two mix, such as Tiber septim
- All dragonborn have a rebellious streak
- All dragonborn have a hunger for knowledge and power
- All dragonborn are competitive
- All dragonborn are prideful to an extent
- All dragonborn crave to dominate others
- Dragonborn can communicate really well with out having to say much because of their sil being very similar
- The LDB is the descendent/grandchild of the Hero of Kavatch.
- Dragonborn can resist shouts to an extent
everyone avert your eyes [expresses a standard human emotion] [illogically experiences shame even with only myself as witness]
Sugar Plum Queenie: I HAD THE BEST IDEA AT WORK TODAY: THE MERLIN CHARACTERS AT DISNEY LAND. IMAGINE THE CHAOS: LITTLE GIRLS HOUNDING MERLIN BECAUSE HE IS TOO PRETTY NOT TO BE MISTAKEN FOR A DISNEY PRINCE; ARTHUR STRUGGLING TO LIFT THE SWORD IN THE STONE IN FANTASY LAND AND ALMOST GETTING KICKED OUT BY SECURITY; THE KNIGHTS GOING WILD ON THE SPINNING TEA CUP RIDE; MORGANA AND GWEN BEING MISTAKEN FOR THE EVIL QUEEN AND PRINCESS TIANA AND AWKWARDLY STANDING FOR PHOTOS WHEN THEY JUST WANT CHURROS
the poor, overworked employees, looking on in silent, wide-eyed horror at the party of armored men screaming their hearts out on the teacup ride, at this man and the two ladies who are most definitely not a face character yet very reluctantly posing for photographs with a few dozen little girls, at the asshole literally trying to pry the goddamn sword out of the goddamn stone:
What kind of blog is it? You'll never know bc I'm indecisive.
