I will say, his experiences during the second movie will definitely help him improve mental health wise, and find a sort of peace with himself. But they won’t fix everything. I am really excited for y’all to see where this goes!

Of all the scenes I chose to draw of @rydoesartandstuff ‘s epic fan fic ‘Great Decisions’ I’ve read so far, I choose this one? *head desk*. I’m sorry I’m a sucker for angst and I just wanted to attempt to capture the internal agony John Dory was feeling in that moment. I also wanted to show the greyness overcoming him so tried to take it mid shot of his scream…. It should be a crime to see JD look this upset FR 😢. I’m sorry for this but I needed to get it out of my system. I honestly hope you like it 👉👈 🥺

For definite I will be drawing more scenes from this fan fic because it is just so rich in potential scenes to capture! Thank you @rydoesartandstuff for bringing this fic into existence! I will go and carrying on reading now! 😆

When JD saw Cooper for the first time, what went through his mind? I mean Cooper is different from Pop trolls because he's born a Funk troll, but JD and the others don't know anything about 'Other' Trolls before the events of the second movie right?

In all honesty, this is probs exactly how it went…

John Dory sneaking around town and sees a young Poppy running past with the rest of the Snack Pack, including Cooper.

John Dory, thinking:

“Huh, that’s an odd looking troll.”

“…”

“Anyways…”

He doesn’t really think too much about it😅 Just figured the kid was a little different, and went about his business. You’re absolutely right, they don’t know anything about the other Trolls, so the thought Cooper could be anything other than a “Pop Troll” never even crossed his mind.

Kid seemed nice enough, so he didn’t really care. After all, he’d be one of the last people to judge someone on appearances!

We know Bruce and Brandi's daughter is named LaBreezey, and four of their sons are named - Bruce Jr, Cove, Freddy, Windy and Rainy. What are the other kids names in your Au? Also would you change any of the cannon ones? Did Spruce name any kids after family members? (Beside Bruce Jr XD)

Fun fact, in this AU, Brandy has a twin sister named Whisky, so the twins/triplets was kind of a genetic thing! Bruce had to be bedbound for a month with each of the twins/triplets before they detached😂

Y’all think baby John Dory wanted to be a super hero when he was growing up?

I love to think “Great Decisions” JD loved the idea of being a hero, like the ones from his Dad’s stories about the Neverglade Trail. And in his eyes, his Dad was a hero, going out and saving/protecting people from the Bergens. He’d often play superheroes with Spruce, Clay, and Floyd.

Until of course he learned… There’s no such thing as heroes.

But omg look at him, so young and happy… Where did the years go?

Not really sure how to ask this? Sorry? But are we going to see more people flirting with John Dory à la CloudGuy calling John “Dad bod”? (Chapter 62) That part made me Laugh so hard! And the brother’s reaction to it was amazing! Also I can’t wait to see white you shipping John with!

Probably won’t see anyone HARDCORE flirting with JD like Cloudguy was (I still love that scene so much!) But… There will defo be some scenes of people admiring our boi!

I am also excited to write John Dory’s ship, and a little nervous… But regardless, I love it, and I think it adds a lot to the story, so I’m hype!!!!

Sorry I'm asking so much lore stuff, but I love picking your brain (Let me know if you want to slow down or anything) My next question is, are Brandi and Bruce's kids genetically theirs or adopted? The reason I ask is because of all the stuff they could inherit from Bruce's side of the family. Can they sing great? Would they have drug like qualities that a Troll seems to have? Not to mention stuff that just effects Bruce's family rather than all trolls. Like Clay's seemingly hinted at, high functioning autism could have jumped a generation from their parents, over Bruce and to his kids. Or John's dyslexia. Or John's Schizophrenia. Then there's also the Genetic Trauma (epigenetics) from generations of Trolls living in the Troll tree during Bergen occupation.

I like to headcanon that yes, they are genetically theirs, just because in the movie, they have Bruce’s ears, and trademark front swoops of his hair! I also like to think they have tails as well, and are a bit shorter than normal Vacaytioners.

More into troll lore, I think Bruce’s kids were born from eggs. Also, Bruce carried ALL their eggs, that’s why he’s got such big hair! Troll eggs are born from love, and well, Bruce has A LOT of love for Brandy, and for his kids. Brandy helped take over once the eggs detached, and were a bit too big for Bruce to carry.

Fun fact, all his kids are musically inclined! Just not always in singing. Some of them are just really good at playing instruments, or even writing music! They perform in the restaurant sometimes, which gives Bruce… Mixed feelings. But he’s always very supportive.

And another fun fact, Brandy is as tone deaf as they come. Remember that scene from Rio, with the toucan couple? That’s Bruce and Brandy. He absolutely loves her voice; it always sounded beautiful to him!

The genetics kind of stop there. I like to think at least one of Bruce’s kids has dyslexia, but other than that, they “dodged a genetic bullet” per se. No “troll drug” capabilities, no early warning signs of schizophrenia. What they did inherit was Brandy’s need to babble about anything and everything. Lucky for them, Bruce is more than happy to listen!

Ahhhhh I love this family! And you’re good with the questions! It just takes me a while to answer sometimes😅

One more fun fact I leave you with… In the BroZone family, Pine carried JD, Spruce, and Branch as eggs. Sunny carried Clay and Floyd! Idk, it doesn’t really matter plot wise, but that’s just how I see it in my brain!

(Also, any time I say “fun fact”, please read is in Tug Duluth’s voice from the Trolls tv show, it just makes everything better😂)

Oh wow, it does! Especially the line “Was that really you next to me?”, I keep imagining that with his brothers, especially Spruce. And not to be super specific, but that time JD was sitting outside Branch’s room when they first moved into the Bunker and Hallucination!Spruce showed up…

Ah! Thanks for getting my brain brewing! This begs the question… Should I make a post with a bunch of songs that inspire/remind me of “Great Decisions”?

One thing I think about a lot with the Trollz movie lore (and its fanfictions by default.) is laws and troll 'personhood'. Clearly most societies in Trollz seems to be un-united monarchies (Save for maybe Vacay Island and Mount Rageous.) which means their laws and jurisdiction don't extent past their boarders. This explains why Bergens were able to not grant the Trolls personhood and could do as they pleased with them but the Vacaytioners and Mount Rageons 'seemingly' do have laws to protect trolls. MY question to you is, when Bruce told Brandi what happened to him, do you think he and Brandi tried to do something about it? Tell Vacaytioner goverment maybe? I dunno if I'm wording this right, it kinds word soup! Just want your thoughts on this!

Personally, I think Trolls are treated as “second-class” citizens by pretty much all of the species that are bigger than them, like they’re not really people.

With the Bergens, that of course changed when the truce came about, and Bruce and Brandy were the forerunners of Trolls being treated equally by the Vacaytioners (Who i like to think hadn’t even SEEN a troll before him, except maybe a techno troll in passing). With the Mt. Rageons, the thoughts are kinda the same, that trolls are just kinda fun, cute little creatures, but they’re not really PEOPLE. After the events of movie three, I think Poppy was the forefront on the movement that trolls were people too!

As for Bruce and Brandy, and what they did after Bruce spilled the beans about what the Bergens did, I like to think Brandy did bring it up to some of the Vacaytioners without Bruce knowing. I don’t really think those guys have a government, they’re just more of a commune. They kind of dismissed her (she was still pretty young at the time), and their response was pretty much along the lines of “We can’t force another group of people to change”, and didn’t do much about it.

But Brandy is fiercely protective of Bruce, and made a lot of accommodations for him in her family’s restaurant, and will call out ANYONE who treats him as lesser. (He tells her it’s not necessary, but he truly appreciates it💜🧡)
