Today is a tad low effort and I am sorry. It's been a very long week. But I figured nothing is more gay than an au where Chil and Laios are swapped with Marcille and Falin lmaoo

I've made it further than I expected in the week♡
My headcannon is that Chilchuck is probably a little too closed off to really talk about his nightmares, and Laios isn't going to press anyway. But I DO think Laios yaps about anything and everything at any given moment and Chil takes comfort in his partners presence.

Just realized a pattern with my 2 most recent OTPs
Character A: autistic-coded & Sun-coded leader of main group, food obsessed yapper goofball who has a tendency to tick off their group due to their personality and interests, who gets a scar from attempting to rescue their sibling, who’s sibling dies, who’s name starts with L, becomes a King, has a resting face and blunt personality that pisses off people who they just meet, and is extremely loyal to their friends/found family

Character B: functioning alcoholic, moon-coded, right hand man to the leader, who has a green color motif, with resting bitch face, listener, enabler of character A , who struggles with verbal affection and tends to show love &care through actions, hot-headed, has become to desensitized to character A’s shenanigans and will get swept up in them, has gone to hell and back for their leader
Now am I talking about Chilaios or Zolu?

Was drawing chilaios inktober day 3 prompt and it got me thinking
If they were together in the dungeon
Chilchuck probably already came to terms with the fact that he’ll die before Laios due to the age difference between them, so the idea of Laios dying in the dungeon before him absolutely terrifies him, probably to the extent of the fear his daughters dying. So maybe if he was conscious to watch the stunt Laios pulled with the red dragon he would be having multiple heart attacks.
Then on Laios side he probably wouldn’t be to mad if he died in the dungeon before Chilchuck because he wouldn’t have to lose him, but also knowing Laios bleeding heart to his friends, he’d probably feel guilty leaving Chilchuck alone and with the survivors guilt.
Anyways they’re a mess and I love them both 💖

Chilaios Reincarnation AU
I haven’t seen all of the story yet I’m watching the Anime and slowly gathering a Manga Collection. So Apologies for anything that couldn’t comply with Canon
So we know Chilchuck’s Lifespan is already gonna be shorter than Laios due to Race but also because he’s basically Middle-aged on top of that so just, in post canon he is sadly gonna be the first to go of the Party, and I think that because of the Winged Lion maybe somehow Laios is also lasting longer just cause of some curse shenanigans.
So what if Chilchuck passes and is later reincarnated as another Half foot who has heard the legends of The King of Golden Country who had a party that surrounded him. Who had a Halffoot that he held dear to him. Which this new iteration of Chilchuck has been told he looks very similar to. Maybe this Incarnation meets with Laios before he passes and Laios gets a look in his eyes of recognition, But just moves on sullenly never addressing it, and leaving Chilchuck with a feeling in him that he never could place. Maybe when Laios passes he Reincarnates and the new incarnations meet once again very similar circumstances but once again the age gap causes Chilchuck to leave him once again. And this happens over and over again where they reincarnate and keep meeting briefly and have their relationships but just keep missing and one of them leaves too early. But finally in a more modern time, the golden country’s story and reemergence has become more legend than history, but the story of the King, his lover and his party are still deeply engraved in history. And maybe finally in this modern world half foots live as long as Tallmen, and finally Chilchuck and Laios are together for the entirety of their lifespans no longer leaving the other too soon for them to follow.
TL;DR: Chilaios au: where Chilchuck and Laios always meet when reincarnated, but keep barely missing each other, and finally, after a long time, they can spend the rest of their lives together.
DUNGEON MESHI DOODLES
I think my favorite way to look at love interests for both Falin and Laios is that both of them always got at least like two people eyeing them up and down but being oblivious to it.
Especially when it comes to ships like Farcille and Chilaios with their individual partners just having to stand guard while both of them just don’t care or even took notice.
And I just love the idea of Chilchuck having to like run off people double his size like Toshiro from Laios or Marcille just malding from the amount of people trying to flirt with Falin.
I think we as a society don’t talk enough of that one part in the manga that Laios tells Izutsumi to kill him if anything seemed wrong after he spoke with Lion. Mind you in secret as well.
Like genuinely this is the definition of placing full trust onto her and it’s so… WAHHHHHHHHHH
This also further fuels my agenda of Izutsumi and Laios bond where Izutsumi warms up to him and Laios learns to be more observant of her but at a distance so she isn’t weirded. Daughter and Father Agghhhhhhhhhhhh
He buys her the good quality fish at the store, and gets her snacks when she seems in a bad mood.
Also thinking of how in post canon she brings monster she kills to him. Urghh kitty coded
Further fueling in my mind Izutsumi Chilaios child that they learn to parent.
Thinking of that one Chimera Laios post idk the original poster(sorry) where Falin sees Laios the happiest he’s ever seen with her eyes a chimera. And it’s like HELLOO?!?? That’s amazing
I’m just thinking how’d she would explain that to literally everyone else.
“Like hello yes guys my brother y’know the one a good portion of you have a strong distaste for is the happiest ever when he isn’t human, free from moral, and the judgement of others as well as biases or connotations”
“I’m totally taking that super well, give me a minute.”
And in my little shipper brain I’m thinking of that in the Chialios brain worms, he saw it coming. He’d already observed him many times before seeing him crack the biggest unrestrained smiles when in the dungeon, the best laughs, the biggest wide eyes, the happiest he looked.
Something he’d only seen when being gentle and domestic with the other, it’d be crushing knowing your possible love interest feels the best inhuman.
Currently scratching out my brain from the thoughts. And sorry for the long text post : p

I like to think Falin has like her own little diary which she treats like her own little monster manual.
But instead of monsters it’s people and all the drama they tell her randomly cause they think she’s either not paying attention or they just need to vent.
Like Marcille tells her some drama between students at the academy she’s making charts and graphs on how it all connects.
Laios tells her about Chilchuck and his little crush on him, she’s writing entire pages worth of notes on the stuff Laios tells her.
Random tavern patron tells her about their shit life she’s writing it down.
Like she writes it all down and just has it stashed away in her little journal under her mattress cause she’d feel bad if someone read her notes on them.
