I completely forgot to post my problematic girl kisser in denial Winnie here đ sheâs in a situationship with Dorothea May and comes from a pretty rough background thatâs caused her to become jaded throughout the years
Gaia my beloved, she is a very distant relative of Caesar through a sibling of the wife of Proximus Caesar (yes i headcanon that proximus is ironically the real descendant of Caesar and no he did not realize this was actually 100% either). She is very loosely inspired by Dr. Zira and Ari, as well as having some inspiration from Jordan Baker in the Great Gatsby. I forgot to specify this in reference but she is from one of the handful of âOld Moneyâ chimpanzee families, and she holds a lot of prejudices that she doesnât even realize are offensive (inspired by Dr. Ziraâs blatant hatred for gorillas and orangutans in the og films).
In honor of world bonobo day here are pota bonobo headcanons for my auâźď¸âźď¸
- many of the bonobos of the large bonobo colony originated from either zoos or research facilities, and the latter were fluent in yerkish.
- Sign language isnât known by most bonobos, as they have always communicated verbally once speech was acquired by them (I imagine before this was discovered they communicated using simple gestures and drawing out yerkish symbols they could remember into the ground).
- Some of the yerkish symbols are remembered in the modern â20s eraâ as symbols with vague but sacred meanings.
- bonobos and gibbons are considered to be long time allies, stemming from admiration for one another in âancient timesâ (aka Caesarâs time) and a shared history of discrimination and persecution by the other ape species
- It was through this close bond that allowed bonobos to also gain the difficult ability of singing far sooner than their non-bonobos counterparts
- Chimps and gorillas that originated from the San Francisco colony (more on this in a separate post the Caesar family drama goes crazy) nearly hunted their kind to extinction before they went into full isolation mode and almost seemed to âdisappearâ from history for many generations.
- They were found by proximusâ apes and forced into many years of servitude until his untimely death, and they again fled and went into hiding until they began something akin to âmythological creaturesâ until they felt safe enough to live openly a few decades before the 20s eraâs.
- I like to think that the few apes that accidentally encountered often spotted them wading in the water, thus making them believe they were something equivalent to âwater nymphsâ and non-apes.
- Song and dance is extremely sacred to them and itâs considered a great honor to allow outsiders to join in
- Water is also a deep part of their culture, I love to imagine them being fascinated by mammals that live in/near the water such as beavers, river otters etc.
- They have a less than favorable view of Caesar due to centuries of bad history with chimpanzees and their belief that their personal martyr died as a result of Caesarâs teachings (not entirely true but no side currently knows the full story).
- Bonobos directly inspired the 20s eraâs âflapperâ look and lifestyle and are unfortunately uncredited for it
- Many 20s era bonobos are French speaking with French based names, this is due to their ancestors learning the language in order to further isolate themselves from other non-bonobo colonies.
- A controversial practice that died out only a few decades before they stopped hiding themselves was the breaking of young females hands in order to strengthen the bones and spirit, not realizing at the time they were in fact only weakening them.
- This practice originated from a very young Lisalaâs (Iâve talked a bit about her before, she is meant to loosely pay homage to Lisa and is the martyr worshipped by bonobos) mother shattering her hands with a rock in response to her throwing a tantrum and striking her younger brother.
- A character that hasnât been introduced to yall yet succeeded in introducing it to Soror City (Francesca Octavia; rumored to be the result of a bonobo/chimp affair and is known for being the âbridgeâ between the two speciesâ separate societies)
- Currently in the 20s era, bonobos that live in Soror City often struggle to find sustainable careers due to biases held by other apes who find them âundesirableâ to have working for them. As a result many often find work in less than legal and/or socially acceptable ways, such as bushmeat hunting or working in brothels.
- Despite this, they are loved and trusted by apes of the rising queer community who are warmly welcomed by the bonobos in the city.
- Dorothea May is considered to be the first true glimpse of hope in their community, due to her breaking barriers and becoming the first adored bonobo film actress
Concept scene (consider it semi canon for now) for my AU, my idea for this thingy is that it will sometimes switch settings from the âmodern 1920sâ era to the eras of Cornelius and later his son Milo. Mainly because I like the idea of creating parallels between characters and exploring why things are the way they are by the time the â1920sâ era starts.
For context, I based Lakeâs role very loosely off of Heloise from Escape from planet of the apes and as such sheâs become pretty jaded throughout the years and has a strained relationship with Corneliusâs son Milo and his sonâs wife Lisala (paying homage to the original Caesarâs wife Lisa)
Again this is mainly concept so itâs a lil messy đ
âLisa. Quit your sniffling, get up,â Lake rather bluntly ordered the much younger female, unbothered by the fact that the little queen was practically curled up in the fetal position.
Lake stood at the entrance to the royal coupleâs home, even with the indifference she felt towards the two she still couldnât bring herself to disrespect them by fully entering without permission. For now, she was perfectly content with waiting for the bonobo get up and follow her outside, there was to be a funeral for the late prince after all.
When it looked like the queen wasnât even going to stir from her spot, Lake briefly considered getting one of Lisalaâs few friends to drag her out of her nest before Lisala finally spoke, quietly but loud enough for the older female to make out, âI do not want them to burn him, it will hurt him even more.â
Lake sighed while rubbing her forehead in growing frustration, âHe is already dead, Lisa. It does not matter anymore.â The fact that the queen still couldnât understand sign fluently made this conversation even more aggravating, especially since Lake hated the way her throat ached with each word she forced out.
Finally, Lisala shifted from her spot and Lake was able to notice the dark stains on the fur pelts that made up the nestâlikely being dried blood, and it was that exact moment where a foul stench permeated the air around them.
She couldnât hide her gag and had to slap a hand over her muzzle to avoid vomiting; was that ape insane?! The bonobo would be lucky if her fur didnât reek of death once they finally managed to pry the tiny corpse from her arms. âSorry. Got used to it,â Lisala murmured while gently rocking her son in her arms, seemingly unfazed by the smell of rot around her.
Lake hiccuped as she felt bile hit her throat and immediately had to step out to swallow it with a grimace, she hadnât signed up for this. Milo had simply ordered her to retrieve his wife and child for the funeral pyre; that was it.
After spending a few minutes outside to clear her head and nose from the smell, she knew she had no choice but to drag the queen outside if she had any hopes of finally getting the prince away from her. Lake had been told earlier that day by one of the elder females that in the old days, it wasnât uncommon for mothers to carry around their dead infants as a coping mechanism.
She could sympathize with that concept but that didnât make it any less unnerving to watch the mourning mother coo at her son like he was still alive. They didnât follow the traditions from the old days anymore for good reasons most of the time, and this was becoming another reason why.
The healers had explained to her and Bark that there was nothing they could do for the child, he had been long dead when they inevitably found him; in a crumpled heap next to a bloodstained boulder, it had been clear to everyone that the poor thing slipped from the branches above and cracked his skull on the rock. According to the lead healer, Fisher, the prince likely died on impact or passed while he was unconscious.
Instead of having him be cleaned up by the healers in preparation for the funeral pyre, Lisala had snatched him up and darted to her home without even saying a word to anyone there. She wasnât the only one who was hurt over the princeâs death and that was another thing that frustrated Lake.
Lisala always seemed to carry the belief that she was alone despite being surrounded by apes that waited on her hand and foot without a single complaint, what right did she have to claim that they didnât care for her?
And it had been nearly a whole week since Lisala holed up in her and her husbandâs nest, not coming out once even to eat or drink; Lake suspected Milo had been sneaking her both of them to allow her to wallow in her misery away from everyone.
She wished she had just sucked it up and begged one of the queenâs friendsâall bonobos, of courseâto drag her out themselves but she didnât have the patience to deal with their annoying behavior either! So she wasnât just left with the option of being even more firm about this, even if it came off as being cruel for no good reason.
âStop crying.â
âWhy?â Oh great, here was that annoying habit of Lisala questioning literally anything and everything coming back at the worst time.
It felt like she was talking to a toddler at this point, âYou can not show weakness. For your husbandâs sake.â
âWhy?â
Was she really that dense?!
Lake couldnât stop herself from snapping, âStop asking why! You are the kingâs wife, that is why!â
âBut why?! This,â Lisala practically shoved the still bloodied corpse of the little prince in Lakeâs disgusted face, âwas my baby too! Why is Milo your only concern, you hate my husband, almost as much as you hate me!â She immediately pulled her son back close to her chest, gently stroking the fatal wound on his head while looking down at him with watery eyes.
Lake stared at the trembling bonobo, and for the first time was really hit with just how young Lisala looked; that was right, she said herself awhile back she was only thirteen. Milo was almost as young as her but didnât have to go through the anxiety of pregnancy, the indescribable pain of birth, nursing that infant with the knowledge theyâd have to be weaned one day, just to be holding their cold corpse not even a year later.
She could remember how ecstatic Lisala was when she first realized she was pregnant, and had pleaded with the midwives to allow her to seek out her original clan so she could give birth with her family. Of course, they had refused to let her go off on her own, it wouldâve been too dangerous so she had instead given birth to her first son while surrounded by females she barely knew. According to Milo, she had later sobbed over not being with her mother during such a sacred time in her life.
It was almost like looking at a younger version of herself. The way she had spoke to Lisala was the exact way she would talk to herself when she first discovered she was pregnant with her late loveâs child, degrading herself for wanting to breakdown and cry because traumatized little Cornelius was the one who needed comforting, not her. And here she was doing the same thing to a vulnerable little girl with her dead child in her arms.
Lake felt sick to her stomach.
More than anything she wished to have her former mother-in-lawâs guidance and kind way of handling situations like this but⌠she was long dead, and so was her beloved Blue Eyes. Her eyes stung with tears and the only thing she could choke out was, âjust please come down before sunset⌠LisâLisala, please.â
Georgiana another one of my favorites ⨠A gorilla beauty standard in this AU includes them painting their teeth black (reference to how irl wild gorillas often have black teeth due to their diets that are high in tannins), and you also get to see Georgiana without her makeup and with visible freckles on bottom left yippee
More roaring 20s AU âźď¸ This time showcasing three more characters (designs will be tweaked a bit since Iâm trying to get more comfortable with drawing apes in my art style) and focusing on the complicated relationship between two of them
- Russell âRustyâ McGowan (Chimpanzee): a bushmeat hunter that works directly under Georgianaâs husband, Edward Cavendish. He lives off of the money he receives from the illegal trade for the sake of supporting himself and his young son, Forge, following the tragic death of his late wife, Ambrosia Callaway. Tends to be a bit reckless and is willing to do anything for a quick buck but is overall considered to be pleasant to be around, and is a bit of a hopeless romantic. Affair partner to Georgiana following what was originally meant to just be a one night stand but, theyâve continued seeing each other ever since; he enjoys/admires Georgianaâs feistiness and resilience.
- Georgiana Cavendish (nĂŠe Leigh; Gorilla): ânew-moneyâ owner of a popular speakeasy, a former âGibbon Girlâ model (reference to irl âGibson Girlsâ), and is considered to be a highly respected socialite due to her connections with Virginia and her husband being a feared gangster. She has a young daughter, Ortensia, who she genuinely loves very much and at best, simply tolerates her marriage to Edward but as time passes she finds herself becoming more and more miserable about it. She is a very flawed individual with many biases that she finds hard to overcome due to the way she was raised but ironically through her affair, finds herself slowly becoming more willing to understand other points of view.
- Virginia Seymour (nĂŠe Callaway; Orangutan): âold-moneyâ heiress to her late parentsâ fortune and niece of controversial political/religious leader, Phineas Callaway, who is currently limiting her affluence with the excuse of âa young woman like herself just wouldnât know what to do with all that cash!â. She is the childhood friend of Georgiana, a former âGibbon Girlâ, and is a well known socialite among those who follow the âOrder of Caesarâ. She is married to Finnegan Seymourâa bit of a corrupt lawyer, and is the loving mother of their baby girl Cornelia Fayeânamed in honor of the first ape queen Cornelia. She is cousins with the late Ambrosia Callaway, who she was raised with like a sister due to orangutans low birth rate and high rates of miscarriages/still-borns.
My silly art account đ where I shall discuss pota stuff
No one asked but i shall slowly deliver my Roaring 20âs themed Planet of the Apes (future) AU starting with one of my personal favorites, Dorothea May the Bonobo.
Bonobos by the time this AU is set, are uncredited for inspiring the flapper look which includes styling fur into a bob-cut style and shaving off most of their hair off as a reflection of their societyâs view of hairlessness as a status symbol (seeing as back in the day, alpha female bonobos were typically hairless from over-grooming by subordinates). The majority of them have French surnames and were heavily isolated from the other ape speciesâminus Gibbons who theyâve had friendly relations with for centuriesâresulting in them sometimes âAmericanizingâ their names when they move to the main setting of this AU, Soror, which is dominated by the other apes species.
Iâll probably go more into depth about Bonobo culture in this AU in a separate post mainly because itâs quite long and I have many thoughts đ also the symbol on her necklace is meant to be an ancient emblem for Bonobo beliefs that has long since been interpreted in many different ways, it is the Yerkish symbol for âhideâ
For a vague idea of the AU, itâs very loosely inspired by the original POTA novel which is vaguely based on early 20th century America and the concept of flapper apes came to me so here we are. I plan on taking inspiration from the original novel, the reboot films (seeing as this is meant to be set maybe around one to two thousand years after), some bits that I genuinely enjoyed from the Tim Burton adaption of POTA, âThe Humansâ comic series, and unsurprisingly the Great Gatsby lmao
Rating: 8.0 of 10
15 years after the breakout of Simian Flu (in Rise of the Planet of the Apes, or âRiseâ for simplicity)--which leaves most of human population dead and the apesâ intelligence uplifted, the ape society that Caesar (Andy Serkis) lead is forced to hide in the forest after Kobaâs--Caesarâs former frenemy--fateful attempt to wage war against humans (in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, reviewed here). In War for the Planet of the Apes, Caesar still tries to prove that the apes meant no harm. But then, one particularly vicious attack changed him forever.
Based on the title, I fully expected for the movie to be about an all out war between the apes and humans, but I was definitely wrong. In fact, âWarâ is basically the complete opposite of that. Although the scene began with a brutal attack between apes and humans, the rest of âWarâ is a very quiet, introspective movie of Caesarâs conflicted mind, and somehow the titular war is actually between two factions of human groups. But I figured thematically it makes sense, since âDawnâ was all about the war between two factions of the apes.
Science fiction is the best when it explores humanity through a new lense, and âWarâ is definitely one of those instances. We see apes dealing with every kind of human emotion, and we see the humans coping with the rise of new intelligent species and possible extinction. âWarâ is a very interesting study of human and humanity, although I must say itâs not the most fun movie, to say the least.
If thereâs any flaw about the movie, itâs the extremely bleak view of humanity, to the point that it feels forced. Colonelâs (Woody Harrelson) faction of humans are basically the living embodiment of the worst side of humanity, while Caesar continues to make worse and worse decisions. Which is a shame, because âDawnâ used to have a much more nuanced discussion of the matter. I mean, âWarâ work extremely well as a grand study of humanity, but I do find myself wishing the movie would have chosen a slightly different perspective.Â
TL;DR It does make for an excellent sci-fi and a moving movie experience, but I did walk away from the cinema feeling incredibly sorrowful, instead of hopeful for a new day. But it definitely speaks of the strength of the movie that it could move me so much. I still would definitely recommend this movie, although maybe, get the tissues ready.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (or âDawnâ for simplicity) is that rare smart summer blockbuster, but I wonât talk much about the the actual movie other than it is a great and satisfying experience and you should go see it. What Iâm gonna talk about is what I think âDawnâ is to Hollywood. Itâs an interesting movie, but it also brings out A LOT of interesting points about modern blockbuster landscape in general. Which is, I might say, a sign of an even betterâand possibly transformativeâmovie.Â
Being both a sequel (to âRise of the Planet of the Apesâ) and a prequel (to the general franchise), âDawnâ lands itself in a very weird and difficult spot. Sequels too frequently feel like a âbeen there done thatâ exercise, especially if the sequel refuses to stray away from whatever formula that succeeded in the first installment. And prequels, by definition, are predestined journeys and generally donât leave enough room for surprises. Matt Reeves (director) smartly chose to set âDawnâ 10 years after the events of âRiseâ, which means: skipping the viral outbreak entirely, making the apes the main characters instead of the humans, and shying as far away from previous movieâs James Francoâs character as possible. In other words, a completely different movie than âRiseâ.Â
He, however, could not set âDawnâ completely free from the trappings of a prequel. We know that apes would eventually rule the world. Intelligently, we (and Reeves) knew. In fact, plotwise, âDawnâ is not much of a surprise. Some humans want peace, some want war. Some apes want peace, some want war. Several confusions, betrayals, and bad timings later, war ensues. But âDawnâ made itself not necessarily about what happens, but how it happens. It is a journey of emotions, and boy, did âDawnâ pack up some real emotions. The moment we see Caesarâs sonâs (Nick Thurston) eyes stared blankly at the person who killed his friend is the exact moment we weep. Weâve long reconciled with the fact that humans are hateful and unsalvageable, but now we see a brand new species pick up on that hatred and ran with it with apparent ease. It is shocking, it is jarring, and it is exactly how it should make us feel.Â
All of that emotion is conveyed largely by CGI and motion capture, which is an incredible feat in itself. All praises should go to Weta that worked on the effect, and also Andy Serkis and all the motion capture actors. Yep, I mentioned them as actors, which is what they should be recognized as. It only takes a quick minute to peek into the behind-the-scenes and see the kind of emotionality and physicality that they bring into the characters.Â
(BONUS: Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes motion capture clip)
Tangentially, internet listed âDawnââs budget as $120 mill which is not at all surprising or that big (or even downright cheap) for a summer blockbuster with heavy effects. Hmm, Iâll just let that sink in for future reference. The very good news is, âDawnâ is a success critics-wise and box-office-wise. It gained an impressive $70 mill in the first weekend (overperforming previous predictions and knocking out Transformers 4 from first place), which means that audience are ready for and apparently like a nontraditional, smart movie.Â
Why, nontraditional, you might ask? The general preconception of Hollywood blockbuster (especially for the more fantastical stories) is that general audience need a surrogate. Like Alice in Wonderland, we just need Alice as that normal character that acts as a filtering window to the strange world. Thatâs why we have Jake Sully of Avatar, Neo of The Matrix, Bella of Twilight, heck, even Frodo of The Lord of The Rings (who is considerably more normal than wizards and elves). Thatâs why, in almost every fantastical or alienesque world, thereâs always a human (or at least human-like) character. Thereâs a human character in âDawnâ, alright, but if thereâs any surrogate itâs not Malcolm the human (Jason Clarke). Itâs Caesar the leader of the apes (Andy Serkis). He is the first character we saw, and it is through him we view and feel the ape community. Granted, he is the most human-like of them all (being the one ape who lived so long with a human. But one could argue that Koba (Toby Kebbel) is also human-like in a different fashion), but the preconception that audience couldnât relate with what isnât human? Gone with this movie.
Also, maybe half of the movie is practically mute. Granted, there are sign languages and subtitles but Hollywood execs thought that audience hate subtitles too. Who wouldâve thought that wild moves like these ones would pay off and audience would relate to the characters no problem? Filmmakers who donât underestimate the audience and refuse to bow down to the lowest common denominator, thatâs who. Hopefully future filmmakers will learn from this movie and succeed even more.Â
TL;DR To sum up, âDawnâ is not only a good movie but also a breath of fresh air, because it is what happens if filmmakers respect their audience and try to tell an interesting story instead of hitting bulletpoints.
đđđđ đđđđ đđđ đ đđ đđđđđđ đ đđđđđđđđđđ. He tried clicking the rocks together multiple times, but no fire would spark up in resort.
His features turned to an annoyed look, a disgruntled grunt leaving him. His father thought itâd be a good idea to try and let Blue Eyes do this all on his own in order to âbecome more independent and prepare for the hardships, as a leaderâ.
Sometimes, the blue-eyed ape wished he wasnât reminded all the time of what he was supposed to become.
A disdained sigh left his mouth, huddled up by the damp it of where the fire was supposed to be. After a couple more times, the prince ape threw the rocks away with utter anger and bared his teeth. Harshly sitting down, the Prince just stared at the barren place of where the fire was supposed to be.
Glancing upwards, he saw the night sky with the only light source being the limited stars. Shoulders slumped, Blue Eyes stared at the ground in dismay.
He was left to his thoughts in the cold now, as he couldnât wait to go back home to the colony and receive the immediate warmth of the fire. Blue Eyes couldnât wait to go back to having fun with his best friend, Ash.
Though he recalled on it, the blue-eyed ape did remember being slightly jealous that the best friend of his didnât have to worry about the responsibilities that Blue Eyes would have to live up to for future reference.
Sometimes, he wondered how Ash even managed to do it.
A brief sigh left him, walking up to retrieve the stones he had throw away. Picking them up, a clink noise was heard from them making contact with each other. The prince ape slowly went back to the empty fireplace and knelt down nearby it.
Blue Eyes went back to trying to light up the fire, once again.

They wished they didnât just stand there doing nothing. Oh, the fear in your eyes terrified them so much. The screams for them to help save you from Koba were not listened to.
Blue Eyes was frozen in fear, his blue eyes whirling up with tears and glanced at Ash, who was also frozen in shock.
They didnât know what to do then, they were so scared. Your screams echoed the building, as you were being pushed down the balcony by Koba. The screams were even worse then and then, it was silent.
You werenât moving or breathing. You were gone and they would have nightmares about it for the rest of their lives. Oh, how they wish they shouldâve done something to stop Koba, but it was too late now.
You were gone. Blue Eyes and Ashâs biggest regret is not doing anything to save you from Kobaâs grasp. They just stood there, doing nothing.
This time, they would do something to save all the other apes. And they would do it for you.
[GIF not mine] [Song: Welcome Home by Radical Face and it doesnât belong to me]
You close your eyes and smile softly in your bed. It was time to go back home. Closing your eyes, you played the special song inside your head. So many times you had tried and failed to return home, but this time...this would be it.
Sleep don't visit, so I choke on sun.
It was true sleep was never reaching to you and you had to suffer the consequences.
And the days blur into one.
You imagined yourself hanging on a tree like Alice from Alice in Wonderland. It was all calm and the leaves were rustling against the hills. It gave you a sense of Deja-vu, but you just kept reminding yourself of what your life would be at your real home.
And the backs of my eyes hum with things I've never done.
This truly would be something youâd never done before, so you hummed to yourself the same song to calm your nerves down. You started to smell firewood and fresh berries, you werenât even there, but you were so close.
Sheets are swaying from an old clothesline.
Your hands tingled with anticipation, urging for you to just hurry and go home, but you had to wait for him. If you were to just go home a second early before him, then it would all go down the drain.
Like a row of captured ghosts over old dead grass.
The plan was set in your head of what your real home would be like. Peaceful, calm, wondrous, accepting. Those were things that our world could never be, but that didnât matter anymore.
Was never much but we made the most.Â
You looked down below you from the tree and you saw him. With his blue eyes, full of wonder and innocence. Something you had a long time ago. That innocence of yours was never going to be there for long. But, you made the most of it.
âIt....is....time....â Blue Eyes hooted at you, gesturing you to follow him. He scurried away, knowing you would follow him and off he went through the hole. You jumped down the tree, running after him and feeling the leaves rustle your feet. You yelped in surprise, realising you were falling.
Welcome home (ho-o-ome, ho-o-ome, ho-o-ome...)
Your head was spinning, as you felt the air rush past your face. You looked from right to left and visualised your home. From the Muir Woods to the Ape Village, it was perfect. There was no turning back now.
Ships are launching from my chest.
You finally came to a stop, landing softly on a pillow. A door was there in front of you with a key on the table beside it. You cautiously walked up towards it inserting the key into the keyhole, unlocking it.
Some have names but most do not.
Before going through the door, you turned to the mirror the appeared beside you. There you saw yourself, your true self. You sighed in relief, tears almost sprouting from your eyes.
If you find one, please let me know what piece I've lost.
You took a few deep breaths, this was it. You pushed the door open, a light was shining through your eyes and once it died down, there was the apes, surrounding you.
Heal the scars from off my back.
They hooted in delight, happy to see you home. You felt of weight on your shoulders all of a sudden, it was Blue Eyes burying his head into the shoulder. He was smelling your scent, hoping this was all real. âYou.....are....home...now...â
You nod and smile softly at him. He then left go of you and came in front of you. âBut...what about....humans...?â Blue Eyes was full of worry, wondering if you were going to up and leave them for the humans.
âI don't need them anymore. You can throw them out or keep them in your mason jars.â
Blue Eyes hooted in delight and lead you into the Ape Village. Apes were looking at you in wonder, awe and relief. Caesar came before you, smiling softly at you and his eyes full of tears ready to sprout out.
âI have....missed...you...We...have all....missed you...â
I've come home (ho-o-ome, ho-o-ome, ho-o-ome...)
In respect, you did the âApes Together Strongâ sign and the others joined in with you. They all hooted in celebration that you were back. You were a new hope for them to finally live in peace. For many years, you had been shut out of the one place you called home and now you were homesick no more.
All my nightmares escaped my head.
There were many nightmares you had of one ape with the scars. His name was Koba and he always had a malicious look in his eye. And there he was standing in the Ape Village, showing you a look that showed that he respected and tolerated you.
Bar the door, please don't let them in.
â[Name]...is back...home where...they...belong...â Caesar declared, apes were rushing up towards you and greeting you. But, an ash-coloured had got there before them all and jumped on top of you. It was Ash, who was now hooting in happiness and looked like he was about to cry as well.
âYou were never supposed to leave.â
Blue Eyes signed to you, with Ash nodding in agreement. You gave them a sad look and an apologetic smile. âIâm sorry. I didnât want to leave as well.â
Now my head's splitting at the seams.
You managed to get up, thanks to the help of Ash and Blue Eyes. They noticed your sad look, as you were about to let the tears fall down.
And I don't know if I can. Â
You just let it all out and started crying. Tears sprouting out and falling fast down your face. You were shaking and hiccupping by now. You kept repeating how sorry you were.
Here, beneath my lungs, I feel your thumbs press into my skin again.
You felt Blue Eyes and Ash wrap their arms around you. You felt a hand running across your thumb in a comforting motion. Your whimpering and shaking was calming down and coming to a stop. Looking up at them and smiling at them you knew. There was no need to cry anymore, and you know why?
Because you were now safe and sound at home. You were lost, but you were now found.
Welcome home. Â
-Finally, they would both stop fighting over you. It was pretty easy for them to come to an agreement, since they are like brothers. Having you in their lives, was the best thing that ever happened to them
Caesar regretting having his trust in Koba, now that he has seen you get shot by him:
Caesar chose to trust Koba, he was like a brother to him and now because of his hatred for humans it has caused him to shoot Caesar and [Name].
Caesar was a bit more calmer knowing that his sons were okay. But you were no where to be found. Cornelius would have to grow up without a mother and Blue Eyes would never get the opportunity as well.
No other physical pain hurt more to Caesar than the fact that you are gone.
And he would have to deal with it.Â
Being Caesarâs Wife but Koba being Secretly in Love with You
[GIF not mine]
To say Koba was furious was an understatement. He was livid that the humans were still here and that Caesar wasnât doing anything about it.
He was even more furious that he was putting his own family in danger, especially you.
Koba cared for you a lot, but he knew he could never be with you since Caesar was yours and you were his.
Koba would always be jealous of Caesar and he would always feel hatred towards humans and no one could change that.
He wasnât ashamed of showing that hatred but he was ashamed of being in love with someone who already has a mate they love dearly.
Koba was humiliated when he called out Caesar on loving humans more than apes and got himself a beating in front of all the other apes. He couldnât even look you in the eye, knowing full well that your look was a look of disappointment.
Caesar knew that after what happened between him and Koba at the dam would show that an even bigger fight was coming soon.
And he was going to be ready for it.
Ape. Together. Strong.
In all honesty, I wish they added this scene to the movie because it shows how important Caesar and his family are. Also I like how they made a big deal over Corneliusâ birth and the music they are doing in the background is my JAZZ. By they way, ya like JAZZ?
This also is beautiful because it shows how much Caesar appreciates Koba being by his side. Also BROMANCE YAâLL!! I HATE how they deleted this beautiful scene. It would have made the movie a bit more better but itâs still awesome as always. Simply muah, muah. *Chef kissing noises from the tip of my fingers*.

You and Blue Eyes thought that disobeying Caesarâs orders to go after the injured elk. Only for them to be injured themselves by the bear. Great, just great.
âCAESAR!â [Name] yelled in desperation as Blue Eyes yelped for help as well, as both the young apes got slashed by the bear. Caesar tried to jump on top of the bear but it was on all fours so it was harder to kill it.
Caesar then jumped in front of both Blue Eyes and [Name] as he started yelling for Koba. Blue Eyes hissed at the bear and at the stinging pain on his shoulder. [Name] held Blueâs hand and squeezed it to reassure him that itâll be okay.
As soon as they saw Koba flying down towards the bear, who was on its hind legs, they knew it was going to be okay. They both smiled at each other knowing that, but then frowned when they realised.
They were also so going to get a huge telling off from Caesar and from [Fatherâs Name].
Oh boy, oh boy....
Imagine-
You are an ape living in the ape village and you have a crush on the blue-eyed prince, Blue Eyes. The same goes for him. You, him, Cornelius and Caesar were now on each of your own horses but with Cornelius in Blue's arms. As you lot have now arrived in front of the humans, you get off your horse and go towards them. At first, the humans are quite anxious of what you'll do but as you hoot in a non-threatening way they soon calmed down. They seemed polite, except the one who shot Ash. What you didn't notice, was that Blue Eyes was gazing at you in dreamy and admirational way. He loved everything about you and if he was being honest, he is a bit scared that those humans would hurt you. Blue Eyes was too busy daydreaming about you that he didn't notice was that his baby brother could see the look in Blue's eyes. Cornelius hooted in disgust as he made his way by jumping off Blue Eyes and also wanting to be able to interact with the humans as well. That was when Blue Eyes blushed in embarrassment and hurried off after his baby brother.

Blue Eyes seeing you get shot and living with the fact that he couldnât do anything about that. He hated how cruel the world was and you for having to push him and save his life. He hated it had to be you and his father being shot. Why? Why? Why? Why?

Caesar accidentally spilling his feelings for you and now not knowing what to say. So he just looks away blushing mildly and trying to look serious.

-Him fishing so that he could amaze you with the amount of fish he caught, but that went terribly as Ash would jokingly make Blue lose his concentration and then start again.
-Blue Eyes bringing you fruits and flowers every single time because he is a nice, cute, underrated baby.
-Ash constantly teasing both of you, ending with both of you blushing mildly.
-Blue Eyes showing off his hunting skills to you when hunting.
-Blue Eyes taking quick peaks at you to make sure you are listening to him when he is venting out his problems.
-You both snuggling up against each other whilst watching the sunset.
-Caesar shaking his head whilst chuckling to himself as he watches Blue Eyes hang on a tree, watching you with a sloppy, lovesick grin on his face.
-Blue Eyes teaching you how to use a bow and arrow.
-Blue Eyes feeling like he is at the edge of fainting because of everything about you.
-Blue Eyes being a lovesick, puppy-I mean ape...

-âNever worry me like that again [Name]. I love and care for you too much.â
-To say Blue Eyes is worried is an understatement....
-He will stay by your side and not leave you for one second.
-Well until the obas force him out, so they can help you.
-Ash will love to tease Blue Eyes about when you two will be mates.
-Blue Eyes will tell Ash to shut up as usual he won't admit it, but he does love the idea of you and him being mates.
-Blue Eyes and Ash will try come visit you but the obas are like: NOPE!
-Ash will still somehow get Blue able to see you.
-Sometimes Blue will get nightmares and will come into your hut with his heart hammering so much, he thought it would burst out of his body.
-But when he saw you were okay, he would come and sleep next to you.
-Blue Eyes can't wait for when you get better.
-Once you do get better, he immediately leaps onto you like a frog and pulls you into a tight hug.
-Blue is here getting emotional with tears threatening to come out, while you are trying to calm him down.
-Blue Eyes even went up to the point where he made a vow to never let you get hurt like that again.
-He is usually the quiet prince but when it came to you, he was all brave and confident all of a sudden.
-Cornelia would full on tease Blue and I mean full on tease.
-Even Cornelius....
-Even our king Caesar-
-And even Koba sometimes-
-Koba was okay with you two being together soon. He didn't care if you were a male. NONE OF THE APES DID! As long as you weren't a human and just an ape.
-Everyone is very accepting there and I mean everyone.
-Don't we all just LOVE and accepting ape village?
-They didn't care as long as you two were happy.
