Harris vs Trump?

I’m currently living in a European country. In a place where our parliament isn’t any better than the American one.

Italy is so far away from the US and we don’t realise it.

Italians worry more about Trump winning the elections instead of actually using those dry freaking balls to fight against Italian injustice towards women, immigrants or going against the freaking antique and useless rules that dictate us what to do and what to do in the XXI century. The Italian population submits to the disgusting scholastic system and the professional one at that too. Economy is degenerated to a certain extent that I don’t know how to describe it.

Italians never vote, and the few that actually do, they vote for the wrong ones who have promised to these people lying to them, while looking at their eyes.

And then they start complaining about it. Knowing that they fucked up. And start blaming immigrants and honest faithful people who are way better than these scums.

How can a population be so stupid and dumb?

They are ignorant people. They don’t know anything.

And still, with this recurring issue, they criticise the politics of another state which is far FAR away from them, without having a single care in the world about fighting for themselves against their OWN country.

Yes. Trump won the elections.

And so what?

Do you Italian human, think that you are going to be affected by this choice?

How could you ever think that you can fix something that doesn’t even belong to you?

Italy. Mind your own fucking business. Stop being racist and medieval.

And start treating your own immigrants as HIMAN BEINGS and after that you are allowed to criticize American Politics and population.

Because you are hypocrites. Pathetic beings. With antique and pretty humiliating mentality. Really conservative.

You cannot judge anyone if you still commit sins. You, catholic population who are so devoted to their churches, please start opening your perspectives to something different from your own personal life and dedicate yourselves more to what’s happening in your country.

Stop fucking talking about other countries. Mind your own business.

The Date Is Saturday, January 18th, 2025. Time: 17:11 Eastern Standard Time. Four Hundred Milligrams

The date is Saturday, January 18th, 2025. Time: 17:11 Eastern Standard Time. Four Hundred milligrams diphenhydramine, 25mg a pink. 4 = 100 milligram, this is 16 antihistamine pill, I have Yet to consume, I have a tiring weight on my body und mind, it is only 2 hours past 3pm. I am going to watch the movie "Trainspotting" in the basement of my home in the boring Amerikan state which I have been born and trapped unto. I am debating another four, just to round up to twenty, but I am unsure. 21%.. 20%. 17:17. I Havent taken it yet. The headaches and the bothering when I even simply move my eyes, it feels as If i am already undee the influence. It's cold, the fuckin' winter season, and I sweat and burn. The first time, I couldn't even be bothered to count the millies and count the amounts, I mean seriously, how truly depressing is that. Now I'm only pretending that anything I do actually covers up the fact that I am actively and knowingly misusing these things. Maybe it does make it better, to be noting and such but... end of day, It is for the bore of life As I know it. I dont know..

4mg clorpheniramine, 525mg diphenhydramine, and if I so need, some acetaminophen / paracetamol in case this headache gets worse, i cant recsll the exact countagw and Im not getting the bottle. Genuinely, i will not take them If i do not generally feel the need, whether or Not I will keep up to date through journaling events, whether on tumblr or in document, I cannot say. Movie takes priority.

"Events Come And Go Like Waves Of A Fever. We - And The Journalists - Live In A State Of Continual Delirium,

"Events come and go like waves of a fever. We - and the journalists - live in a state of continual delirium, constantly waiting for the next news event to loom out of the fog - and then disappear again, unexplained. And the formats - in news and documentaries - have become so rigid and repetitive that the audiences never really look at them.” - Adam Curtis http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/adamcurtis

Unbiased journalism is not pretending both sides are equally valid. Unbiased journalism is reporting the facts even if those facts include that one side is irredeemably awful. False neutrality is propaganda.

I don’t think some people realize this is a critique lmao. I love the description of the woman imagining she’s driving on the road it really highlights the fleeting/unstable feeling she’s trying to capture and how the generation’s youth finds comfort in it 😌

A woman drives fast along the California freeway with the radio screaming, delirious with grief. She does this every morning, dressing quickly in her Beverly Hills home so as to leave no time to think. Changing lanes is like a dance the way she's trained herself to do it, seamlessly and to the beat. She walks barefoot into gas stations, rinsing down pills with warm Coca-Cola and chatting mindlessly with the attendants. Her marriage is over. Her showbiz career is dead. Her child has been taken away. She is known to cry at parties or get carried home; close friends have come to believe she's insane. It is only on the freeway, when the music is loud, that she can forget what's become of her life. To fall asleep she imagines herself on the road: "The Hollywood to the San Bernardino and straight on out, past Barstow, past Baker, driving straight on into the hard white empty core of the world."

How chic the story sounds the way Joan Didion tells it in her 1970 novel Play It as It Lays. The woman is a trainwreck but a sharp and glamorous one, numbing out on pills as a critique of moral rot in 1960s Tinseltown. Books are great that way. Played out in real life in the year 2007, the tale loses its cool; now the woman is a punchline whose endless personal disasters keep a burgeoning new media economy afloat. It seemed that every week, or sometimes even every day, brought a hysterical new headline regarding the downward spiral of America's pop princess. ("HELP ME!" "INSANE!" "OUT OF CONTROL!") "We serialize Britney Spears. She's our President Bush," said TMZ founder Harvey Levin in a gruesome Rolling Stone cover story from early 2008, which began with Britney wailing in a San Fernando Valley shopping mall as a crowd closed around her with their Sidekick smartphones brandished. "I don't know who you think I am, bitch," 26-year-old Spears snarled to a shopgirl approaching for a photo. "But I'm not that person."

...

"Do you feel out of control in your life?" asks an interviewer off-screen in Britney: For the Record, the MTV documentary on Spears' "post-breakdown" life released at the end of 2008. That February, she had been placed against her will under the conservatorship of her father and former business manager, which would last for the next 13 years. "No, I don't feel it's out of control. I think it's too in control," Spears answers without pause. "There's no excitement. There's no passion. It's like Groundhog Day every day." The camera pulls in close as she wipes away her tears. "When did you last feel free?" the man asks later. "When I got to drive my car a lot," she wistfully replies. "I haven't been able to drive my car."

Reporting All Robots!

This FIRST Robotics season I joined forces with BlueDevil Press to live report on the Duluth Robotics Regional. BlueDevil Press is a collaboration of three teams to give an unbiased view of the robotics world to the community. As a part project mentor part alumna I helped edit articles, devise interview questions and follow beats. For the Duluth Regional we crafted a wrap around the Duluth News Tribune, submitted four articles to the paper and published eight articles on the BlueDevil Press blog. Some of the stories include...

"Starting ’em Young" - Kindergartners visit the FIRST Robotics Regional

"FIRST President Don Bossi Interview" - FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) President shares he visions for the future of robotics

"Phoenix Robotics" - A norm busting robotics team

"A “FEARless” Season" - Overcoming disaster, robot drove off the stage during community demo

Wrap around the Duluth News Tribune. Part program part “What is robotics?”

Following the competition I visited the Kindergarten class that took a field trip to watch the robots. We reviewed the robotics challenge reveal video one more time, then they were challenged to build a robot of their own out of odd materials. Students were given googly eyes (cameras), clothes pins (robot defense manipulators), pom poms (boulders), foam (robot structure),  construction paper (robot field) and pipe cleaners (aluminum rods). I expected the students to glue their creations down on provided construction paper but instead they made the robots 3-D! Folding and building their robots like a diorama recreating the scenes they saw at the competition. Every time I give a class a design challenge I am amazed by what they imagine!

WAYS TO GET INVOLVED

Watch FIRST robotics competitions live every Thursday to Saturday until May 1st, 2016.

Support your local FIRST Robotics team. Teams often have their own website and 501c3 so you can donate to them. Find them here.

Visit a classroom and read a book, teach some coding, talk about your career. Teachers will love the extra prep time and students love a fresh perspective.

The abysmal state of Korean journalism:

A couple of national newspapers (one of them being the largest in the country) published stories about some Trump campaign documentary, in which they say that Oliver Stone (filmmaker) was one of the associates in the situation room with Trump to watch Kamala Harris speak at DNC.

The problem is that this report was based on a couple of clips and some people tweeting about an old man in it resembling Oliver Stone. The individual they are referring to is most likely this guy.

There are many frustrating cases of bad journalism but this one stands out for me for some reasons. Regardless of what Oliver Stone actually believes nowadays, I could instantly recognize that the person in the screenshot was not him. Yet two paid journalists, including a guy who lives in Washington as a correspondent for the largest newspaper of a nation, wrote this!

Big Dreams and Daring Marked the Life of Stockton Rush ’84
Princeton Alumni Weekly
Friends are remembering Stockton “Tock” Rush ’84 as a dreamer and a doer, an intelligent innovator and rigorous scientist whose adventurous

I am already seeing slurry of eulogies from the media of the CEO who killed 4 people with himself in the imploded submarine that sugarcoat his gross negligence and disdain for safety regulations as “innovation” or being “adventurous”.

After all the Serious™️ condemnations of people mocking the victims for their opulence, if these hagiographies are their preferred alternative, they shouldn’t be surprised that people have such low trust in media.
