I’ve been working on this for awhile and I’m very proud. I’ve grown a lot as an artist and I’m not perfect but I love my art nonetheless.

sooooooo maybe her shadows are the wrong way. Maybe i painted her right next to another pink mermaid and had to move her and she only fit when i flipped her around. maybe.

another pink merm. I took like 3 times longer on this one than the others because I kept having to redo her face. Aaaaand then i forgot to erase the under-drawing of her hair. So she has ghost hair whoops
So, maybe just one more day with a basically identical pose

After doing the pose i though, 'gosh that's familiar, have i done this pose befo--' yesterday.
Litterally yesterday. Not even 'yesterday' in the sense that i've slept sense then. It's been like 6 hours. WEll.

Yesterday's mermaid was reaching towards nothing, so i thought i would give her a friend to reach for.
I once again started this on the 12th so it still counts

OKay, so i started this on the 7th might have finished it after midnight though
I had to switch from night shift to day shift to do overtime at my job, and now I have to switch back 😭
I can't even say RIP my sleep schedule, that bitch is the memory of the ghost of a resurrected corpse at this point. My sleep schedule is a revenant slowly chasing me down. Anyways! ANother pink mermaid! I'm actually really happy with this one
Day 5!
I was falling asleep the whole time painting, like, actually nodding off. Her color scheme is real cute but this isn't my best work :/ which is funny, because yesterday's turned out the best so far.

Did i draw these merms too big to fit 30 of them in the kelp forest, we'll fuckin see i guess
Also, 2 for 2 drawing the arms real weird. Maybe that's just mermaid anatomy in this universe. Mini merms have weird ass arms. World building! It helps them swim. Somehow.
Attempting Mermay! (It's been a few years since i participated so lets see how this goes)
I'm trying something different to make things easier on myself, so instead of a bunch of individual drawings of merms, I'm just going to do one big school of mini merms.
(i'll add in some texture and shadow to the kelp later, i need to go to bed!)
