My Little Pony: Magic Resistance/Anti-Magic
So I’ve wondered how magic could be combated/defended against in the world of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. There are guards, police and other forms of law enforcement, so they’re definitely needed to help keep the peace. So how do they apprehend unicorns or other magic wielding species that were criminals or threats of some sort? So I tried to recall and look up if there were any examples in the series. And I succeeded in finding a few examples.
The first example I recalled was from season 6, To Where and Back Again. Chrysalis’ throne that disabled all magic except changeling magic. Although this would hinder any soldiers or law enforcement that were non changeling magic wielders. It seems to be unlikely and rarely be used by non changeling.
The next example of magic suppression I could think of was the gate used in the Equestria Games to disable magic to prevent cheating. If there was or is a more portable or otherwise smaller scale version, I imagine it could be more easily used to disable magic wielders.
The next example I could think of were from season 3, where the Crystal Empire returns. Sombra uses his crystal magic to disable Shining Armor’s ability to use magic, and he uses his magic crystals to trap Twilight Sparkle when she was trying to get the Crystal Heart. The crystal cage she was trapped in prevented her from teleporting out.
The next example I could think of was from the My Little Pony Movie. The Storm King’s soldiers used shields, and possibly armor, that could resist and even to an extent, deflect magic. And when Twilight Sparkle was captured, she was put in a cage that prevented her magic from allowing her to escape. I forgot to draw the cage unfortunately. And we also see in the movie, captured ponies with muzzles. And at least one of the captured ponies, in addition to being muzzled, had a device on their horn that likely prevented them from using magic. However this device would probably only work on a strait horn that would fit in it, so it likely wouldn’t work on larger or smaller horns. And especially not curved or branched horns.
So I thought up and drew a cuffing device like a ring or bracelet that could be adjusted to account for horn size and would be unlikely to be hindered by the horn or antler shape. I imagine that the cuffs would be made out of a material the same or similar to what the Storm King’s army’s equipment and likely incorporated something similar to the magic disabling gates used in the Equestria Games. I drew up examples of how the cuffs would be used on different magic wielding species, straight horned unicorns, curved horned unicorns, goats/sheep, kirin, deer, and abada.
Headcanons about Pinkie Pie from MLP
I just saw a head canon of polyamorous Cadence (y’know… cause she’s the princess of love). I don’t know why this never occurred to me but it’s genius??? Poly Cadence for the win>>

I think it is time I made my statements about the ships I enjoy from gen 4.
Full disclaimer though, these are my personal opinions! Everyone is entitled to their own headcanons and ships ^^ if you don't like mine, that's chill. As long as yours aren't problematic or harmful, I won't judge cause we're all just here to have fun 🙏
Likely my most controversial, but I ship Twilight Sparkle and Flash Centry. I can't help it. Them being canonically flirtatious in eqg wrapped its claws around my throat in 6th grade and I've never been able to escape. A tragic love story for the books.
I also enjoy it because her brother, Shining Armor, is a royal guard and with Princess Cadence. Flash Centry is a royal guard. Twilight is a princess. Do you see my train of thought?Also Twilight with any of the other mane 6 feels strange to me, although I can't express why.
I am a Fluttercord shipper. Fluttershy makes Discord lunches AND has pillows of them together in her cottage. And you know damn well they made those pillows together during one of their tea parties. They're canon without being canon and no one will ever change my mind. Also the tragedy of discord living long after Fluttershy. What is joy? I wouldn't know.
I ship Appledash in FiM and Rarijack in eqg. But also I think Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity should just be poly in FiM.
Pinkie pie and Cheese Sandwich.
I like it when they're canon.
Honorable mentions:
Flutterdash (because I'm a sucker for the protector x the lover trope) and FlutterHugger because they're stoners.
And Pinkie Favor or Party Pie or whatever (Pinkie Pie x Party Favor) but that's literally just because they're cotton candy together and they're both party ponies. I like pink and blue combos.
Its very likely that I'm forgetting some of the ships I enjoy but meh. That is all.

Tree hugger and Fluttershy smoke together and no one can change my mind. Tree Hugger is a pothead and Fluttershy smokes occasionally.
Howdy! Would yall like some Rarity and Twilight study time?
This has nothing to do with anything, but y'all seen those comics with Discord being really 'old' with the long grey hair, at like a point well past Fluttershy's death. Well imagine instead if after her death, he asked Twilight to turn him back to stone for eternity because he wouldn't be able to live life without her. And then at some point during G3, they had heard about how much of a good person Discord was and unturned(?) him from stone and he has to deal with life without Fluttershy?
Ok so you know how in MLP Twilight gets all worried in lesson zero and worries that she’ll be sent back to “magic kindergarten”.
Well I don’t think she’s actually talking about kindergarten.
We see what a 5 year old looks like with Swetiebell here and that’s very different from Twilight’s class mates who look to be the CMC’s age. We also know that Twilight and her friends were all about the CMC’s ages when they got their cutiemarks. Thus I think that the term magic kindergarten is actually just slang to refer to the first year magic class and not actually a kindergarten.
I think this also makes since based on how magic develops, we know that Swetiebell’s age group is just developing their magic so I think that’s probably the age Clestia’s school starts accepting at since you could know if some pony was actually talented.

my maud pie headcanons, or more like a list of observations i made while watching the series. she is my favourite pony 💜. a little nervous to post it, but i will anyway, hope someone likes it
