i finally made my notion into a template (like 7 months later....)
it includes:
dashboard
trackers (daily, sleep, dreams, music, games, books & comics)
journal (personal + therapy)
mental health resources
meal planner & recipe book
friends, birthdays, & gifts
planning for the future: wishlist, bucket list, home, etc.
witchy stuff
& more~
it's meant for dark mode, but the notion site automatically shows it in light mode so forgive the glare. i did my best to include instructions on each page as well.

"Whatβs that notion app on your phone?"
Does anyone else use Notion to take notes and stay organized?
I thought I'd list a few tips of making Notion more fun to use as you study/journal! And perhaps some of it is already SUPER obvious so I'm sorry if this list ends up being uselessπ₯Ήπ.
I'll be using a mock-garden journal template to point out the tips!
1. Add emojis to your database titlesβor to everything!
Add emojis to everything! It can honestly make it more fun to look at, even the calendar above looks cuter (double click to zoom in)!
But if that is a little overwhelming, but you still want to use emojis in a βquaintβ way, you can make your database title a series of emojis. Like below!
I clicked the three dots, then clicked βedit database title.β I chose three tulips just to keep it on my garden-theme. So cute!Β π·π·π·

2. Utilize the calculate buttonβin case you didn't know how to!
Maybe you already new this but I struggled to figure this out at some point lol! At the very bottom of a table right after the "+ New page" row, if you hover you'll see the "calculate" row.
When you want to add/average/whatever just click the "More options"! Yay, math!

3. Solid colors as covers (from Unsplash) are very relaxing!
This one is super simple. I find that sometimes a solid cover for gallery pages is really nice to look at.
So Iβm prone to typing specific shades Iβm looking for into the Unsplash menu:
What I do is, I click a page, go to 'change cover' and choose Unspalsh. Then type in something like βpastel greenβ or βbaby pinkβ. If the options arenβt enough, you can go directly to unsplash.com and find a free one! Example below of lovely solid colors!

4. Easily change card sizes to adjust your galleries aesthetic
You can easily change card size to a just the aesthetic of your galleries ! Go to the little three dots at the top of your gallery (shown above), click layout, then card size! Now you can choose between S, M, L!
Bonus tip: if you go to βcard preview,β' still under layout, you can choose what will be displayed on the front of your cards.
In the above example, I chose βpage contentβ 'cuz all the bullet points and todo lists looked so neat! Hehe! But you can choose 'page cover' if you have a fun image/color.

although they might just as well be without a meaning.
A shell.Or not?
A wall.Or not?
Ensuring the groundwork behind every action should be the first priority.
None can be commenced whenever it is missing the meaning that should be conveyed.
However fundamental I regard this notion to be,not many do so nowadays.
Therefore I am left wandering about whether the meaning I see is real or made-up by my own beliefs,thoughts and needs.
Humans can be rather imaginative when it comes to deciphering the smallest of actions.
Nothing is almost ever delivered in its integrity,
May it be for fear of giving away the true meaning and reason they formed in their minds;
Or for a specifically intended reason,which,for all intents and purposes,is intangible.
Day 6/60 - Itβs Monday again!
Hey guys! I took the weekend off, went on some walks and just relaxed a bitπ
Today I updated my Notion, adding all the tasks I have to doβ¨π₯°
I also managed to read half a chapter of my social psychology book, plan an essay that is due in a few days and write some summaries for previous chapters I have read!π All of it took me around 3 hours. Iβm really proud of myself that I studied that much todayβ¨π₯°

Soooo I have a test tomorrow, my project is due soon, and my head hurts and overall I don't feel that well⦠That being said, I have made a Notion dashboard! I was inspired by work by a looot of people here, so I wanted to give a try too!
And I have to be honest⦠It's waaay more practical than i initially thought! I am genuinely excited to use it as a hub for anything that interests me, and I can see myself using this for a loong time! Here is how it turned out:
