It isn't about yaoi or yuri, its about trans stories getting told through whatever means people want to tell them, and people respecting that.
Everyone has different opinions and Tumblr is a much better place when you interact with those you enjoy the content of instead of to hate on it. There's why we have fandom etiquette in the first place.
Many trans men - myself included - one day identified as cis lesbians, there's nothing wrong with identifying with a character and wanting to see a little bit of yourself in a story you love. It doesn't make caitvi any less, in fact it shows that the story is so beautiful to them more people wanted to see themselves in it.
Men can't be lesbians ok, sure, but a man can have been a lesbian or could become one.
Both things can be true.
Trans people get fewer characters and less story variety, just ship and let ship instead of sending people hate for having their own.
