everyday i face the question as to whether or not i should make my own inumaki smau
Hi hello!! If you're up for doing requests can you do some headcannons where Toge asks reader out?? 🤗
No worries if you aren't taking requests yet 🫶
How About It?
📢 | Wherein the all-known Inumaki Toge confesses to gn!reader but has many struggles! How would things go? How will things end?
Inumaki Toge x Gn!Reader ! Reader is implied very quiet :)
🔊 | Toge's not the type of person to fall in love easily. That part was true; not only would it be hard to communicate with him, but he himself thinks it'll be a burden to love someone like him, thus, he'd always avoid truly "liking" someone.
Well that part changed when a particular sorcerer came by. They were quiet, much like him. They shown interest and affection in many small things and this further proved to Toge that love doesn't have to be spoken out loud. This gave Toge the courage to love someone despite his Curse Technique and open up, inevitably expressing his feelings.
Headcanons !
🎧 | As much as Toge love's speaking through texts, he won't actually confess through online communication. He has class lol
🎧 | Though even if he DID have class, he was in a predicament. He can't spout "tuna tuna" or "salmon" now can he? This brought Toge to search online and find some tips and tricks.
🎧 | Toge would most probably prepare a letter-- just a simple letter, he'd absolutely pour out his heart and express whatever he felt. He saw some people confess through letters so he thought about this and it was the best option for him.
🎧 | Toge would also probably prepare something hand-crafted if you're allergic to flowers or don't like flowers in general. Or he'd get those book bouquets or something related to that
🎧 | Since you were someone like him, he'd also probably make a playlist that reminds him of you BUT he printed it and placed it on his journal.
🎧 | Speaking of journals, Toge even made a whole journal about his favorite experiences about you, his favorite feature of you etc. In the journal, there was also a mini gallery of you and Toge together, candid photos of the both of you either separately or together.
🎧 | The day he had to give it though? Bless his heart. He doesn't blush often but when he does you can vaguely see a red tint around his cheeks. Though it was always covered so you can't even tease.
🎧 | He ushered you to come with him with a hurried "tuna mayo!" and pulled you away from the rest of the students you were trying to bond with. You were genuinely confused but when you saw the items and the very large "pls go out with me" note, you understood.
CONCLUDED!
A/N : Super super fun! Thank you for the request ^^ Hopefully you enjoyed doing this as much as I did writing this portion :)) Till next time, folks!!
MASTERLIST
JJK Masterlist here!
Content/Warnings: Very minor manga reference on Gojo’s part.
Note: I had a field trip with Inumaki’s BAHAHA. This was also my first ever JJK-related writing from months ago like in late May/early June. And I’ve just completed this, so I hope you all enjoy it! I was gonna write a part for Sukuna, but idk :/ He’d just slaughter you with his hands if his technique doesn’t work so…
I appreciate every piece of feedback! Thank you for reading <3

Inukami Toge:
The first time Toge Inumaki used his cursed technique on you was at the Goodwill Exchange Event when he commanded you, Fushiguro, and Kamo to run away from that growing tree stump that came from the special-grade curse, Hanami.
For a split second, both boys were hypnotized at Toge’s command before following through.
You, on the other hand, didn’t feel any different or inclined to follow his words.
But since running away is the obvious solution, you flee with the three boys to safer grounds.
After the whole battle, you visit your very exhausted friend in the recovery room, who looked like he could use some company.
“You were very brave, Toge.” You doted, letting him rest his head on your shoulder. Even as best friends, you and Toge would always keep a natural distance. But since he’s feeling particularly exhausted, that opened up the barrier to his usually controlled clinginess. His energy must be at an all-time low since you never recalled his head ever being so heavy.
He hummed and gave a measly thumbs up, acknowledging your compliment.
It pained you to see him so weak. With multiple bottles of empty cough syrup and cough drop wrappers lying on the bedside tables, you worry that he might go overboard with the consumption. Not much on the cough drops, but the cough syrup can become very dangerous. But considering how much he has taken, his throat must’ve been on fire. Even now, he looks far from comfortable. If you were to offer him another bottle, he’d most likely gulp it down like water.
It didn’t take too long until he started to show discomfort in his throat again. He started to clear his throat, relying on the vibrations to scratch and relieve the never-ending itch. Shutting his eyes, your friend pointed at the bedside table, gesturally asking to hand him a bottle or cough drop. When you scanned for the products there’s not a single bit of the candy nor the syrup.
“Toge, there’s only water,” you sighed in pity, grabbing the container for him. Bringing the tip to his marked lips, you slowly tilted the cup until the liquid finally reached him. “Here.”
He drank as much as he could, but it only provided very little relief. Soon after, he started to whine at the pain and it’s like using a single hose to take down a forest fire. You were getting flustered due to not being able to do anything.
“I know, Toge, I know.” You cooed, reaching out for his hand and gave a tight squeeze. Staring at the cascading sunset through the window, you pondered if you could make it to the store on time.
“There’s still some sunlight left. Do you want me to get you some more cough drops and syrup? Probably not syrup since you’ve already consumed such an unhealthy amount…” You mumbled, impressed at how Toge isn’t already knocked out by the medicine. “Or do you want me to make you tea?”
But the gifted sorcerer only shook his head, putting even more pressure against your shoulder, his motion to make you stay with him. Even if you can’t do much, your presence alone provides more relief than 10 bottles of cough syrup.
Sighing at your stubborn best friend clinging onto you, you smiled and poked his side. “What am I going to do with you, Toge?”
Reacting to your sudden touch, he jerked to his side, lips fighting to not curve up. Amused and bewildered, your eyes sparkled at the sudden idea. With both of your hands in action, you started to tickle Toge’s sides, hoping that this feeling will combat his throat pain, even if it’s temporary.
He yelped and kicked his legs, trying to get away from you. Small giggles escaped his lips, which sounded like music to your ears. It is more pleasurable in comparison to his painful cries and whines. Not wanting to continue, Toge had to pull out his technique in order to get you to,
“S-Stop!” He commanded, chuckling at your childish actions.
Immediately, he expected you to pull away and for the tickling sensation to cease. However, your lips curved to a mischievous smile and pursued to tickle him even more.
“No.”
Forgetting that this was an uncommon impossible phenomenon, you continued to laugh along while Toge’s purple hues contracted in shock. He then grabbed your wrist, forcing you to stop your actions.
“Okay, okay! Sorry dude.” Your free hand rose to the air in defeat, giggling. But playfulness faded into concern when you spotted Toge staring straight down at your hand, unwavering. “What’s wrong?”
‘What’s wrong? What do you mean what’s wrong?’ The platinum-haired boy panicked in his mind. You didn’t follow his orders. And no matter who it is, any person who he projected his technique onto should’ve obeyed. He even got Gojo-sensei to leave you, him, and Yuuta alone one time, though it gave him an itchy throat for an entire day.
The point is, why didn’t his technique work on you? Besides running away from that nature-like curse, he never dared applied his ability to you before. Did you run away with Kamo and Fushiguro because you were commanded to or did you run away because it was the most logical thing to do?
Hesitantly, Toge commanded. “Tickle me.”
He read your eyes, waiting for you to get into that hypnotic state due to his words. But instead, you flashed him wriggled eyebrows and a tilt to the side.
“Huh? You just told me to stop To- oh,” your expression widened, realizing where Inumaki was getting at. You’ve disobeyed his command once more.
Toge grunted, confused at his faltering technique. Was it because of exhaustion? Did he overdo it, that’s why it wouldn’t work on you? But he never recalled his ability to not work.
Just in time, there was pounding on the door, breaking the confusing atmosphere. Flustered, you told whoever’s waiting to come in.
The visitors were revealed to be Maki and Fushiguro, who were still bandaged up from earlier’s fight.
“Uhh, should you guys even be up right now,” you stated, concerned. Maki with a plastic bag in hand walked like she never participated in the fight while her junior held a metal thermostat and looked like he was dragged into this.
“I’m tougher than you think, Y/n,” Maki scoffed proudly, grabbing the bottom of the bag and flipping it over. The items inside spilled out, revealing to be 4 bags of cough drops, each coming from a different flavor.
“They ran out of cough syrup, Inumaki.” She then proceeded to look sourly at the empty bottles on the nightstand. “On second thought, thank God they did. You probably hogged all the supplies already, didn’t you?”
“Okaka!” Toge immediately sat up, declining the assumption. But he immediately started clearing his itching throat, a consequence of speaking too loudly. Defeated, he threw his head back at the wooden headboard.
Maki’s eyes softened in pity for her classmate. The other former Zen’in on the other hand gave the tea-filled thermostat to his male senpai.
Still distraught over his failed ability, Toge looked at both Fushiguro and Maki who were conversing with you. He wondered if the problem was you or his technique. He wondered if…
“Go away,” Inumaki commanded, causing the three guests to straighten their backs. So it does work. With your reaction, he thought that it would finally work on you. While Maki and Fushiguro looked hypnotized and turned their heels, you turned to your Toge, wide-eyed.
“Why did you tell us to go away?” You questioned. Turns out, you were just surprised at his action. The burning itch in Toge’s throat was no longer his priority. Before Maki and Fushiguro can realize what’s going on, Toge told them to,
“Stop.”
And they did. Except for this time, Maki darts back with an annoyed expression.
“The hell is that for?!”
Toge blinked up at her, Fushiguro scratching the back of his head. But his eyes darted to you, who seemed unfazed at his command.
“Y/N-senpai… Why didn’t Inumaki-senpai’s technique work on you?”
Maki pieced it together shortly after realizing that you still sat next to the semi-grade 1 sorcerer. She and Megumi stared bewildered. “Yeah, why aren’t you affected?”
After seeing Maki and Megumi, Toge’s words still carry their power. Just for some odd reason, you were an exception.
You shrugged, just as lost as they are. “I don’t know. Toge and I just figured this out right before you both came in. Initially, I thought it was because he might’ve lost some power because he overexerted himself earlier. However, I don’t think that’s the case.”
After referring to what just happened, you looked down at your own hands, wondering if you held anything that made you resist Toge’s enchanting ability. A finger that’s not yours poked your cheek and you turned to face the owner.
“Takana,” he indicated his confusion with knitted brows.
Forcing yourself to smile, you replied with reassurance, “I’m puzzled too, dude. But we’ll figure this out.”
A week later, you and Toge worked closely together with Gojo. Even elders of the Inumaki family visited to witness this strange circumstance. A sorcerer who’s able to withstand a cursed speech user’s technique, a very powerful ability.
But the investigation quickly came to a close, as Gojo and the elders couldn’t find any lead to an answer. According to your teacher, there’s no outstanding change to your cursed energy, and the elders concluded that they’ll continue to monitor you and Toge at a distance since they’re very fascinated by the news.
Most of the time, Toge would still speak to you in his regular onigiri language, so he won’t slip off of his habit whenever he encounters other people. But on a rare occasion, he wouldn’t mind setting his guard down if it’s just the two of you.
“Come here!” He attempted to command, chasing after you in his dorm.
“Hell no!” You laughed, bouncing from his bed and running in the opposite direction. The Inumaki elders came back again yesterday to investigate you and their gifted family member- this time, with a present. One of Toge’s favorite aunts brought a photo album, containing baby pictures of him and showed it off to you when he wasn’t around.
Asking if you could borrow it, she gladly obliged and the following day, you surprised your classmate with the hefty book. And not much to your surprise, his words were just as threatening as they are in his text messages.
“If you don’t give me that, I’m going to kill you,” he panted, out of breath. He tried telling you to give the album back, drop it, and even forget the photos. But his curseless words nipped at him harder than his cursed ones ever did. Obviously, you didn’t comply as you continued to scan every single photograph of baby Toge.
“Ooh, sharp tongue you got there, Toge,” you teased, stopping. “You looked so cute, why would you be embarrassed about this?”
“Looked?” He repeated, taken back by your double-edged compliment. “Really, Y/n? Looked?”
You laughed once more, trying to pry more words from him. Though he’s already naturally talkative, you could never get used to the sound of his voice forming normal sentences. You wished that one day, Toge will have complete control over his own powers, so he could finally speak normally with everyone. This other playful side of him could only be seen through his witty remarks.
To Toge, it’s refreshing that he finally gets to speak freely to one person without any backlash or consequence and that person happens to be you, his best friend. It really was a hassle to pull out his phone or scramble for a piece of paper and pencil just to communicate. Because of your resistance, your already close friendship is closer than ever before.
After seeing how tired Toge is, you walked up closer to him, hugging the album tightly.
“Game over?”
Ha. That’s what he wanted you to think.
After successfully hooking you, he reeled you in by tackling you on his bed, wrestling for the leather album. The downside of you disobeying his orders forces Toge to find other ways to get what he wants. This time, he tried the physical approach.
“Give me the photo album!” He chuckled loudly after seeing you death gripping the book.
“Neve-” The sound of the door opening interrupted your refusal.
Outside was Panda and Maki, approaching you and the sorcerer in a hypnotic state. Well, mainly the album.
“Oops…”
Toge just needed to remember that he can’t be too loud, since there are other people close by.

Mahito:
You were the other first-grade sorcerer that tagged along with Itadori and Nanami.
After confronting a very mournful Yuji, you warned him that he needed to put his emotions aside because the biggest threat is still at hand.
That blue-haired stitched curse was absolutely toying with you sorcerers.
You saw how his technique works, seeing how he was able to distort students and faculty at the school.
It pissed you off, seeing how this was all a game to him.
When you thought that he was distracted, you struck at him, only to be trapped into his arms.
Though you could’ve protected yourself with your cursed energy, it was already too late.
He hollered a sinister laugh as his hand touched where your heart’s located, performing his Idle Transfiguration technique.
“Time to say your goodbyes, boys!” He threatened a frantic Nanami and Itadori.
But to his surprise, your soul didn’t shift or distort.
“Hmm?” Mahito reacted curiously, only to let go of you after dodging the blond sorcerer.
“L/n-san, are you okay?” Itadori asked worryingly after you skidded right next to him.
Your hands traveled around the pivotal parts of your body, feeling for any distortion. Everything was intact and you were unharmed. In fact, you felt perfectly fine and completely pain-free.
“Yeah, I am.” You replied, dusting the dirt off your uniform.
The special-grade curse eyed you with confusion and fascination.
‘How come it didn’t work?’ he questioned, looking at the palm of his hand. He felt the warmth of your soul, but there was something blocking him from being able to touch it.
“Hey!” He called out, grabbing your attention. “Do you know why I can’t disfigure your soul?”
There’s no hostility in his voice nor expression. He truly sounded curious, as if he’s asking for help. But he is impressed since he never saw a person resist his very powerful and fatal ability. You looked pristine, stronger than ever. And more pissed, because a curse like him had put his disgusting hands on you. Though he couldn’t affect you, he saw how your soul fired brightly in anger.
You squinted your eyes, ignoring his question. Nanami was right, this thing you’re fighting was a newly formed curse. He’s still learning his abilities.
“L/n-san, are you sure you aren’t hurt?” the other grade 1 sorcerer asked when he landed on his feet next to you after another failed attempt of slaying Mahito. He recalled the first time he embarked with the curse down in the sewers. Even when he barricaded himself with his own cursed energy, the blue-haired thing was able to cause serious damage.
“Yeah, I’m not hurt at all,” you reassured, the flow of your cursed energy forming a sword in your hand. “Tell me where to hit.”
Following Nanami’s instructions, you managed to hit Mahito at a pivotal point while he struck another. Itadori was the cherry on top by jumping on the curse with his divergent fists. As the three of you ganged up on Mahito, he thought
‘What refreshing inspiration! There’s so much more to learn! Sukuna’s vessel and a sorcerer that could defy my abilities- a soul that could be untouched! I’m going to have fun with them. But first, I need to take care of the other one first. Hmm, I bet I could do it now.’
His eyes rolled back and his mouth opened wide. Black smoke crowded around his body, as two tiny pairs of hands formed inside his mouth, creating symbols.
Before you three could react, it was too late.
“Domain expansion: Self-Embodiment of Perfection!”

Fushiguro Megumi
You were a new student who just transferred from Kyoto.
Because individual battles were canceled in the last exchange event, you were excited to go toe-to-toe with Fushiguro in this training battle.
Especially when you saw his technique in action at the event.
And heard stories from Noritoshi
Befriending Megumi, you’ve also befriended his divine dog.
Cutting to the chase, the first and second years (plus Gojo) watched the fight, which took place at the training field.
Your cursed technique is to wrap cursed energy around your opponents, temporarily paralyzing them and/or shocking them.
You were not emotionally ready to pull this trick on Megumi’s shikigamis though.
So when the battle started, Megumi summoned Totality thinking that he’ll be at an advantage, since you favored his 4-legged companion.
Like everyone, he expected a grueling duel, but what he didn’t expect was…
How Totality immediately sat down before you.
“Huh?!” Aside from you and your opponent, surprised gasps ushered around the spectators. Even the beloved Gojo-sensei had to pull down his blindfold as if his already keen eyes through the fabric betrayed him.
The monstrous, 4-legged, black and white beast who sprinted towards you, instantly halted once he was a few feet away and sat down. His tongue stuck out as if he was waiting for YOU to give him instructions.
“Uhhhh,” you voiced out, arms creating an ‘X’ sign. You were getting ready to use your technique and in order to release it, you had to straighten your arms, which you clearly hadn’t done.
Megumi stared dumbfounded at the sight. He ordered his dog to strike. Maybe just enough to pin you down, but he still commanded him to attack. Instead, he witnessed his closest shadow companion disobey his words for the first time ever.
Perhaps it has to do with you being so close to the creature? It’s an odd theory, but it’s the closest explanation that makes the most possible sense. The boy took you being distracted as an advantage by summoning his next shikigami, Nue. And before you could even process it, you were snapped out of your own trance by the sounds of electricity, flowing through the bird’s wings up in the sky.
Who’s going to get paralyzed first, you or the winged animal?
Well, the answer is neither.
The purple electricity around Nue’s wings disappeared and its fast movement slowed. Instead of flying straight down at you, the bird circled around the air, slowly descending until it landed next to the other shadow creature. It tucked its wings beneath him before facing you. Just like Totality, it submitted by sitting down, its clawed feet hidden underneath his feathers.
“What the hell is that?!” Nobara exclaimed at the sidelines.
“It looked like Fushiguro’s shikigamis aren’t attacking Y/n,” Itadori stated the obvious, eyes glued to the two creatures.
Annoyed, the female first-year turned next to him. “That wasn’t a literal question, you idiot!”
Meanwhile, the dark, spiky-haired boy looked at dismay as another familiar of his heeled in front of you. As his theory crumbled down, he scolded, “Oi! I told you both to attack!”
But the pair didn’t listen to their frustrated master. Instead, the Nue’s yellow eyes fluttered while Totality wagged his tail. He even had his tongue sticking out.
Your emotions weren’t too different from their summoner’s. You were just as flustered and confused as Megumi since every tamed animal should’ve listened to his commands. But so far, it looked like you were the one that tamed them.
Your eyes peered at Megumi, no longer as an opponent, but as a friend. He didn’t know what to do. The curse he was blessed with is now working against him. With sympathy, you called out to your white-haired mentor with cupped hands around your mouth.
“Can we take a time out?”
“Nope!” Gojo echoed back, an amused smile forming on his face. “No timeouts until we have a winner!”
You threw your head back, clicking your teeth at the oblivious adult. Though you were the one that requested it, it was more for Megumi’s sake than yours. Maybe he’s just tired and he couldn’t control his shikigamis? Is that even a thing?
Checking up on the other player on the battlefield, Megumi had his hands ready, summoning another shadow creature. Eyebrows furrowed in concentration, the sound of an elephant’s trumpet suddenly rang in the air. Many feet in front of you is the famous Max Elephant that Noritoshi encountered at the Exchange Event.
Its beautiful symbols marked around its pink skin amazed you. When the elephant stomped its feet wildly on the floor and waved its horn wildly, you thought that things went back to the way it's supposed to. The creature looked like it was craving a fight.
‘Finally’ You thought giddily, crossing your arms once more. ‘An actual battle.’
Ha. You thought.
The animal laid down on its belly, right next to Nue after it approached you. Now there were three familiars that stopped their attacks. Still surprised, you wanted to jokingly accuse Megumi of “going easy” on you. But that would’ve humiliated him even more instead of lightening the mood.
After Max Elephant, then came the Toad and the swarm of dozens of rabbits. Though the purpose of rabbits wasn't for attacking, Megumi pulled them out as a last resort option and also an experiment. And as expected, they halted in a large group behind the heeded Toad, ignoring their master’s instruction to run you over. Megumi had no choice but to throw in his white flag- out of moves and with zero answers to explain this strange phenomenon.
You won the anticipated fight by doing absolutely nothing.
-----
“Honestly Megumi, I literally have no explanation as to why your shikigamis won’t attack me.” You sat next to him on the bench, offering a soda from a nearby vending machine.
While the students and Gojo were in an uproar about your “fight,” Megumi stayed quiet after returning all of his familiars. Unable to read his expression, you didn’t know if he was angry, frustrated, being analytical, or all three. Why did they submit to you? What did you have that made you resist them from attacking?
You already have a curse technique of your own, so it’s impossible for you to carry a variant of the 10 shadows technique. Also, you didn’t derive from the big Zen’in clan, so there’s no way.
When Gojo-sensei was teasing Megumi relentlessly about what happened, the boy summoned Totality, the only living thing who actually likes the man, and ordered him to attack the white-haired sorcerer. Knowing that the dog favored his master’s mentor, Megumi wondered if he’ll pull the same stunt.
However, orders were orders and Totality attempted to pounce on Gojo. If it weren’t for his infinity, the teacher would be down on the ground and Megumi would probably be expelled. And Gojo’s feelings would be really hurt.
So this is just a you thing. In this unique situation, you are the only person who is able to resist Megumi’s shikigamis. Even they wouldn’t submit to the strongest sorcerer alive.
“I’m the same as you,” the boy replied, taking the can off your hands. It’s your non-verbal way of an apology, in case you’ve somehow infuriated Megumi. However, his voice is calm and exhausted, not showing any sign of remorse or anger. He’s either not mad at you or he’s just really good at hiding it.
Unable to hold it in anymore, you asked the burning question. “Are you mad at me?”
That earned a confused glare from Megumi, who looked at you as if you asked something really stupid. “No. Why would I?”
Sensing the earnestness in his face, you shrugged, relieved. “For some reason, your shikigamis betray your orders because of me. Even though I don’t have an answer to why you have the right to be upset.”
Your classmate stayed silent, his finger toying with the metallic lid. You wondered what’s going on inside his head. Even though you’ve known the sorcerer for months, one thing about him is that he is very unreadable. Thanks to his naturally stoic expression, it’s almost impossible to note whether he’s upset or neutral. But finally being able to know Megumi’s mood is a trait that would develop as you grow closer to him.
Hesitantly, you glanced at him once more, only to see him finalizing his emotion with a sly grin. With knitted brows, you worriedly questioned, “Oi, what’s with that kind of smile?”
Getting caught off guard, Megumi blinked, the tips of his ears turning pink. “Gojo-sensei will probably have us working closely from now on since he’s just as curious as we are.”
You blinked back, not understanding the memo. That’s not something that the boy would typically smile at.
“And?”
With a soft voice and flushed face, he replied. “I’m just looking forward to it, that’s all.”

Gojo Satoru:
LMFAO
Yes he’s surprised
But if anything, he’s more impressed like Mahito.
He first reacted by stating a common verbal sentence such as, “How did you do that?”
Then his ego deflated tremendously.
The untouchable sorcerer is now… touchable?
He likes to play this prank on sorcerers who are spiteful enough to strike him.
Sorcerers being: Utahime, Nobara, Maki, and now, you.
Being a faculty member from the Jujutsu Tech in Kyoto, you barely see the famed Gojo Satoru/ idiot.
Only on the annual exchange events, that’s when you reunite with your former classmate.
As much as he has his fun with Utahime throwing things at him, he would always try and rile you up, since you never dared attempt to hit him.
Until now.
Kyoto lost the baseball game and Gojo wouldn’t stop bringing that up afterward when everyone was cleaning up the field.
Even though he showcased his immature sportsmanship to get a reaction out of you and Utahime, your students overheard his loud-ass comment.
While most of the Kyoto students disregarded his heckling, Miwa was pretty hurt and you knew that it's because she idolized Gojo so much.
Having enough of this and his other bullshit, you picked up a baseball bat, transferred all your cursed energy to the tool, and struck at his torso.
“Can you stop being a child for once?!”
You expected to hit his infinity, which is why you protected the bat with as much cursed energy as possible, so it could absorb the rebound.
But what no one expected was a loud, painful grunt from the white-haired sorcerer with his sunglasses and ass on the dirt ground.
The other Kyoto teacher and all the students stood, shocked.
Seeing Gojo Satoru on the floor, clutching his side, was a once-in-a-lifetime sight.
So Inumaki took a picture because it’s definitely something to remember and potential blackmail.
Even though Gojo seems outwardly chill about it, don't tell him I told you that you've managed to hurt his feelings LOL
He's known as the strongest and you've destroyed his ego, the second strongest barrier after his infinity.
It's even more embarrassing to him since this happened in front of his students, teens who's supposed to look up at him as a prime example of power and strength.
And a bat knocked him down LOL
But of course, he wouldn't show that. He has to be a big boy in some way.
“Oh my God,” you stated, throwing the wooden bat away. “I’m so sorry, I didn’t know that you had your infinity off.”
You offered a hand to help him up only to have Gojo wave it off. He picked himself off the ground and clutched his side.
“I didn’t have it off. How did you do that?” he mumbled with a wince. He tried to stand straight but couldn’t. The man blinked a few times in the sky, a little disoriented at the new feeling of getting hit, especially by a strong force. Switching off her personal feelings towards her junior, Utahime ran up next to you.
“I’m going to call Shoko, or is it easier if you could just teleport there?” She asked and just like with you, Gojo just waved her off with a wide smile.
“No, no. There’s no need. I’m using my reverse curse technique on myself, so I’ll be good in no time!”
Your guilt-filled mind has slowed down momentarily, thanking whoever’s up there that Gojo was granted the ability to heal himself. That hit was meant for the strongest, so it would’ve been fatal if someone took the blow for him.
All the students circled around the 28-year-old, bombarding him with questions. Even though he has the reputation of his own students not respecting him, they were generated with worry over their teacher.
“Sensei, what happened?” Yuji pushed to the front.
“I still think you need to see Dr. Ieiri,” Megumi complied.
“Shake!” Toge agreed, shaking his head.
“Kids, kids, relax!” Gojo beamed, soaking in the sudden attention. “I told you, I’ll be okay. I just need to walk it off.”
“L/N-san made a pretty big hit Satoru,” Maki reasoned and you cringed at the calling of your name. “We’ll clean up everything here (as if Gojo would clean up regardless). Just go.”
The bright, blue-eyed sorcerer took Maki’s words into accountability. Being the student who arguably doesn’t respect Gojo the most, her way of urging him to go to the infirmary shows how secretly worried they all are. After all, seeing their teacher knocked down is both a treat and eye opening. So the great Gojo Satoru isn’t completely invulnerable at all?
Not wanting to cause any more concern, Gojo sighed. “Okay, okay. I guess I’ll go. But you come with me.” He sets his attention onto you, his orbs piercing into yours.
Feeling obligated, you replied with a haste nod. “Yes, of course.”
When you both exited the field, Principal Gakuganji and Yaga were conversing outside. The latter noticed his subordinate’s tight walk and discomfort.
“Son, you okay?” Yaga offered and Gojo’s expression tightened, annoyed that this interaction had to be with one of the elders. “You’re movin’ a little stiff.”
“Of course I am!” He stuffed his hands into his pockets. You turned, about to tell the two principals the earlier incident. However, Gojo caught on and interrupted before you could even start. If Principal Geezer finds out that you were able to injure Satoru, the elders could transform you as their greatest weapon, a vulnerable pawn against him. The sorcerer believes that Utahime knows that too, so he trusts her to conceal the event from him.
“Y/n and I just need to do something urgently!”
It’s unsure if he intentionally implied the sexual innuendo, but you stared at him in disgust alongside a disturbing look from the two other men.
“It’s not what you think, perverts!” He called out with an obnoxious laugh earning a disapproving grunt from the elder. You glanced back apologetically as you both continued to walk to the infirmary.
A colony of ants blocked your path and while you followed the logical reason by walking over the trail, Satoru did the opposite by stepping on them. However, none of the insects were squished, meaning that his infinity isn’t defective.
The walk was silent, as you were too embarrassed and ashamed to even speak to Gojo. Aside from his staggered breathing and little winces at each step, he appeared to be normal and not at all upset. And that’s the scary part. The tables have turned and you might’ve pissed off the world’s strongest sorcerer.
When you both got to the infirmary, Shoko was lounging on her desk, reading a magazine. Looking up, she looked at you first. “What happened, Y/n? Are you injured?”
“Oh no, I’m not the one that’s injured,” you shook your head, earning a raised eyebrow from the doctor. Your thumb pointed at the white-haired man, who awkwardly raised his hand. “Er- Satoru is the one that’s injured.”
Shoko’s jaw dropped to the ground, never hearing her friend’s name and the term ‘injured’ in one sentence. Immediately, she got up and told him to sit on the examining bed.
-----
Her concern quickly turned to a roar of laughter. As nervous as you were about telling the story, she was amused at how you were able to hit the Tokyo teacher. She was even jealous that you did that. After confirming that he’s fine and explained how his self-healing technique saved his body from getting chopped in half, the three of you experimented.
Shoko punched and threw objects at Gojo, who all were blocked off by his technique. But with your fists, you felt his cotton button-up. His infinity can’t even stop your measly punch. Grabbing a pair of scissors, you aimed for him like how Shoko did, only to be stopped by the man.
“Woah, woah wait!” He flinched and threw his arms up. “I don’t think you should do that!”
And you put the instrument down, reading the slight fear in Satoru’s eyes. Huh, so this is what it’s like to be feared by the world’s greatest menace.
‘Not bad,’ you thought, satisfied.
After concluding that you were the only person who was able to resist Gojo’s infinity, Shoko left briefly to consult other business, leaving you and Satoru alone. You sat still, anxiously waiting for what’s to come. Satoru is more than able to leave as Shoko already did her part in aiding him, but he still sat in the bed in silence.
“Do you know why you were able to hit me?” Gojo spoke first, breaking the tension in the air.
You shook your head, guilt still flooding over you. “I don’t know and again I’m sorry. I put all my cursed energy into the bat to protect myself from the rebound force, but I never expected it to actually hit you.”
“Huh?” He frowned, pulling his head back. “Why are you saying sorry again? This was all an accident, right? Just don’t tell your boss, because he and the elders might conspire something against me and you’re going to be the main bait.”
You glanced on the floor, surprised at his sudden maturity. “Y-Yeah, sure.”
“Anyways, congrats! You’re the only person who is able to surpass my infinity! Well actually, there was another one,” he muttered, recalling an event that happened a little over a decade ago.
You shook your head at him, who balances a serious situation like this with playful commentary.
“What’s going to happen now?” You asked, completely lost about yourself. Satoru could easily look at you as a threat and if he wanted to stay safe, he could exterminate you right now. Like most sorcerers, you’re many levels below him, so this is a unique occurrence.
“We figure it out,” he shrugged, who seemed unusually relaxed. “But we’re going to keep this a secret between you, me, Shoko, and Utahime for now. We’ll tell the students that I was caught off guard and had my infinity off. So uh- don’t worry about it.”
That plan is to protect not only you, but his pride. No way can he ever face his students who knows that a wooden bat broke through his infinity. News would spread like wildfire and you'd become a legend. And the childish side of him can't accept that.
Another truth is that Satoru is just as freaked out as you are. Nah, he’s way more freaked out. You, surpassing HIS infinity? That carries the strength of an unbreakable rock? The only person who was able to do that was a thousand times stronger than you currently are. If you weren’t around, he’d be shitting his pants. With a dull pair of scissors, you had successfully intimidated the most powerful man on the planet.
But knowing the difference in power, he’s well aware that you still feel threatened by him, even though it should be the other way around. Since he doesn’t want to have two panicked people at once, he decided that he’ll take the upper card and be the calm one. He could fret all he wanted to Shoko later.
You nod, agreeing to his plan. It’s going to take some time to sink in, but you wanted answers on why you were able to break the impenetrable barrier, a technique that has been mastered to perfection. Is there a weak spot? Do you carry an ability that could counteract his? The solution is uncertain right now, but it’s going to be an interesting time. And to be honest, you were looking forward to this.
“Hey,” His foot lightly kicked your shin, intruding your thoughts. “Just to let you know, we’re going to be seeing each other a lot more because of this.”
You gulped, eyes widened in dismay at the major con.
You definitely aren’t that excited anymore.
