DekuShield Week Day 3!

Hello everyone!
Oh, how I remember the good ol’ days when I first saw the DekuShield Week post, and I followed the DekuShield Week Tumblr.
Now look where we are; day three- his/her heartbeat.
So anyways, ignoring my strangeness, hope you enjoy!
(Also, I didn’t quite know what this prompt was supposed to be, so I just pulled a le-ootaku and wrote the first things that came to mind)

Prompt 3- His/Her Heartbeat
Ba-dum! Ba-dum! Ba-dum!
Izuku trembled beneath his skin. He would make this the best day of her life, he was adamant about that.
Ba-dum! Ba-dum! Ba-dum!
Even the encouragement and support of Iida, Uraraka, and the rest of his classmates couldn’t help his sensation of... adrenaline? Sweat dotted his forehead, but he wiped it off with his sleeve.
Don’t look so unprofessional! He cursed, you’re going to look stupid!
Ba-dum! Ba-dum! Ba...
And there she was, in all her glory.
Drop-dead; stunning.
Melissa walked towards Izuku, a smile on her face- oh, goodness. How he adored that smile.
“Ready?”
Izuku grinned, “always.”
He took her by the hand and walked with her down the sidewalk. He knew just the spot, but he wouldn’t tell Melissa- Heavens no.
Minutes later, and this was the spot.
“Deku, why’d you bring me here?” Wondered Melissa, Izuku merely smiled.
“This was where we first met,” he explained, gazing at the roses and greenery neatly done around them. A grand elevation of steps was placed in front of them. “When I came here with All Might, you were on your pogo stick and leaped into his arms.”
“Oh! I remember that!” Beamed Melissa, her eyes sparkling. “But...”
Izuku glanced at her. “But?”
“But why come here now?”
Izuku smiled.
“Melissa Shield.”
He got down on one knee and pulled out a small, black box. Melissa visibly froze. This was the day he would make his goal come true.
Ba-dum! Ba-dum! Ba-dum!
“Will you marry me?”
Ba...
Dum...
Ba...
Dum...
Ba...
Dum...
“Izuku Midoriya.” Began Melissa, her voice trembling.
“This is the best day of my life...”

Did she say yes? Did she say no? Yes, obviously!
So, I probably didn’t do what I was supposed to do (as in, the fanfic prompt), but I’m honestly too tired to try any harder at this point.
But honestly? I actually kinda liked writing this one, it was pretty fun! I could just imagine Deku being all flustered and just... being a Deku...

Prompt 2- Role Swap AU
“Uncle Miiiiiiight!”
Melissa jumped back as a freckled boy leaped into All Might’s arms and into a bone-crushing hug.
“Ah, Izuku!” Laughed All Might, letting go of... Izuku. Strange, he seems too young to be All Might’s long lost friend, or maybe it’s his quirk that makes him look so young? Wondered Melissa, observing the fluffy-haired boy.
“I’m so glad you replied to my email!” Smiled Izuku, “mom definitley needs a break right now.” All Might nodded and gestured to Melissa.
“This is Melissa; Melissa, meet my friend’s son, Izuku.”
“Oh, that makes sense.” Realized Melissa- the answer to her own wonder.
“Hm? What does?” Asked Izuku, he cocked his head sideways, curious.
“Ah! Nothing!” Melissa took her hand out of her glove and invited Izuku to shake hands. “I’m Melissa Shield, first year studying at UA High!”
“Whoa, UA, huh?” Izuku shook Melissa’s hand eagerly. “You must be a real hero, then!”
“Eh, not yet at... aaAAHH!”
Izuku studied Melissa’s exterior, observing her from back to front. “Interesting...” he muttered, “wh-“
“Ahem, Izuku.” Coughed All Might. Izuku straightened suddenly, flustered.
“Ah, sorry, guess I got a little carried away. Sorry,” he apologized, his hand at the back of his neck.
“Don’t worry about it,” ushered Melissa, “no harm done!”
Melissa smiled wryly to herself as Izuku eccentrically invited her a tour around I-Island himself, his eyes sparkling brightly.
Whatever this day brings, thought Melissa, watching Izuku. I don’t think I’ll ever want to spend it without him...

Just a a heads up, this might not be very good, but I still kinda tried, so... *cri*

Prompt 1- Fist Kiss
“Tonight’s so peaceful, isn’t it?”
Melissa gazed from Deku to the balcony view, admiring the snow-blanketed city lights gleaming to the indigo sky, snowflakes drifted down slowly from the thick clouds above.
“Yeah,” she replied, “I’d never get this on I-Island. Snow and the silence.” A light breeze blew around them, Melissa shivered pleasantly. She loved the winter season, so much.
Deku wrapped his muscular arm around Melissa’s waist, her heart fluttered so strongly she thought it would fly away if it weren’t in her body.
“Dek-”
He kissed her.
She kissed back.
She closed her eyes, the warm, romantic feeling whisking her away as she rested her arms on Deku’s chest. She didn’t feel the ground beneath her feet- it was as if she was flying.
Deku cupped his hand around Melissa’s face, she could feel his fingers mop into her blond hair, the other cradling her waist gently.
“I don’t want this to end.” Whispered Deku, ending the kiss. Melissa put her forehead against his.
“I can tell,” she smiled. “I don’t either.”

Ok wanna know what really bugged me??? In the Two Heroes BNHA movie and there was that scene where all the students were like ‘shit what do we do??? We gotta help everybody?!?’ And Melissa is like ‘yeah and I’m coming with!’ (Warning: this is so long, why do I procrastinate so bad on my actually work)
And Midoriya said she shouldn’t cause she couldn’t fight and brought up the fact that she didn’t have a quirk- I think that’s bullshit. Here’s why
He was FUCKING QUIRKLESS

No but in all honesty it really pissed me off because that totally takes away so much character development. Like, I want Midoriya to be an advocate against quirk discrimination because there is no way in hell he would knowingly let that type of thing go on. I mean, it’s canon that he regularly was bullied and suicide baited. You think that just happened to him? Obviously it basically all started with Bakugou but the stereotypes for all qurikless people were present everywhere. With coming to UA, making actual friends, and kinda sorta starting to repair his relationship with Bakugou... there is no way in hell Midoriya would sit by while so many kids go through what he did.
Other kinda random points that mostly relate to this
- ummmm Melissa was smart as fuck??? Like, that gauntlet thing she made was kinda like the headpiece thing her dad made for All Might
- also where did all the quirk analysis go?? Like Midoriya is also like genius level smart... he quickly records strengths and possible strategies for quirks (literally the first episode when Mt Lady made her debut and Mido was like she’s gonna have trouble getting around and he was RIGHT)
- quirkless Deku shouldn’t go away cause he has a quirk now: this boi went through years of trauma with NO support (I love Inko DONT get me wrong, but she could have supported Mido more). You cannot tell me this little boy wouldn’t still flinch at Bakugou’s explosions even at UA, even though he should know he’s safe: it’s a learned thing and it’s basically ingrained in him. There’s more but this is already so long so I’m gonna move on
- that’s what bugs me tho. This broccoli boy spent years being told he can’t do anything and he tried to adapt (found things that kept him going) and he has the AUDACITY to tell Melissa that she can’t come with??? Now, I know that maybe he didn’t mean it that way (I’m gonna rewatch the scene again cause I haven’t watched it in a hot minute) but the fact still stands that he is the one who brought it up, even though Mido knows Melissa is incredibly smart.
I will add that I also think that if Midoriya hadn’t said it, someone else would have (I also think that it would literally be anyone other than Bakugou because I think he is starting to realize he was a dick and has no right to talk about it until he apologizes). I also that that Midoriya would have a hard time speaking up against it. Don’t get me wrong, he would probably fill with spite, sadness and MAYBE rage ( I say maybe because Mido is usually the type of person who tries to move on, which is another I’ll bring up, just not in this) but he spent all his life being blamed for things he didn’t do, for being born, being outcasted, and literally always told to sit down and shut up. This is where I would want Bakugou to come and and help with tbh (kinda his way of apologizing because he’s not good with words but he is good with fighting and maybe he can fight for Mido with his words... that’s so confusing sorry)
Guys I’m sorry this is so long but I had to get my thoughts out on this
