I'm a big fan of this fanfic and I enjoy reading it every time. And in this chapter... I especially liked the idea that JD gets along very well with animals (the scene with Barnabas was so cute, I couldn't help but draw it ಥ⁠‿⁠ಥ). From now on, this is canon for me!))

I found out at my last eye appointment that I have astigmatism along with the near-sightedness so naturally I have to pass the same curse down to him

Honestly, I love it when characters relapse. When someone who’s gotten over their anger issues falls into a situation so out of their depth they fall back on their old habits. When someone who’s learned to open up becomes a recluse again in order to cope with something outside their control.

There’s just something so horrible, so toxic, about watching a character grow and then slip back into their old selves in order to cope, bc you know they still care, that they’re the same inside, but watching them hurt so hard they don’t know what else to do brings a sense of catharsis.

Maybe I don’t have anxiety. Maybe I’m so scared all the time on account of it all being so scary.

Oh my gosh, AMAZING ART!!! He’s so cute I just wanna squeeze him and tell him everything will be ok! (It won’t, cuz I’m a bad person and torture my poor characters 😭)
