YAYYY i finally have all 3 colorswirl ponies! š„³
Y'all I fumbled on a thrift store find. I rarely buy my pony toys new- I usually find them second hand and impulsively purchase them, because it's harder to resist when they're right in front of me. So I found this one set of Meet the Main 6 at a second-hand store. They were $5 a piece. $5 a piece for second hand toys should've been the first red flag š©BUT THEY WERE RIGHT THERE AND SO CUTE So I paid $30 for the whole set. Today I found the exact same set brand new online for $27. So $3 cheaper (meh not a big deal) but they were BRAND NEW. Verses my Applejack who has suspicious red stains on her š
But alas, I will likely make this mistake again in the future because there's something much more satisfying about buying my ponies irl instead of online. Here's a pic of the mentioned set ā¬ļø
YES I AGREE!!!
Honestly, I donāt understand the design choice at all. I mean, other toys being released from this time looked so cool! More fluid with a modern feel. These toys feel like they wanted to capture earlier MLP gens retro feel on something that was very much not. Donāt even get me started on the gen 5 toys.
My dream gen4 my little pony toy
The discourse has long since passed on this since MLP Gen 4 has been out for years, and now they have the g5 toys which are even worse, but anyways.
I think its a real shame they didn't make the g4 pony toys have like... any poses.
Lauren Faust has such a dynamic artstyle and I understand how it was hard to make into 3D but I refuse to believe this was the best they could do:
When theyre posed they have ugly little tube legs and no elbow. I think lauren fausts artstyle works with horses because she actually tool the time to look at horse anatomy and make it unique and stylized but these look so bad and not even very dynamic when they do do the poses but usually they dont do any poses at all.
The āKubrick Stareā is one of Stanley Kubrickās most recognizable directorial techniques, a method of shot composition where a character stares at the camera with a forward tilt, to convey to the audience that the character in question is at the peak of their derangement.
I got the G3 Teapot Palace and the G3 Ferris Wheel!!!!
Theyāre so perfect for displaying all of my miniatures! And in the view you can see that the lights and music and stuff work for both still!! The dance spinners for the teapot are a little clicky, but itās not a big problem!
