Fargo Season 5
I haven't kept up with the series as a whole, but I saw Mary McDonnell's season and a few at the beginning. Really enjoyed it all.
But boy howdy, I keep picturing her as Lorraine Lyon and she would have killed it.
No disrespect to JJL. I just would have found Mary's a tough ass bitch more enjoyable to watch.
Unpopular opinion but style theft is real if you literally draw the same subjects that the artist you stole from draws. THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE IP ART STYLES. But if you copy someone's unique art style to the smallest detail to the point where people are confused about who drew it, then it's pretty obvious that you're trying to profit from another person's creativity. There is nothing wrong with inspiration, taking details you like from another artist and adding them to your drawings, taking part in an art style challenge, or even imitating their techniques AS LONG as you add your own spin to it!! No one owns concepts, no one owns styles, but I would consider piggy-backing on a small artist just to get yourself seen and noticed WRONG!!!!! THE JOY OF BEING AN ARTIST IS EXPERIMENTING AND FINDING OUT WHAT WORKS FOR YOU!! You are literally hindering your improvement if you rely on the creativity and rules another artist has worked hard to develop specifically for THEMSELVES. Even young artists who start out copying other people always end up growing and wanting to make something that represents them instead.
This is why no one likes those white boy Basquiat impersonators on Instagram, even though they adore Basquiats' original pieces. The history and meaning are lost and replaced with a horrible attempt at gaining clout and recognition. Basquiat is not a small artist, but I hope you understand my point. It would be an original piece if, for example, a person made a self-portrait using the Basquiat art style, rather than just recreating something that already exists with absolutely no creative input on their end.
Sometimes I wanna make so much, but I can't though, because my dumb brain is tired or my dumb brain is hungry or my dumb brain wants to sleep. WHEN WILL IT BE OVER?
I still think her music is very very plain, but plain in the relaxing turn off your brain and listen to music while you work kinda plain, aka the good kind.

Ive never been a fan of taylor swift, especially now with her horrible enviormental impact (private jets, multiple album releases of the same album, re-releasing an alternative album whenever someone else reaches the number one spot) I get that many mainstream artists do this, but Im not a fan of those guys either. I was also a teen when Shake It Off first came out. It was literally hell to listen to; it was playing everywhere nonstop, and I really hated that song. BUT I listened to some of her older albums, and I actually like them?? Why is this hard to admit? well, because its very simple, kinda generic pop music that I would usually avoid. I quite like her Speak now album and a few songs from folklore, fearless, etc. I was curious about her newer albums Midnights and The Tortured Poets Department, and whether they were the same kind of relaxing, girly aura songs, but OH MAN, they are terrible. I was actually kinda excited to have my mind changed about Taylor's music, and it has changed somewhat, but these albums are just the same songs over and over again, and they aren't even good.
TL;DR I discovered that taylor swift has good songs, and I shouldnt rely on public opinion to shape my own so much but the public was also right about how bad her new albums are.

Yall know the mission "My Last Boy"? Yeah the one where Dutch sends a bunch of the native Americans to their deaths, the one where Arthur leads Dutch to the money, the one where Arthur gets steam blown in the face, where Dutch leaves him and he would have died if it wasn't for Eagle Flies? Yeah that one. Arthur isn't paid anything for that mission.
Instead we are given a little message saying "the other half is split between the gang members who worked the job" meaning Dutch does not think Arthur contributed in that mission.He killed all those folk, he fought, he almost died and he showed Dutch the location of the money, yet he didn't get anything because he didn't work it apparently.

Hosea, a man who’s willing to face and accept the parts within himself and the realities of the life he’s lived vs Dutch, a man who’s clawing and fighting and resisting; who’s refusing to see the truth even when it’s right in front of him.

And their son Arthur— stuck between them in the present, trying to figure out his place in things.
Genuinely this is such a cool concept. Though it certainly isn’t meant to be a horror game, RDR2 does have its fair share of terrifying moments (I still get chills every time I remember my first encounter with the Night Folk)
I would have loved to see Rockstar explore horror more intentionally in a DLC, especially with a focus on Native American legends and cryptid folklore.

No I’m not thinking about little frail 14 year old Arthur Morgan scared for his life, yet cautiously following these two men who took him in and fed him.
No I’m not thinking about them teaching him how to read and write, but also how to fight and shoot.
No I’m not thinking about Arthur learning how to ride a horse for the first time on his young filly, Boadicea. Or him begging Dutch and Hosea to let him keep this feral dog who brought chaos and laughter to the camp.
No I’m not thinking about little Arthur Morgan getting scrapes and bruises while running around and being a delinquent and hiding his scrunched face and tears as Hosea tends to his many wounds.
No I’m not thinking about Arthur Morgan in his early twenties when he was introduced to this kid who reminds him of himself, with the wildest personality and sad backstory.
And how he eventually built a brotherly relationship with that kid, John. Someone he can boss around and protect, but call an idiot from time to time, especially since he acted like one sometimes.
No I’m not thinking about Arthur Morgan in his early twenties when he had a son, and then lost him and his son’s mother a few years later. And the grief that came from that.
No I’m not thinking about Arthur Morgan in his mid twenties meeting a Woman whom he was never destined to marry, even though he tried his best for her.
